My goals are to be successful and respected not only by my peers but even acquaintances and to finally have something that when the time is right I will actually be able to retire from and not have to be like so many in my family and work right up until I’m broken and can’t go on any longer. Introduction For the past eleven years I have been working in the web designing and development field, specifically for colleges and universities. Beginning at Peirce College, while pursuing my undergraduate degree in information technology, and working as a work-study student on the college’s website, I was able to acquire experience and web development and design techniques that are used in a higher educational setting. After graduation from Peirce, I was employed as the web manager and eventually assistant director of web communications at Philadelphia University, where I continued to learn techniques specific for universities, such as how to design site that appeal to prospective students, how to manage different faculty, staff, and departments online needs, and how to build successful online promotional campaigns and initiatives. Now at Saint Joseph’s University, I am currently putting a lot of previously gain experience to work, learning more about being at a larger institution, but attainment more knowledge of business, and becoming more rounded, by working in the executive MBA program. With the experience I have from being at three different education institutions, that vary in size, popularity, and process from a web development standpoint, along with the business education I acquire from being in the EMBA program, I want to put them both to use building a web consulting firm that caters to the web development needs of educational institutions.

After growing up and moving out of the house things didn't go exactly as I had hoped. I wasn't able to afford the proper training and education so I had to pick something else, or so I thought.

There is always that one person or thing that creates a confusion in your mind. That person could speak wise words to you, but leave you to figure them out at a later time or maybe that one thing a coach made you do that you couldn’t seem to understand. My professional career goal is to develop and explore innovative research that targets increased energy efficiency and sustainability through improved catalytic materials. While I have no doubt that I want to pursue a research career in this field, I have often viewed the question of why as quite daunting. However, I have come to realize that my primary motivators can be distinctly defined: the prospect of doing something that no person has achieved, an appreciation for the frequently challenging efforts that a successful research project necessitates, and the potential to have meaningful and widespread impact through societal outreach.
