The publishing industries in Canada are running through tough time. The average Canadian purchased 2.8 printed books per month. In a digital world, now a day’s buyers prefer e-books over printed version because e-books are cheaper and instantly available than print book. Conversely, there are consumers who still preferring print book because it can be easily borrow and transfer, variety of books available on the same title and can be used for gift purpose also.
Only a few institutions in Canada offer graduate degrees in publishing but other graduates ,who wants to flourish their career in publishing industries ,may choose further study like mass journalism, creative writing, , marketing, business administration and graphic design etc. These courses help the student to become familiar with the principles of editing and the aspects related to traditional and computer-based publishing.

One can also choose his role according to his area of interest like novels, poetry, textbooks, non-fiction, news etc. Though there are many jobs related to this industries starting from editing, photography, sales & marketing, production etc. but the editing job is really challenging and attractive.
Most people become professional editors because they enjoy finding just the right word to convey a message, making sense of a complicated piece of information in a simpler way and manipulating in text until it flows flawlessly. They have a passion to make the thing mistake proof and logical.

As a Canadian citizen, one should try to promote these three key elements to citizenship, and furthermore encourage others to do the same. There are so many different kinds of journalists that deal with many different things. Anywhere from sportscasters to reporters are considered journalists. This job ranges from so many options to write about. People show off their writing skills everyday whether it is through a newspaper or a television screen. Journalism is a great profession to go into if you like to write because there are many types of writing opportunities; working conditions are easy and good, and extensive training is needed.
Some video editors become famous themselves by just uploading edited films on to websites for people to see. Most video editors get a degree in video editing to get a job on a movie set. A lot of video editors work with raw footage, not touched, and make them look better right before it gets broadcasted to the world. I bet these video editors have a lot of stress but I think I will be able to handle it. Most video editing is done on a computer. Most jobs related to this career is found on movie sets, television shows and even on YouTube.
