Paul, claims, “Nobody running for the Republican nomination is better positioned to win the liberty and small government voters than Rand Paul.” [4] A few things he would like to change if given the opportunity include enforcing term limits, cutting government spending in all areas, repealing Obamacare in order to apply free-market principles to the healthcare system, securing the border and encouraging legal immigration, and stopping taxpayer money from supporting abortion clinics. [3] In a recent speech addressing a very important current issue, Paul stated, “American prosperity and freedom can only be achieved if we defend against enemies who are dead set on attacking us. The enemy is radical Islam. You can't get around it. I will do whatever it takes to defend America from these haters of mankind. We need a national defense robust enough to defend against all attack, modern enough to deter all enemies, and nimble enough to defend our vital interests." [2] It is apparent that Paul’s interests lie in the concerns and well-being of the people of our great nation. Additionally, Paul’s background demonstrates his intelligence and ample experience. In 1984, he received his bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and was then accepted into Duke University Medical School. [1] He received his MD in 1988 and went on to pursue a surgical internship at Georgia Baptist Medical Center and continued on to complete his ophthalmology residency at the Duke University Medical Center. [1] More recently, in 2010, Paul was chosen by Kentucky voters to represent their state in the United States Senate. [1] Three years later, Paul earned an overwhelming amount of admiration and respect after executing a thirteen-hour-long Senate filibuster. [5] This kind of dedication and perseverance while fighting for something he believed in proves that Rand Paul would make a dependable, hard-working president. Finally, the most important reason Rand Paul is the most capable man to receive the Republican nomination is because he plays an important role in American society.
After finishing his residency in ophthalmology, Paul created an organization called Southern Kentucky Lions Eye clinic which assists disadvantaged persons needing eye surgeries and exams. [3] This generous act demonstrates Paul’s kind heart and passion for supporting those in need. A few more current issues he has been involved in include the re-introduction of the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, the introduction of the Fifth Amendment Integrity Restoration Act, and the opposing of the reauthorization of section 215 of the Patriot Act. While Paul has been in the United States House Senate, he has always shown his passion for wanting to build society to reach its greatest potential. Paul stated, “I want to unleash the American Dream. I will return our country to freedom and prosperity, and restore the principles upon which this nation was founded: man’s right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”
[3] Indeed, while there are numerous presidential hopefuls competing against him, Rand Paul is the best choice for our future president. He proves that with his continual display of interest about important issues concerning our country, his background which demonstrates his intelligence and ample experience, and with the important role he plays in American society. Paul will continue to validate why he is the best man for the job in the coming months leading up to the primary elections. May our country be returned to ideals of liberty and a more limited government by Rand Paul’s hand!

Ted Cruz is a fairly strong contender for the Republican nomination at the moment and has some definite strengths. His first strength is his fervent support of and commitment to upholding the Constitution, especially the First and Second Amendment. He worked as a lawyer prior to becoming a senator and is well versed in constitutional law. Another strength is his strong conservative ideals, which makes him popular among the Tea Party and evangelical voters, especially when it comes to issues such as abortion, marriage equality, gun rights, immigration and more. In addition, he has the ability to raise a lot of money. In the second quarter of 2015 alone, he had raised over $10 million, with no signs of slowing down. He has a strong campaign team
It is obvious the Republican Party has no brains. If they elect Donald Trump to run for president, they are going to lose big time. They can blame themselves for being so stupid. The establishment runs the Republican Party. They are the ones who lose major elections. The leadership of the Republican Party shifts the blame to conservative wing of the Republican Party; however, it is the moderate wing of the Republican Party who loses elections. Does John McClain ring a bell? If the Republican Party hopes to win the presidency, they must run a conservative or face another trouncing in the next election. It is that simple. Therefore, the Republicans had better wake up fast if they want to

From reading Mountains Beyond Mountains and watching the Time Magazine on Paul Farmer, you can tell Farmer is dedicated to his work. He looks at everything in depth and never gives up. He believes that every nation should be able to have health care that can provide for all their people, so they won’t have to be living in poverty. I agree, if a nation is in poverty, countries that aren’t should be willing to help them as much as they can. Farmer is unlike many, his perspective on health justice is extraordinary and more people should think the way he

The reason why 3rd party candidates don’t win in presidential elections is not because they are unqualified; it’s because the electoral system that we have in place creates enormous obstacles for them. One obstacle is that 3rd party candidates get unfair representation in political debates on television and another is that 3rd party candidates have trouble mobilizing their voters to get to the polls.
Success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose (Macmillan), Ben Carson was successful, but how? It would seem prosperity just requires academic success, and a good career choice, but in reality being triumphant requires certain attributes. Talent, Time, Hope, Honesty, Insight,to be Nice, Knowledge, In-Depth-Learning, and God are all of the aspects Dr. Carson thinks we need in order to be successful. . Not only are these traits essential for success, they can build your character as well. Although all of these traits are crucial, but a few of them are of more significance than the rest. The process being all too eagerly supported by all except the only Senator to vote against the Patriot Act, Senator Feingold. The almost unanimous support of the Senate gave affirmation to the the American people who were nationally united to face the threat of terrorism. An overwhelming majority voiced support for the legislation Congress drafted and decreed would solve the threat of terrorism at its roots. There was also overwhelming support for both President Bush and the compromise of cherished rights such as protection from unwarranted search and seizure. In the political climate after September 11, the Patriot Act was passed from the House of Representatives and the Senate with an almost unanimous result of 96-1. Senator Feingold was the only Senator to fight against the Patriot Act before it was signed into law. The astounding speed of the enactment is best expressed by Peter Justice, “. . . the climate of fear in the weeks after the September 11 attacks and the haste with which the Patriot Act was passed allowed some of its more controversial
Peterson is someone, who recognizes public problems like equal rights. Since before the Civil War our Country has been struggling to establish equal rights. While Amendments to the Construction have been made to insure equal opportunities and rights for all. Society still struggles to know how to respond to this issue. Another issue is health care. The person I chose to be person of the year is Ronald Reagan. This man was not only our 40th president of the United States, but he was a great influence on the soviet union. As Reagan would like to say ‘’ The Soviet Union is the focus of evil in the modern world.’’
If it were up to the people, Ted Cruz would be the nominee. He is leading in most Iowa polls. He’s a favorite of the people, which is why he will be one of the final candidates.
There’s a time in U.S. history where time calls for a new national leader. As our time is drawing closer, the heated debate over a new presidential leader is here. As Democrats and Republicans and all the other parties that no one ever really hears about, vie for the presidential position, Ted Cruz enters the race. As he represents Texas and hopefully the Unites States, I believe he is the best candidate to bring this country back to its respected and original roots that our founding fathers intended it to have.
It was a couple of sunny spring days in Washington DC. All of the cherry blossoms were glaring in the sun. When I traveled to Washington DC over last spring break it was a good time. I traveled to Virginia with my family, grandparents, and cousin. We stayed in one of our relative’s home in Virginia who was on vacation in Florida. We were amazed by all of the historic monuments across the whole city and along the Potomac River, as well as the history behind each monument and building. The most impactful spots in the city were the Lincoln Memorial with the waterway in the front, the Monuments representing historic people, and the Arlington National Cemetery.
