First and foremost, I want to thank you for giving students like me an opportunity to fulfill my goals. I admit that this has not been as easy journey to get where I am today; I am grateful to get where I am today, I am grateful to join the rollercoaster ride otherwise known as college. America has provided me tools, allowing me to work hard and choose the lifestyle I want. All of us have goals we want accomplished. Everyone have different ambitions that allows them to overcome adversity. I will introduce myself throughout my personal story, describing my aspirations and my future endeavors. My goal is to receive my Associates in Science, graduate from my Bachelors in Science, earn a doctoral degree, participate in giving back to the community, and inspire others. I want to put my degree into practical use and appreciate the qualities of my life. My life experiences have taught me …show more content…
I remember receiving constant remarks from my peers about being Japanese and Pearl Harbor. This broke my faith and I started to believe those lies. As I matured, I began to understand why my parents sent me to an extracurricular school at Myers Park in Charlotte. When I was younger, my parents were relentlessly pushing me to understand the Japanese culture and language. They wanted what was best for me by disciplining and emphasizing the Japanese culture on values such as honor and integrity. Eventually, as I got older and understood more, my mother explained that education in Japan was very difficult. In Japan, parents would have to pay the full price for your ticket to college. Furthermore, she taught me that I can receive more opportunities to go to college here in the United States. Therefore, I am blessed with an opportunity of receiving a higher education and should not take education for granted. Education allows us to learn something new every
As I reflect on my college life, I wonder about the choices I have made that have led me to where I am today and that will guide me into shaping who I long to become. The things I have had to sacrifice, the support and experiences I have had with family, friends, strangers and work colleagues. I don’t know what I will be doing three months or thirty years from now but I do know that I want to have new experiences. When I graduated from high school, I knew I didn’t want to be that person that moved back to the same town and stayed there for the rest of my life. I even contemplate leaving the United States in my adult life. Who really knows, maybe those cards are still in the deck. For now, I know my immediate goals include focusing on completing my college education the best I can, and moving away from my comfort zone, broadening my horizons and taken risks.
I have learned that everybody should accept other cultures and respect them. If we are aware of the history of Japanese Americans, everyone will be educated and there will be no chance of repeating the same history again.
I endeavor to obtain excellence in my academics; I wish to exemplify scholarship by constantly asking the whys and hows of things. I will not let a bad grade define who I am as a student or who I will become. I also want to take the most challenging classes available, not because it will look good on my college application, but because I genuinely love the concept of learning and discovering new things. Education doesn’t end after high school, so I plan to attend university, eager to attain the knowledge to better understand my world: and expand it.
I have decided to be the first person in my family to graduate college and join the Air Force through determination, patience, and honesty. To graduate college, I do my best and better in all my classes. When extra credit opportunities pop-up, I’ll seize them. I’ll find or create a study group and I’ll find the time to study when I’m not busy. When I know I can produce a better essay, I’ll rewrite another one. I’ll use writing tools like Grammarly, PaperChecker, and any others I find useful. From here on out, I’ll scrutinize every aspect of my life and identify what I can improve. I’ll teach myself to not procrastinate and take the initiative in situations. I’ll learn to socialize with people, and I’ll learn to better take care of myself. I will achieve all of this to be a Creator. It is who I yearn to be and who I will
College success has become a most desirable goal. However, many students struggle through college. In fact, according to the Website Ask.com, approximately 15 percent of college students receive a degree. Because I’m willing to earn a degree like many other successful students, I find that college is the stepping stone to my dream goals. I know that college is difficult, but I realize that attaining my dream of a college education will require me to understand the benefits of what I’m learning, to prepare for obstacles, to seek advice, and to create effective and reasonable strategies will help me achieve my goals.
“Never underestimate your own strength. You were born for a purpose and are blessed with the power to achieve it” (Leon Brown). I have this quote printed out and on the wall next to my door so I can see it every day as a reminder to myself. I believe that we all have a purpose on this earth and that everything we go through on the journey there has a reason whether to teach a lesson or set an example. We have places where we want to end up and goals we want to achieve. We set these goals and dreams to help us fulfill the purpose we see for ourselves. I believe my purpose is to help people in their times of need. To fulfill my purpose, I will need to use my personal, academic and career goals to create a pathway to get to where I want to be
I have accomplished a lot in a short period; however, my journey is not complete until I continue my education. Essentially, this degree will help foster my growth and career success. My passion and dedication will speak for itself. My hard work and determination will prevail and I am a fit more than the next applicant because I have the passion, experience, critical thinking and analytical skills needed to complete this program through successfully arguing my capstone in front of a board or committee. My goals are definitely aligned with this program and I hope my next read is an acceptance letter from the admissions council.
I’m a student at Tompkins Cortland Community College this is my first semester as a college student. I plan to go to college for four years and only be at TC3 for this one semester, then transfer to a four year school. College has grown around the world more than ever and more people are attending college more than ever. I have chosen to go to college because of the rewards after graduation. Yes it is another four years of school but by getting more education and an extended degree gives me more opportunities for better jobs and more money. The career I have chosen to study is business administration. I am hoping that it takes me to a great job managing a company or possibly being an accountant.
I am writing to bring you up to date on the progress that I have made on my educational goals, career goals, goals completed, goals in progress, fie year goals and action steps, ten year goals and actions steps, and potential obstacles to achieving goals. I am confident you will find the results of the report useful for evaluating the progress of my educational and career goals.

When I first enrolled here at State University, I never thought I would ever be in the position to graduate. Finishing college was a huge goal growing up but it was also my biggest fear. But after three and a half years of dedication I plan to get my degree in the fall. Getting this far in college was not easy, it took encouragement from family, dedication, and assistance from others to reach this position.
Being able to help others when they need it is such an inspiration to me. Once I started middle school, I knew I wanted to help people. Radiology is something that I’ve wanted to do since I was 16 years old. Also I want to be able to be successful in college. I want to be able to prove to my mother and everyone who had doubts about me that I can make it through this tough journey. For my academic goals, there is one main goal that I would really love to accomplish and that is to pass all of my classes and get better at my mathematic skills. Growing up I’ve always had trouble with my math, but I know with me working really hard I can overcome and learn a lot this semester with getting better. I’m also signing up for the adaptive services because of my disabilities. When I get older I really want to help future students that have disabilities to let them know just because you are different or because you learn different doesn’t mean you are a bad person and if you put your mind to it and really word hard you can do anything you want to do. I’m honestly really blessed to be able to experience the college
Research a life goal Although I have many goals in life, these two stick out to me the most. They stick out in every decision I make and they help me make good decisions. What I want most in life is to become a pharmacist and to create a family with someone I love. I want the family most importantly because I was raised in a very tight Greek family.
Many people tend to set goals. They can set goals for their personal life, academics, or even for their professional lives. You can literally set a goal for pretty much anything you can imagine. I believe that people should set goals, they help you stay focused and want to do better for the future. Goals change all of the time though, because of a lot of different reasons, maybe you found that one thing just really is not what you want to do with your life, so you find something else to do. To me that is just how life is, my goals will most likely change as I am getting older and trying to find what I want to do with the rest of my life.
Haven’t you ever wondered why Japanese students continually score higher in academics than the rest of the entire world? Education and schooling in Japan varies greatly than the schooling in America. Japanese students have a greater advantage over their American counterparts in such a way that they are gaining more of an education than the Americans. The Japanese students have to study diligently and work hard to gain a hope of getting a continued education. Japanese children have a greater opportunity to seize hold of their education than the American children.
