We often face such a situation or see somebody in faced with such a situation like chewing gum stuck to one’s clothes or fabric or your upholstery, carpets or rugs and even hair and shoes. Chewing gums as we know is always used and thrown however if you have kids in your house, you can expect it stuck up your chair or carpet. Sometimes you even find it on their hair, shoes and clothes. The question which haunts you is how to remove chewing gum from clothes? Well, you must not panic or get irritated with your kid as kids will always be kids and you cannot do anything about it, but you can definitely do something about the chewing gum.
There are many ways which can help you remove the chewing gum from clothes. You can fold the garment or clothes which have the chewing gum so that the gum protrude out and then place it in a plastic bag carefully without making the gum touch the plastic bag. Keep it in the refrigerator and freeze it. Once the gum is all frozen, use an old knife or a butter knife and try to scrape it off the clothes. You can boil water in a kettle and let the steam out on the part of clothes or fabric which is affected by the gum. The steam coming out of the mouth of the kettle will soften the gum and it will make it easy for you to scrub it out. When using a tooth brush for scrubbing, make sure you scrub in one direction.
