Since students spent a lot of time in the classroom, the relationship and interaction with the teachers is of highest importance because if handled right it is a powerful tool to engage or if used wrong the most powerful disengaging tool. Hamre and Pianta have developed a Teaching Through Interactions (TTI) framework to translate the overwhelming literature into concepts and assessment for the classroom and to evaluate classroom interactions within three different domains: emotional support, classroom organization, and instructional support. The attachment theory says that if children know emotional support is waiting for them, they will be more self-confident and discovering outside their comfort zone. Self-determination theory says that highest motivation for learning can be accomplished by strengthening the children’s need to feel skilled, independent and close to others. Classroom organization consists of the coordination of behavior, time, and attention. And the third domain, instructional interaction, is defined as the event between the learner and the environment in gaining functional knowledge. Engagement and learning outcomes can be enhanced by three pieces of the interaction such as instructional behavior, discussions and activities. Optimally, it encourages the student to establish skills of concepts and higher – order thinking.
