I thank god I made it home.I was in no condition to drive and should have died. I was up for 23 hours with little to no sleep. I started hallucinating and couldn't focus. I should have never stayed out. I don't know how I even stayed up that long. It was worth it. This girl I go to church with asked me to go to prom with her and of course I said yes. That was the longest day of my life. I woke up at 7am to get a haircut. After that i had to get some stuff for my hair. Went to the bank and deposit my check and pick up the flowers. I mat up with my aunt after that to get my clothes for the after prom. I went home and immediately got ready cause I was running late. My family and I go to her house, and take pictures for an hour. We finally go to prom at the Hytt. We are 30 minutes early so we are hanging out. She is introducing me to her friend. When it's time to finally go in we sit down and wait for everyone else at are table to show up. We eat and I lose all my energy. It 7 pm so now I've been up for 12 hours. My date on the other hand has all energy. She want to dance and turn up. I on the other hand am about to pass out. …show more content…
She wakes me up when we are back at her house. I catch my second wind. Throw on my after prom clothes and head out. When we get there it was so chill free bowling tokens and food. We bowl for a little bit. Then we got a drawing of the both. It keeps getting later and later she is getting tired so she goes home. I start hanging with a girl I met a few months earlier named Taz. We hung out till around 5. I'm about to head out and she wanted to go with me. So I agreed to take her home. She lives in Offallon and I live in Belleville. I took her home and I start driving back to my house. Sings start moving my motor skill are horrible and I think to myself this must what it must be like to drive drunk or
In all honesty I wanted to go clear my mind, but I also wanted to stay home so I could cry and curl up in a corner. Hassan told me to go fix a bag and meet him down stairs I did as I was told even though I didn't have to. Once I got downstairs I saw Hassan talking to my parents. He was trying to convince them to let me go, and they agreed to let me go as long as I called. After they agreed to let me go listen told me that we were going to his house to see if his parents were cool with it. The one thing that he left out was that he wanted me to lie to his parents. I didn't want to, but I owed him after this whole trip thing. I had a long conversation with his parents and they decided to let him go. I'm not going to lie I wasn't thrilled but how bad could it be. In my mind everything that could go wrong was already being visioned which worried me more. Anyway before his parents could change their mind he grabbed my shirt and drug me across his house outside to the car. Later that evening we had been on the road and I had a flashback. I was in the third grade and I finally got this pretty girl named Katherine. I “loved" her and she felt the same in return, but like they say “All good things come to an end”. I was devastated my heart had a hole, but you get over it eventually I
After that we went over to our bench the bench we sat o was green and white these benches change color according to your team's color. There are 9 people on the field at once from each team 4 attack 4 defence and 3 middie we played U of M it wa fun we destroyed them 91 0 biggest game differential ever! The game is different but is still a lot the same like i told you we were dressed now and are allowed to hit people like in boys lacrosse we don't wear pads though just goggles are gloves are required now. No extending elbows or limbs still. I sent a girl to the hospital i broke her arm. I scored 15 goals and had an awesome time. The goal turns into a star after you score and a rainbow appears. After the game we signed papers and digraphs. After the game me and Emma were tired so we went back to the dorm, and ordered a pizza. The pizza man came and he wore this weird thing it was an apron but it had squirty bottles to clean it off. The pizza guy's truck was the one with the oven and cooler it looks awesome emma said that they have them everywhere. We ordered dr. pepper that came in a 4 liter it was cool we drank it all and then we went to bed watching a movie( it was a double throwback for back to the future). As i fell into a deep sleep i saw the monkey
I woke up Tuesday morning excited for the day I was going to spend with my mom. I was sitting at the kitchen table drinking fresh coffee listening to my mom and aunt tease and joke around about how paranoid my mom was about doing well in her classes, my aunt was telling her that maybe now that I was there, she would relax a little bit and have some fun. Our plan was to go to one of mom's classes with her, and then on a tour of UNC and then we were going to go to dinner and a movie.
As we continuously talked, the others continuously gave me dirty looks. When one of the damas yelled “Look it, now he’s trying to get at your cousin Marie”. They all laughed and made me and my partner feel uncomfortable. “The day of the fifteen is almost here and we still don't have all of the steps right” yells the choreographer. As we practiced that whole week for hours me and Jessica continued to talk, and the others continued to talk trash as if I weren’t there. The day of the fifteen came. After we finished the church, like most fifteens we went inside a limo. As we were in the limo Jessica sat next to me and we began to talk. As we continued to talk I felt the urge to put my arm around her (because we were squished) my urges became stronger and stronger until I finally did it; put my arm around her. To me that meant nothing a lot of friends put their arm around each other I thought, but the others thought otherwise. Time flew by while we were in the limo as if just a second ago we were in it and now the driver is dropping us off at the hall
When I was in elementary school, I loved to read. I was a total nerd back then ... okay maybe I still am, but one thing has changed. Now I don't so much like reading. My favorite poet was Shel Silverstein, who wrote "Where the Sidewalk Ends." He seemed like he was a total hippie, but that's cool because I like hippies. My grandma is a recovering hippie. I like her too. Anyway, Shel Silverstein wrote about the coolest things. He wrote about magical erasers, eating whales and a boy with long hair flying away from people who were taunting him. He captured all of the things that I loved without knowing that I actually loved them. Now you may ask, how does this hippie relate to our graduation? Well, he wrote a poem entitled "Traffic Light" and this is how it goes:
I had Ashley Gilmore as a date and I was super excited about that, I had a huge thing for Ashley and this was my opportunity to make something of it. The dance itself went pretty well but it was not until the after party things took off. Rachel Hughes threw a big party at her house after the dance. It was so funny because her parents were home the entire time. They knew guys were spending the night and they were fine with it they just did not think there would be alcohol. There was a lot of it. As Rachel’s parents were sleeping in their room we hauled in coolers full and beer and who knows whatelse. There were a ton of people in that small basement and that just added to the experience. Know to add some back story, I am sure that I remember how crazy Hunter Borger and Mckenzie Smith were all throughout high school. They were off and on and just when we thought they were finally done they would hook up, it was an absolute disaster. Well Hunter asked and went with Emily Etter to homecoming that year and it did not go over well with Mckenzie. Hunter had been back and forth between Mckenzie and Emily for years now, these two girls hated each other. We never knew why Hunter went for Emily, she never dated him, she would lead him on right to where Hunter thought he was in the clear and leave him. But at the same time we never knew why Mckenzie always took him back, he clearly liked Emily more but Mckenzie was
Monday, the beginning of the week, like usual I got up very early to go to school. In school I was very sleepy just like every Monday. I didn’t feel like doing anything of the work the teacher instructed us to do, just like most people in class. So there I was sitting, then I started to daydream, I daydreamed about the boy I liked and me going out on a date just watching a movie and spending the day together. It was then that I looked at the clock and realized that more than fifteen minutes had passed and the class was over.
It was a chilly night, when i turn around to check my clock , 3:10 am I sigh frustrated can't go back to sleep, finally I decided to stand up from my bed, put my shoes on and go to the kitchen. I open the refrigerator and grab the bottle of milk and some Oreos that mom bought me yesterday, when I'm done I clean everything and went back to my room. I try to sleep, but I can't, I'm so excited because tomorrow me and my friends are going to the Bahamas for Christmas break. I woke up at 6 am, our flight its at 10:54 am, I take a hot shower, I wash my dark hair, took me 20 minutes to get out the shower, I choose my favorite pair of jeans, my favorite red blouse and the white converse that I always use, I comb my hair, put some lipstick on.
It is probably a mistake that I am standing here giving a speech for graduation. In fact it is probably a mistake that I am even graduating from this school at all -- believe me, just as most people in this class I have tested the limits of attendance, of sleeplessness, and of procrastination. At the beginning of my high schooling, I was even testing dropping out ... and if that wasn't a mistake, I don't know what was. After four years of Starr altering our minds, it seemed most fitting for me to spend my four minutes talking about mistakes. Thank goodness for them, by the way -- it is only when we truly screw up big time that we are ever stopped in our tracks -- stopped, briefly, to learn lessons of worth.
When we got in the library it was freezing in there I got the chills and goosebumps that’s how cold it was, the older three got library cards and the younger three were playing on the computers they had there. I was being awkward and just read a book that wasn’t for interesting so I just searched for another book Heading Home and got it checked out from my sisters library card, for lunch we went to subway and then went back to the library and sat there for a few more hours and then left. When we got back to the apartment I was so grateful for the AC, but I had to get back in the heat because I walked with Macole to take Zeus out and I get how he can go outside with all that fur on him in like 90˚ weather like I would by sweating like someone would if they were standing by a volcano that just erupted. When we got in the house my sister told us to get our bathing suites on we were going swimming at Saylorville and when we got there we realized that we forgot sunscreen we were very smart when we realize it because we were already burned and the sunscreen was in the food cabinet like oh my
Welcome fellow graduates and honored guests to the sixtieth anniversary of commencement for Stoll Community College. For those graduating, this day marks the culmination of a period of courage, commitment, and accomplishment. For these reasons, I am greatly honored to be chosen as student speaker for this outstanding class of graduates and I hope that my words will give a measure of justice to the significant event that has brought all of you here tonight. Hopefully, we will laugh a little, perhaps cry, and give some much-deserved praise.
We are to leave here today with a new set of wings. Wings of which we have crafted through our years of attending school. Some will soar high with their strong wings built of good personality and hard work; others will glide through life needing repairs. If we leave here today with one thing, let it be the power to achieve the goals that we’ve set forth for ourselves. Most of us have been helped through our four years at Big Falls, whether it be Bridgette Moore with advice on life, Mr. Bridgett checking if you’re on track to graduate, Mr. Young always letting your flaws stand out, Mr. Nrure pushing you to not make any bad decisions and especially Mr. Floss who taught me that a woman can go beyond the stereotypes and learn how to weld.
So I have to make breakfast and get Wyatt to school and the girls to daycare and myself to school. I get to school and I have Wyatt's homework and Wyatt has mine so we meet up on a bus and we exchange homework. I finally get back to school and I didn't realize I had a test today and I failed it. I finally get all the kids and get to walking home. I realize Leah has pooped on herself and Emma puked so we go to the bathroom and we go in the girls room because I gotta change the girls. I get the girls changed and pretty, and ready to go. Wyatt wanted things from the store ,but I didn't think he needed more so we left. We get home the house is clean the girls are asleep and the little boy is asleep too so I go ahead and lock the doors and relax. I get to go back home and I realize my sister trashed our room, left dishes everywhere ,and clothes all over the bed. So I fold the clothes and get the dishes out of the room and put the toys up. I get to working in the dishes when my mom wakes up and she helps me. I decide that we needed to get the laundry. So I transfer them to the dryer and
Allow me to introduce myself I go by the name of CJ. I’m your average teen with an average life but with a crazy story. It all started one scorching hot morning in late August. I met up with a girl named Mary Doe, who was very special because she was my girl. I first met her in elementary school on the playground and we started off hating each other but throughout elementary and middle school we always had the same classes together until we got to high school where it dawned on me I really loved her and it sucked not being able to see her as often again. I musterd up some confidence and asked her out Freshman year and we have been a unit up until even now in our last year of high school we were so close, at least until we are by ourselves. We argue and fight two male bucks, constantly bumping heads. This girl was also one interesting girl. She had long golden hair that shined as brighter than the sun at high noon. She had long thin legs, crystal blue eyes, and caramel colored skin. She’s everything that I do and don’t want in life so she is like my contradiction but unfortunately I love her.
It was just another day of my life. The fourth ring of my alarm woke me up. As usual, I was not feeling to go in school. I slept a couple of more minutes. After while, the shine of the sun coming from the window woke me up.I slowly stretched my arms and slid out of bed. I brushed my teeth and took the shower. Downstair,my mother was calling me for breakfast.I was still undecided what should wear for school. After browsing for while I found something to wear, and finished getting myself ready for school. When I checked the clock, I was running late as usual, which was not a surprised. I quickly ate my half sandwich and left the rest of the sandwich on the table.I took my car key, jump in my black Lexus and made my way to school.During my way to school, I got a call from my friend John. John is my best friend since when we were in middle school. He told me that his car was broke down and he needed to ride to school. Fortunately, my friend house on my school way. I told my friend. I am on my way to pick you up from your house. As I got there, john come out from his house and jumped in my car. With sound of Drake singing and music blasting, it was a
