Regulation compliance, employee safety, fire safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, hazardous waste removal, training procedures, and management relations are samples of features taken into consideration during a Safety Major’s day. Though there are numerous specializations safety professions can choose, a base knowledge in all fields is essential for a successful career. Therefore, I intend to pursue a continuation of safety certifications that will demonstrate a persistent ability to learn about my career. For the initial duration of my profession, I hope to obtain an Environmental Health and Safety specialist entry level position for an established organization. If the opportunity arises, I will promote within the same organization until …show more content…
I have gotten in-the-field and documentation experiences within environmental safety through internships. For my last internship, I would like to put all my practice together as an Environmental Health and Safety Intern for Crane Naval Base located in Crane, Indiana. Depending on whether I can get a position there and how compatible I am: I want to continue as an EHS specialist. As a specialist, I would prefer either ergonomics or industrial hygiene as I have enjoyed and excelled in those courses through college. While with Indiana State University, I was exposed to air sampling, hazardous waste removal processes, and asbestos control. The variety of work per day is what attracts me to environmental safety. Through the beginning of my career I will pursue the Certified Safety Specialist Certification. If Crane elects to pay for tuition, I will continue for a master’s degree in safety management either through Indiana State University or Indiana University. After a few years of safety specialization, I want to become an EHS manager within the Department of Defense which contains Crane Naval Base. I do not have a preference whether I stay with Crane Naval Base or get transferred. Due to government agencies having sufficient retirement plans, I would enjoy working under the Department of Defense until

When it comes to safety most people think they are safe, and they have a true understanding on how to work safe. Human nature prevents us from harming ourselves. Our instincts help protect us from harm. Yet everyday there are injuries and deaths across the world due to being unsafe. What causes people to work unsafe is one of the main challenges that face all Safety Managers across the world.

My ambition for studying a degree for dental hygiene propagated during my research about it. I am very much aware of the importance of the hygienist's role in maintaining the patient's health as I have already experienced it during work experience in a dental surgery. I enjoy helping patients and I am able to communicate with different types of people. I can handle difficult situations in a small period of time without hesitation. I read scientific journals and enjoy researching about science and learning about the human body to develop my knowledge. I am currently studying BTEC level 3 sciences at St Albans Academy. I also achieved a gold Duke Of Edinburgh award and demonstrated effective leadership skills during my expeditions and practises. I The role of a dental hygienist comes with a big responsibility

Working out how likely it is that a hazard will harm and how bad it could harm the staff and aware the risk activities before it happen.
From a young age, I was drawn to the healthcare field, not because the amount of money doctors, nurses and other health professionals made, but because of the dedication and contentment I saw on their faces helping someone in need. Growing up everyone wanted to become a doctor or a nurse and as a little child being a doctor or a nurse was a profession many parents wanted their child to pursue as a career. Needless to say, I fell into that category because I had high hopes that one day I will become a nurse. However, that dream came to a halt.
A safety adviser is responsible in planning and implementing safety measures in order to not only promote a safe working condition but to ensure the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of the employees and people surrounded are taken into consideration. In planning and constructing a major chemical plant involving handling hazardous materials or processes, a safety adviser is expected to be responsible in constructing a safety plan in each stage of project development and to introduce organisational safety structure to ensure maximum safety is assured during operation.
The term ‘occupational health and safety’ (often abbreviated to OHS), is used describe work practices that will keep employees safe. When I think of the perfect place, I imagine a cascading waterfall, a vast forest, a stunning mountainside, or a warm sunset on the beach. I look up around me, mesmerized by the vastness of the natural world and breathe in the fresh air. Over the course of my life, I have come to respect the environment and the earth’s natural surroundings in ways that most others do not in the industrialized and technological era of today. I can appreciate the beauty of the Earth and of all the different landscapes and organisms that surround me. The way in which I value and treasure the environment has evolved just as I have. I see the environment as something to be preserved and admired, not destroyed or exploited. My relationship with the environment is

It’s true what everyone talks about safety – you are the key to your safety, when you do it safely you do it the right way and the best gift you can give to your family is to always stay safe.
