I would like to start my reflective writing by saying that I am extremely grateful for being given the opportunity to take part in this assignment because it is completely different to all of my modules and granted a new one, which is practical approach to learning and exciting. Management accounting is exceptionally abstract subject that focuses on costs of the management. This emphasize to set and allocate the budgets , prepare financial position of the organization , analyses every transactions and make decisions, similarly, predicts the most likely outcome and estimate the cost for activities undertaken within the management. This module, however gave me the opportunity to experience different aspects of running a business where decisions …show more content…
This helped me establish new friendships and possibly important contacts for future. I have enriched imperative skills that are fundamental to working in a management. This has helped me develop social, communication, listening, decision-making,organization,time -keeping and reflective thinking skills which will gradually lead to my success in work place, socially and professionally. For me, the most significant aspect was this module offered a practice meeting that would give great insight into standard business practice. We managed to divide our tasks taking part in meeting where my team’s decisions, actions and future strategies are critically discussed. Before the weekend began each team member had to solve the series of the problems. My group findings stated that I possessed the qualities of a team worker who is sociable, rather mild and sensitive. I was literally surprised to be considered myself as a leader, or decision maker, where I could make my opinions clear. However, after the decisions are made I found myself inaccurate and two other people who were in my group were much more authorative and confident. Before I started this class I never knew what sociology was. I thought I knew, but I actually didn’t. I thought it was some boring study about the society that we live in, but I was proven wrong by this course. Through many different concepts taught I have been able to understand what sociology really is, and how to apply it to my daily life. There were many topics that we talked about in class that I can apply to my life be it school, work, home. Some of the many topics we talked about that really spoke to me were sexuality, race, and gender.
Writing essays was never my forte, it just never came easy to me like it would to others. Since other subjects came easy to me and I had to focus more than others on writing, I had a negative attitude toward the process as a whole. During this summer semester, I was able to grow as a writer, and gain a more positive attitude toward how I write and a better feel for writing in college. Writing a paper is a process in which there are many different stages. In high school I would never write outlines or any sort of pre planning work. Other struggles I encountered in my writing were my theses, and framing quotes.
Up until this year, before taking the class intermediate composition, I thought I was a terrible writer. I was right. Writing isn’t something that I enjoy doing, nor am I good at. Writing is difficult for me because I’m not very good at explaining things in a professional manner, that can be easily well written. While writing you are expected to make little to no mistakes, which is not something I’m great at. I am so much better at explaining things with verbal words rather than written words. I had not taken any extra writing classes before this year rather than the mandatory ones. Like I had stated before, I hate writing, with a passion. I dread writing anything, especially an essay for school, like this one. I’m
Multiple essays have been formulated during the duration of Composition 1. These essays have taught me an important lesson about my writing, failure is acceptable in order to grow. On the other hand, I made an important discovery last year that I want to study journalism and advance further in that field after college. From taking journalism classes, to blogging in my spare time, to always getting an A on my papers, I thought I had no room to improve. I was mistaken. Therefore, because of the rigorous essay work each essay brought, I learned more about how to write different pieces and grow from my “failure”.
Initial Reflective Essay When I first thought of what I wanted to do with my life after college, the first thing I thought of was helping people. The next step in deciding what I wanted to do with my life was to examine how I could accomplish this goal. I started pondering and I was thinking about how much I love to take care of my body. Health care and personal hygiene has always been an important factor in my life. So I decided to major in Health Sciences.
Writing an essay often seems to be an overwhelming task for many individuals. For students like myself, who came from another country, writing can be more difficult and challenging. It can be very frustrating to fully comprehend an idea, and being unable to express it proficiently in English can be excruciating. For these reasons, assistance is often needed to become an effective writer. The focus of this paper is to demonstrate the process on how I organized and accomplished my most recent essay, and to identify the struggles I encountered when writing the paper. In addition, plans on how to improve my next paper, based on the teacher’s feedback from my previous essay, and topics including methods on how instructors can help develop my essay
In my writing I have seen large amounts of growth, I have learned how to better introduce all my sources as well as how to flow my ideas, as well as how unnecessary the five-paragraph essay is. Wring has become easier for me due to the fact that I now I feel understand how to write. I understand that there must be a “they say” and an “I say” in my writing. There has to be an equal balance to everything I write. For example I cannot just write a piece all about my opinions as well how, I cannot just write a piece about what others are saying without explaining the purpose of it all. English 5A has helped me overly improve my writing skills and has shown me new very important skills on how to be a better writer.

Management accounting in organisation is very important for decision-making and to make the business more efficient and therefore increasing its profits. Poetry, a realm of systematic functions that act as indicators for another thing, is a testament to the author's mastery of language. Understanding the code that authors use allows the reader to delve into the hidden depths of a poem. Enda St. Vincent Millay, the mastermind behind 'April', deftly employs poetic devices such as disdainful diction, personification, endowed lines, and imagery to unveil the theme of beauty, not concealing the reality of death. For example, the extraordinarily shocking and vile language in April's poem adds to the critical tone. The diction is highly sour."
Writing assignments over this course of time have gave knowledge and taught new processes for specific types of assignments. My attitude overall this semester has changed towards the writing process, as before I only use to pay attention to developing my three main ideas. Now I give attention to throws cited, grammar, structure and organization of the paragraphs. Essay’s overall presentation, problem solution and convincible factors lead to a good essay. This essay reflects level of difficulty or ease to produce essays, all the possible tasks and processes involved, and writing process of specific essay.
At the start of this class, I made a goal to develop my writing skills to better prepare me for other courses for my degree. I knew English 106 would be different compared to any other English or college courses that I have taken. I knew English 106 environment will let me grow in diverse writing dimensions. My long serving years of experience in the military has exposed me to many cultures around the globe. In just seven weeks of the course, I have seen some improvement in my writing. This course has afforded me with several techniques that have made writing not only a little bit easier but also more in-depth resulting in a higher level of academic writing versus my normal military style writing. Now I understand the writing process and
Philosopher Donald Shön argues that reflective practice is a dialogue of thinking and doing through which we become more skilful (Shön 1983, 31). According to Jürgen Habermas reflection is a tool used in the development of particular forms of knowledge (Moon 1999, 13). In this essay I will reflect upon my work experience with the NRK (Norsk Rikskringkasting AS), Norway’s largest media organisation, and reflect over what I have learned as well as how it made me develop as a journalist. I undertook a 10-days work placement at the NRK, which is Norway’s government-owned radio and television public broadcasting company. I did my placement in Trondheim, at one of the radio-departments called P1 and my work experience took part in two different radio programmes.
The "Understanding the Business World" module has enabled me to reflect upon my own learning, performance and achievement and to plan for my personal, educational and career development.
...urse of this module will be extremely beneficial for my future. If I am to have the opportunity to become part of the managerial sector within the IT industry, I believe I will be more confident and have better listening skills. After this course, I have now clearly identified my strengths and weaknesses and identified opportunities and threats that they provide. Hopefully, if I apply the knowledge I have gained from the course, and apply it to the working world, I will be able to handle situations with more confidence, and show much more calamity and assertiveness. NLP can also be used more effectively when communicating with others. After the continuous and consistent team work available throughout this module, I believe management is a more suitable career option for me. As can be seen previously, effective communication is only achieved with constant practise.
