Qualities that Define a Hard Working Person What qualifies a person to be categorized as a "hard worker". He/She would have to be willing to do the work, and not only do it, but do it right. Efficiency, things such as showing up on time, and getting the job done in a decent amount of time. A person would have the knowledge to be able to do their work. Just as the cell is basic for life, being efficient is the basic factor of all hard workers. This is extremely important, it ties in with the other factors of the hard worker. Bosses look for people who are efficient, people who get the job done the best and fastest way. Efficiency is not only better and faster but it is also cheaper. I worked for a gentleman that always told me "In today’s world it’s better, faster, and cheaper", and I can prove that true today in anything that is done, for example anything that used to be done by people on such as an assembly line was done with human labor, this has now changed to computerized robots. Because it is cheaper to have a robot that only requires a little bit of maintenance now and then compared to a person that has to have benefits, lunch breaks, and other such luxuries. Another factor of efficiency is tardiness. Tardiness is a big factor in the work place. No matter who a person works, for they will not keep their job if there is a problem getting to work on time. The one about your car not starting only works so many times before they say, "You’re Fired". Bottom line is don’t be late. If there is one morning where the car doesn’t start, the most important thing to do is call in and tell the employer what happened. In this case forget about the car. Fix it later, just find a ride to work. The second f... ... middle of paper ... ... before. The jobs that are on the list should be completed in order of importance. This will show both efficiency and a willingness to do the job. A day would consist of (1) coming into work on time, (2) make a checklist for the day consisting of the activities not done the day before, and the important activities that need to be completed that day, and (3) a positive attitude and willingness to complete the jobs you have assigned yourself that day. These points are just three of many that could be used to describe a hard worker, they are the three that I fell are the most important. With a good mix of knowledge, punctuality, and willingness to do a job well anyone can get a job. The idea to work hard is in everybody, it’s just finding a way to tap into that ability in yourself. Using these methods will help land a job and keep that job for a long time.
The motivation to be successful is very powerful. Some people will work twelve hours a day, seven days a week in order to feel successful. These people will work so
Since the dawn of time, humanity has improved technology in order to perform tasks more efficiently and effectively. However, particularly within the last few year, the development of technology has increased significantly. As technology continued to improve, many believe the time has come to replace humans with machines that can do the same job. According to a survey done by Delphi, 98% of industry respondents say they are automating to increase efficiency. (Source 11, 455)
Organizations face massive challenges in attracting and retaining a high-quality and productive workforce. Companies are continually looking for new ways to keep their employees satisfied at all levels in order to harness greater productivity and ideas from people while keeping them motivated and happy. One real challenge examined earlier is the need to transform General Motors to be a much more productive and fully utilized organization by examining the hourly workforce. This is a great change from the traditional "us versus them" mentality of the past between management and the union.
...vely, Teamwork, Self-Directed Learning. I always have the curiosity feeling for knowing and learning new things, Moreover I am open to new ideas, I believe ideas from all of the grope members. Second is conscientiousness I like keep everything under control and organized, systematic, and punctual. Third Self-efficacy that I belief that I can perform a specific task successfully for example an individual project. There are many reasons can make the hiring manager interested in me, as I mentioned above I have many strengths Knowledge-Based Skills, Transferable Skills, and Personal Traits Skills, my achievements through my studies and my aims and challenges that am willing to accept, most importantly that am not intending to apply for a job just because it is available I would apply for jobs that am 100 percent sure that I love and I will be creative working in it.
Another characteristic of bureaucratic organization that compromises efficiency is the division of specialized labor. When all the tasks are specialized and everyone is trained to do one specific thing, there is no allowance for free riding. If one person, or many people for that matter, decides to slack off (which is simply human nature), what then happens?
...rk ethic, like showing up for work on time, working hard even when tired. If you get a job you usually have a lot of flexibility on time compared to other jobs.
The Hardworking people have several superb characteristics. These types of people usually goes to work on time or maybe even five or ten minutes early to see what needs to be accomplished. I feel that I am a very hard worker. At my job I have now I am given a to-do list every day I come in and I more than likely finish the list and still have time to do other tasks. I don’t dilly dally around and waist time. I don’t like to stand still when I’m at work. I like to get there get everything done and then leave. Being a hard worker makes me also very dependable. My boss and other people can give me a task they can depend on me to get it done and taken care of and not have to worry about following back and making sure I did it right. In high school I was a life guard, this job required me to take a first aid and CPR certification class and recertified every two years after that. This is a very useful skill when it comes to the exercise
To begin, I honestly believe it is necessary to be dedicated to your job. It is necessary to be one hundred percent dedicated to whatever you are doing if you wish to get substantial results. If you look at statistics, you will realize that it took years of blood and sweat, otherwise known as dedication, to get something fulfilling. Jesse Owens once aptly stated, “We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort.” I honestly believe that if you wish to be successful in your occupation you must be willing to put in the effort. You will not be satisfied with your work if you do not do whatever you can to get it done. To sum up, you must ...
• Have the insight to realize that no matter what the job not just anyone can do it well.
... also convey a strong confidence in my ability to perform my job at a high level. Self-motivation is one of the traits that I put at the very top of any list of positive attributes.
Hard work is more important than either one’s career or their social status for several reasons. One of the most vital reasons as to why hard work should be ranked above someone 's career or social status is due to the fact that with hard work, both can be depleted or taken away. A career is a job that most people have to work tirelessly to achieve. Without hard work, a true career can never be achieved. Due to this, hard work is clearly more
I do complete the tasks on given time and never give my boss a chance of complaint. Secondly, I am very trustworthy, loyal, and honest person. My friends and relatives value me for these characteristic traits because they know that I always act honorably and what to expect from me. I had always stood back and supported my friends and family during their good and bad times. Lastly, I am a very good listener. I always listen to others very carefully and attentively in a calm manner. In my culture, being a good listener reflects that a person shows respect to others and value their importance in their life. This also decreases the chances of misunderstanding in communication and also prevent conflicts from arising. So, all the above traits of mine will help me greatly in my profession of supporting and helping the people with
Different companies and departments of those companies have very different approaches to motivate their workers to being the best they can. For example, I worked for three years at a food Store called Wegmans when I was younger. I worked as a cashier which was interesting to say the least. Managers were always trying to motivate the cashiers to go that much faster, be that much friendlier, and to be more efficient at every opportunity. They took many different approaches to find what would motivate each cashier, which was a difficult task considering how young each cashier was, the large number of us their were, and how different each employee was from the other.
The fact is employee productivity can make or break a firm, and a firm staffed with underperforming employees will inevitably fail regardless of the amount invested into business development. Many firms that do recognize the importance of employee productivity often invest in improving the corporate culture, but overlook investing in the right tools that result in increased productivity.
