After carefully reviewing the Propak’s safety policy and assist program for its employees, I would definitely want to work for it. Since the complacency itself due to a lack of adherence to company requirements and OHS act is one the biggest safety concerns for the Propak, it provides practical safety training for both new employees and existing employees based on the certificate of recognition through the Partnership and Injury Reduction (PIR) group and the Alberta Construction Safety Association. Additionally, the company categorises clearly the duties of management and employees in regard to safety so that can
assist both be enforced the safety rules. Therefore, from my point of view, Propak helps employees stay secure and proactive from hazardous environments. Moreover, the components of policy for the workplace violence, harassment and the substance abuse include various features such as providing education, counselling, investigation in order to support to employees who are struggling with safety issue. Without a doubt, I believe that the company take the safety of its workers seriously, thus, I am willing to work for the company.

The company’s approach to motivate employees has been working in a positive way. The employees are satisfied with the family style community, and the productivity has increased as well. The school social worker and other school officials may have blamed the child’s behavior on his mental disorder (ODD), but the child was very aware of his actions and choices he made. By not having options that would have catered to a better choice for the child, he had to act out to get the choice he wanted. In another observation, a reward produced good behavior and work. a) What is your assessment of the effectiveness of the management team at Chattanooga Ice Cream? List specific examples needed to support your assessment. The drastic changes that were occurring at this division have everyone confused and uncertain of their future. They do not want to be involved in any decisions regarding the company, due to they never had before. This has affected their effectiveness for the whole as a team. EX: When asked to come up with solutions to the many problems, no one person has a solution, but only wants to blame the others. The lacking of empowerment over the division has depleted the team support. The management team is not working together as a whole. The retiring of Ben Wedemeyer has caused a lot of disruption among the team. They don’t understand why? The team is not used to being included in the everyday business, due to Charlie’s grandfather making all the decisions regarding business at the company. Consequently Charlie would benefit from the resources of his grandfather, which could result in handling the company’s problems more efficiently.
We claim that we have one of the best management team as compared to our competitors. We have people with excellent educations and experiences.

A safe work environment can boost employee morale, increase productivity and improve job satisfaction. For companies and organizations these benefits can lead to less turnover and increased employee retention. They can also reduce absenteeism while improving the culture and image of a company or organization. Most importantly, increased safety in the workplace can lead to fewer workplace injuries and causalities. Workplace health and safety issues are different today than there were at various points of time in Canadian history.
