Reflective Essay: What I Learned In My Writing Class

I've always considered myself a good writer, but I realize now, I always room for improvement. I look back at my work from last semester and I noticed that my writing has improved a lot. The skills I have gained gave me an understanding of knowing what I am doing. The main objective in English 1010 was to become a better writer than you were previously and I believe I achieved this course's goal.
When I began this class, I thought that I knew a lot about writing. However, as I progressed through the class I realized I didn’t knew as much as I thought. Some of the topics that we discussed about in this class, I had already heard about them, but I learned a lot more in this class than any other class. From the beginning of the semester I felt really incompetent not being able to understand my professors vocabulary. His language encouraged me to look up the the meaning, being able to understand these words expanded my vocabulary. These reading skills also opened many ways I could write my essays instead of limiting them to how I usually wrote. These skills enable me to take more pleasure in writing and not have to worry so much about the writing assignment itself.
In this course, I had to learn how to work at a fast pace, but I think that is the best way to keep our minds focused and on task. Which ultimately helped me with my typing abilities. In the beginning, this was a challenge for me because I am the type of writer to take an eternity to come up with list of ideas and put them together. Because this class is fast paced, the assignments are more concentrated, there wasn’t any busy work. This made it a lot easier for to get things done effectively, discussing what is needed to input into our essays in class and doing the work at
