It all started on a warm Friday in May of 1996. When I bore a grin on my face as enormous as the Joker. Granted, I knew it was going to be a remarkable day with my abdomen filled with butterflies. Being that my grandmother was allowing myself to set off to my classmate Tammy slumber party, now as she and I started packing my pajama and necessity in a miniature overnight bag. Then we assembled down upon the bed to express the rules for attending the sleepover. The phone rung, it’s Tammy’s mother confirming my stay that night. As they talked, I sat there thrilled and excited, that Tammy the furthermost popular girl in school invited me to her slumber party.
Even more, Tammy’s house was gorgeous, wall-to-wall carpet, large vases, and paintings

We Then pulled up to the Rascal House in downtown Cleveland, with Kellie in the front seat, Tammy and Linda jumped out the automobile, and Tanita and I sat in the back seat, at that time Tammy pulled handle on the locked door. I glanced at my friends at the front door of the restaurant, and the employee through the window as they swept the floor and cleaned up. Tammy then began to tap on the glass window to consult if the workers would allow her to buy a pizza. Later, I heard next was one knock, two knocks with the knuckles of her fist against the glass the third knock and glass shattered everywhere. The alarm immediately sounded off the quieted vacant street. The worker ran out and began to chase Tammy and Linda with knives and brooms. At that time Kellie pulled off, we circle the block a couple of times to find our friends. Granted that Police cars were patrolling the streets, and in conclusion, there my friends were handcuffed in front of a police car; we pulled down East 18 Street and a police car followed right behind us with their lights and sirens on. Thus, we were all handcuffed and put in the backseat of the police cars and release to our parents. Therefore, the police took Tammy to the detention center on 22nd Street until her mother picked her up the following
On a normal work night at Pete’s Pizza, two co-workers decided to switch shifts. Kayla Cutler asked Gabie Klug to work a Wednesday evening, so she could have Friday evening off. That night Kayla and Drew are working, a man named “John Robertson” called in to order three large meat monster pizzas to be delivered to 1091 River Road which is a fake address. He asked if the girl in the mini cooper was making deliveries, the one driving the mini cooper is Gabie, but since Gabie isn’t there, Kayla had to go make the delivery. Kayla takes the order and never comes back, so Drew got worried and decided to call the police and file a report, for a missing person. As time passes, Drew told Gabie that the guy who ordered had asked for the girl driving
On September 18, 2015, I called Ms. Ashaunta Lanier and identified myself and the purpose of my call. Ms. Lanier informed me that she was about to call the police to report Tavon’s return. Ms. Lanier reported that her son had been in The District of Columbia where he was caught committing a robbery. Ms. Lanier reported that a search warrant had been executed and evidence which implicates her son had been recovered. Ms. Lanier authorized me to meet with Tavon at school.
Peanut dust in the air, shells on the ground, country music blaring overhead, and workers dancing around, Texas Roadhouse is known not only for its delectably delicious food, but also its friendly environment and excellent customer service. It is a restaurant I would definitely recommend to people of all kinds from those looking for somewhere to hang out with friends to a family looking for somewhere to celebrate a birthday or other special occasion or even two people looking for a place to have a casual second or third date. Texas Roadhouse is a popular restaurant, so our small wait (no more than 15 minutes) was nothing to be disappointed about. We got to enjoy the restaurant’s simple wooded look with a variety of wall décor representing Virginia schools. We also got to participate in their traditional birthday “YEE HAW” celebration twice while waiting.
Sleep-over by Bonnie Jo Campbell is more than the usual teenager maturity story; between the lines, and behind the symbolism there is an underlying meaning. I believe the author is speaking from experience when telling this story. This story may be the authors depiction of the event of how she remembers it. From the title to the last sentence, Campbell expresses literary devices, natural languages, and involves her personal life into the story making it more than a teenage tale.
Mary Kay Letourneau was a 34 year old teacher from Seattle, Washinton who was convicted of second degree rape on a twelve year old boy. As a result of this affair this already mother of four had two childeren with this 12 year old boy. She originally was senteced to spend 90 days in jail and was to take medicine for being bi-polar. She violated parole by again having sexual intercourse with Vili once again. She was senteced to seven and a half years in jail and was recently released from prison. The area of this situation I will be writing about is the incidicent that happend in the marina with Vili and Mary. Both were found in a mini-van by the police late at night , approximatly 0100 am. Vili appeared to be hiding under a sleeping bag and the police asked how old he was. She replied and said he was 18. The police became suspcious after the youth did not have any idenitification amd said he was 14. The police brought the two of them to the station where Vili's mother was called and she ok'd the fact that Mary was watching over VIli. Some questions come of this situation. Was the police response standard protocol? Was their investigation solid? Was the out come fair? And, If I was the commanding officer what orders would I have given to the investigators.
It all started on the evening of December 7, 1982. A young waitress in her twenties, named Debbie Carter, had taken off of her shift early at a local Ada bar. She proceeded to enjoy a few drinks with several old high school friends before heading home shortly after midnight. Debbie was last seen having a confrontation with a man who was a regular at the bars as she got into her vehicle. The waitress’s friends had asked her to come join a group of them going to back to one of the friend’s houses to continue the hanging out; Debbie declined, but about 2:30a.m., her friend, Gina received two calls back to back from Debbie. Through all the n...
On the early morning hours of May 12th, 2007 Maggie Haines woke up to noises. She didn’t know what was going on so she went into her parents where she found her mother slightly sitting on the edge of her bed. Her mom told Maggie that she needed to go get help. Maggie ran to a neighbors house and they called the police. When they arrived the went to the neighbors house first to ask Maggie what was going on but she couldn’t give them an exact answer. Her father had recently been in the hospital and she thought that there was a possibility that there was a complication with that. After multiple knocks on the Haines’ family home with no response the two responding officers went in and started a sweep of the home. They found sixteen year old Kevin Haines laying facedown in a pool of blood just outside his bedroom door. Inside his bedroom there was blood splattered all across the walls. Down the hall in Tom and Lisa Haines’ room they were also deceased on arrival but the scene in their bedroom wasn’t as bad. Since the majority of the attack was on Kevin Haines it seemed that he was the primary target. No one could think of anyone who would want to do this to the Haines family. The only real person of interest in the beginning was Maggie Haines. She had just come home from college, she was the only survivor, and her demeanor after the murders was odd. Although, she was later cleared of any wrong doing. The Haines family were from Mainheim Township, Pennsylvania and lived on a beautiful quiet street Peach Lane. Tom Haines was married to Lisa Ann Haines and they had two children Maggie and Kevin Haines. Tom Haines was a fifty year old salesman at Motion Industries. Lisa Ann Haines was a forty-seven year old preschool tea...

On the 23rd of May 1957, Mapp and her daughter were home when three Cleveland police came to their house. After knocking on their door, the police demanded to enter their house. According to the police, they have an information about a bombing suspect that was hiding in their home. The police also said that there was an illegal gambling equipment inside their home. Before Mapp allowed them entry despite them forcing her, she called her lawyer and was advised to demand for a search warrant before allowing them to come in. The police cannot show any warrant hence she refused entry. The police officers cannot do anything with her refusing to grant them
I said to my mom, “ Ma! como? donde? que le quitaron? cuando paso esto? porque no me dijistes nada cuando hablamos esa noche del incidente!?’’ ( Mom! how? where? what did they took from him? when did this happen? why didn’t you let me know anything that night that the incident happen? when we talked on the phone)’’. My mom spoke to me, telling me, “ Fue el Sabado aqui a tres casas de donde vivimos, iba en camino a la practica de baseball, le pegaron y le quitaron el teléfono pero la policía pudo ver donde estaba con ese sonido que le tiene lex cuando pierdes tu teléfono. Yo no te dije nada porque sabia que ivas a preocuparte y quererte venir, y yo quería que disfrutaras el viaje, que trabajastes mucho para poder ir Jackie’’ ( It was on Saturday, three houses away from where we live, he was on his way to practice, they hit him on the face and took his phone but the police tracked it down with the sound lex can put whenever you lose your phone. I didn’t tell you anything because I didn’t want to get you worried nor have you come back, I wanted you to enjoy your trip that you worked so hard for Jackie...)’’. Speechless to be for the rest of the night, I teared up and I was so
It was 12:00 at night, but I was still wide awake. I was anxious for the trip that was in store for me. The next morning I drove to the airport and took a flight to Colorado. I rented a car and drove to Red Cliffs lodge in Moab, Utah. Moab is a dry, desert town in Utah located right next to Canyonlands national park where I would spend most of my time. Right as I got out of the car I could see the beautiful canyonlands scenery. The gigantic cliffs of the island in the sky loomed over the lodge. The blue waters of the Colorado river ran behind the lodge. My room was spacious and had a great view of the cliffs. The best part of the room was the window right above my bed. That night I fell asleep gazing at a full moon and a sky full of stars.
One Saturday night, Kasi, Beth, Beka, Amy, and I had nothing to do. Like always, at times like this, we decided we would ride around town. We let the top down on Kasi’s vehicle. It was a red Jeep Wrangler, with red interior and big mud tires. We climbed in the Jeep one by one until we were all inside. Amy, Beka, and Beth all sat in the back after a fight about who had said “shotgun” first. The back was the most uncomfortable. The Jeep was only built for two backseat passengers, so with three back there, it was a tough ride. Kasi and I slid into the front seats. We strapped on our seatbelts, trying to convince the three of them in the back to do so. Our friends did not want to bother strapping in because they were too crowded, and there were only two seatbelts anyway. I was sixteen at the time, and they were all seventeen. We were the perfect picture of youth, five young girls packed into a Jeep with shorts, sweatshirts, and ball caps on.
Amy and I burst into a fit of giggles, and I realized how being in the company of my younger sister regressed me to her awkward, girlish high school age. I had forgotten, until this bedside 2:00 a.m. conversation, how I used to be obsessed with popularity and sports cars, and how I daydreamed of my first kiss. But Amy had much more “experience” than I did at her age. She and her friends had passed their adolescent initiation of first kisses—at least the kind on the lips.
