I demonstrate engagement and passion for the business and for ones work. I consistently challenge myself to build engagement and develop professional relationships with team members. I use company resources that are available to us and apply them to strengthen my skills and abilities. I always look at every situation from multiple prospective which allows me to keep and maintain a positive attitude. I always work cooperatively in team settings by contributing ideas and goals that need to be reached; I always backup others and help others as necessary from all of the departments. I always have a professional attitude and show respect and work with all team members, this includes participating in decision making by given my input and proposing
...following through with my commitments. I know I struggle sometimes with following through with commitments but I remind myself of the importance of being a trustworthy person. I focus on expressing gratitude, because I realize the significance in my life. I express gratitude because I know everything existing in my life is without reason. Integrity becomes an important value in my life, simply because I know my credibility is on the line. Working in an environment where integrity is sometimes forgotten, my duty becomes exemplifying integrity with everyone I meet. My purpose becomes a reality in my life as I am continually seeing the positivity in things concerning my life. My life purpose statement, “I am the geyser so that people spew out positivity to those around them.”
In this write-up, I would be describing, analyzing and evaluating integrated working in healthcare in England. Over the last periods in the England there has been a growing importance by the government on co-operative care, inter specialised working, and partnerships between the health and community care services.
To discuss work, one must first of all try to define work. Once one starts to think about this definition however, one finds that there are as many definitions of work as there are people. Experts such as sociologists have been trying to reach a definite answer, yet they can never agree between them. Although it is accepted that work is that time which is not leisure, one is then confounded with trying to find a definition for leisure. Stanley Parker reached a compromise by dividing our time in five sections, merging from pure work to pure leisure. However this difficulty in defining work should point out that these many different definitions lead to different attitudes, with the result that one can never generalise.
...en I have a goal. I work hard and don't give up easily. I am a perpetual optimist always looking to the future and learning from my mistakes rather than letting them pull me down. I have a certain amount of natural intelligence, and what I lack I make up for with persistence and tenacity. I have an inherent belief that I will accomplish my goals that keeps me positive and pursuing my goals even when it is difficult to do so.
Good personal care is a part of positive working practice as if a client personal care is not cared for in the right manner then the client will have poor health and well-being, and may be disrespected. It is important for a client to have good personal care as this will prevent them from health issues such as fungus infections e.g. athlete foot, toe nail fungus infections etc. Positive working practice with personal care includes aspects such as appropriate touch which includes being clear to the client about why they are using touch, also they have to take into consideration gender and cultural factors when using touch. Personal preference and emotional state this means asking the client how they would prefer to be helped and allow them as much independence in which the staff thinks it is safe. General hygiene, toileting and safety when looking after someone who has limited mobility or has problem balancing, are also elements of positive practice when implementing personal care to a client .Person...
Whether it be giving a Band-aid, a hug, or some advice, caring for others brings me satisfaction and fulfillment. I really want to connect with the people around me and make them feel the best they can be. My best self also emerges when I am facing a challenge. Even if I am stressed, the motivation to do well, word hard, and succeed prevails over the worry. I become laser-focused and I let nothing get in my way of finishing the job to the best of my ability. I put 110% effort into everything I do because nothing would be worth accomplishing if you didn’t give it your all; I would feel no pride in subpar work. These are all some of my enablers; what enable me to be my best self. However, I also have many blockers, or things that prevent me from being my best self. My best self is blocked by certain relationships. When I work with people who do not believe in working their hardest or who take advantage of me, I am held back from achieving my goals. Since there is often no assigned leader, I can not force them to do their work. I believe in a fair and equal distribution of work and balanced relationships although I do acknowledge that people have different work attitudes. My best self is especially hindered by my anxiety with strangers or large groups of people. In those situations, I become frustrated because my fear dominates my strengths of drive, hard work, and leader/mediator. I do not voice my opinion and become a follower rather than a
After taking the above actions, I will make both quantitative and qualitative measures to evaluate my skills whether or not are improved. The quantitative measure is to make a survey that asks for categorical questions to my peers or groupmates who need to rate a response 1-10 marks every time. Every result of survey would be calculated and compared, which I can know what I should improve more and what I have achieved. Also, I will apply qualitative measure, like verbal interview, that ask open-ended questions for peers to get evaluation or feedback.
However, one petal my job is missing is having a goal, purpose, or mission in life. My major goal in my petal was the kingdom of the mind, this is when you want to spread your knowledge to others. I think financial planning is important and many people don’t use their money wisely. My goal is to spread my knowledge of financial planning to others so that they can live a less stressful life and reach their financial goals. This is something my job currently doesn’t allow me to do as I don’t communicate with clients.
...objectives. I have finally come to know what my goals are and the way in which my career will be sculpted. It is more of self-evaluation and self organization than for others.
Reflection and reflective practice are terms widely used by many professional groups this assignment will focus on the education sector, specifically primary education. Reflective practice was originally defined by Dewey (1933:9) as: “An active persistent and careful consideration of any belief or supposed form of knowledge in the light of the grounds that supports it and the further conclusion to which it tends”. Although dated, Dewey is considered a seminal author and referenced broadly when examining reflective practice (Ghaye and Lillyman, 2006., Tripp, 2012., Schön, 2014., and Carroll and McCulloch, 2014). Many others have subsequently provided their own definitions including Kolb (1984), Boud (1985), Schon (1987), and Gibbs (1988). In
I also want to be involved in the goal setting process for the company and myself. Although I enjoy working with people, I need a high degree of independence to flourish. I also want to work with a manager who is interested in creating a motivating environment. Positive reinforcement is the tool that appeals to me the most. I would like to be rewarded as I achieve a goal or set a new standard.
...cation and motivation. Finally shared some thoughts on what are effective employees, successful managers, and exemplary citizens.
The official working week is being reduced to 35 hours a week. In most countries in the world, it is limited to 45 hours a week. The trend during the last century seems to be unequivocal : less work, more play.
Introduction Police women are often viewed by the general public as women in badges and not as police officers like their male counterparts (Shannon, 2016). This is where the discrimination of female police officers is birthed which then trickles down to their colleagues (Marshall, 2013). According to Kipling (2007), a typical female police officer is physically generally weaker compared to the male which is a challenge when they handle some of the tasks comfortably handled by the males. Past literature including those of Russel (2014) and Nash (2016) provide proof that for this reason, they are mostly given minor, light or non-risky duties as compared to the male officers.
The buzzword in the global HR arena these days is ‘employee engagement’. Its impact has become so immense that is has become somewhat indispensible in the realm of the business world where operational efficiency and profit earning are the sole endeavour of any company. The questions are often asked regarding the utility of the employee engagement policies that are adopted by the companies especially in this world of cutthroat competition. These policies have been extremely useful one hand for the organisations; on the other hand they have been a failed drastically as effective HR and internal communications function in lot of companies.
