Teachers, police officers, and firemen commit way more than pro athletes and entertainers. Do you think entertaining fans is more important than educating students? Professional athletes and entertainers get too much money, which should go towards schools and the military.
Teachers have the job of educating young students and teach them important things they will need for the rest of their lives. Teaching is one of the most economically important jobs because our future relies on the education. Education makes a very big impact in our lives. These people who prepare us for the future and teach us new things everyday only make an average of $54,740 a year. That amount is so little compared to what pro athletes and entertainers make.
Firemen,
In my opinion, paying those student athletes in the highest revenue earning sports will encourage them to do better in the classroom. There is an uncertain future for college athletes, very few reach the professional level, and these student-athletes are sacrificing their time and bodies to reach this goal. Underclassmen are keen on making the leap to become professional athletes because the graduation rates of college athletes are not very encouraging. With no extra money for these student-athletes, they may also turn to fast (usually illegal) ways to earn money, such as selling drugs. So paying student-athletes might be a way to keep these athletes eligible and safe.
Teachers and theorists have played a huge role through out history. There are those that have dedicated their lives to learning and investing in tools and strategies to help children succeed and grow with their development. There are those that have created schools, programs and set standards for teachers that are even used in todays school systems. This gives teachers the opportunity to adapt to any personality and give that child the best care and education they deserve. With that being said, there is a lot of weight that can be on a teachers shoulders but people may often overlook these very important people. The pay may not be the best in this particular field, but that is not the reason they do what they do. This specific group loves children and love what they do. The reward for them is seeing that child succeed no matter how young or small they may be. These amazing folks are sometimes even labeled heroes for the impact they can really do in a young persons life. They are changing peoples lives with the investment they make everyday. With teachers investing in children's lives in the beginning with programs like Head Start and Pre-Kindergarten, America will have and has seen brilliant and successful people.
On Sundays in the fall people all over the world are watching pro football. But do they know how it came to be or how the rules have gotten to be the way they are today? Most people don’t, so I am going to tell you all about it.
You could think that… but this is not true whatsoever, because if they are working on their sport for 7 hours a day and 43 hours a month. So how in the world can they not miss a big chunk of class time? Exactly it doesn't make sense to say that these students get a lot of work done or they are in class a majority of the time. Aside from this, you may be thinking that the NCAA spends most of that 11 billion dollars on good things. But the only thing about that is how can they spend 11 billion dollars and not give a single penny to any college athlete who put themselves on the line to make them that money. Even though the NCAA needs maybe a small portion of that money all of these college athletes should get rewarded with some type of payment that has more than just emotion. Some sources might say that these student athletes can control whether or not they go bankrupt after college sports. This could be true, but how are they supposed to do that with no education and money to start an afterlife. Exactly it does not make sense for them not to get some money to start a career afterward or even just to have at least some money in their hands. You can think what you want about these hard working devoted athletes but you should be for sure that they should get paid for what they do. There is no argument anymore these athletes must be paid no matter
Controversy strikes as talks of payment to college athletes are on the rise. Recent cases have brought about whether or not the country’s beloved student-athletes should be paid to play. The answer to that question is no, reason being that these “athletes” are students before anything, including a celebrity. College athletes, especially those who play football or basketball, are being compensated more than fairly enough through their scholarships as is. It’s public perceptions that the NCAA and/or the university these students attend are blatantly neglecting them. No, there is simply more to it. Most schools barely come by enough money to pay student-athletes, whether it be basketball, football, baseball, or even tennis and golf.
Football players all around the country taking a knee is the most important social issue in our time because it is making havoc with higher authority and fans. President Trump should not be worrying about NFL players but instead, be worrying about more important problems. Lately, this problem has been causing fans to become hostile. They are starting to fight in the crowd or trying to hurt others including players. Anthem kneeling has also caught the attention of the president.
In a society where kids must go to school up to the collegiate level, teaching is an impactful career choice. Teachers help contour the minds of future leaders of the world. Furthermore, teachers play a crucial role in guiding students to the knowledge, skills, and abilities they need to succeed in life, and teachers lead students to make informed decisions on any topic the meet in the future. As a teacher, a person must relinquish their knowledge onto students. Finally, they must prepare their students for all the obstacles they will face later in life.
Why do baseball players, who play sports that were invented for fun, earn a 1,000 times more than teachers who work to teach and guide our youth to be successful citizens? Jobs like school teacher, police officer, doctor, firefighter, and construction worker - all who perform duties that we can’t live without - are paid considerably less than professional athletes, nationally acclaimed entertainers, and actors. Teachers hold a major role in the educational system and without them most people would not be able to function properly in life. Why is it that teachers are paid less than professional athletes? Educators deserve a more comparable salary than they receive because they are beneficial to life, make people successful, and help people grow.
There is no more critical role in our current society than that of a teacher’s. Teachers help shape the minds of the future. Tomorrow 's engineers, scientists, politicians, and educators are all greatly influenced by today 's Instructors. Without teachers society would not be anywhere near where it is now, and only a select few would have access to learning. Sadly however important teachers are in human civilization, they are still drastically understated, unrecognized and under paid. Although some people may argue that performance pay is good, performance/merit pay is bad because it will result in teachers doing much less personalizing of the curriculum, and spending that time doing only what things need to teach in order to keep their student’s
When choosing one's profession, there are always two important questions to ask yourself. Is it what you love doing, and is the pay going to be enough to support you? For me, the second question has never had much of an impact on my decision, along with most others who are educators or wish to become one. Teaching is not a job that one chooses to be rewarded for by the pay. It is a job that is chosen for the rewarding feeling of knowing that it is the most effective, and most enjoyable way one can change the world; therefore, if teachers are noble enough to sacrifice such a huge aspect just to better our future generations, then don’t you think they should be paid what they deserve?
The industry bought into focus throughout will be the sports industry as it is the aspiration of the writer’s career choice after graduating from university.
First of all, a teacher works for 10 months in a year, and has off when the kids have off. During the off time teachers have time to further their education or upgrade their new teaching license (Elementary School Teachers). The days off are not just the only benefit that a teacher has. The starting salary is about $53,950. Through extracurricular activities teachers can earn earn a bigger salary. According to Ferguson 's Career Guidance Center in an article titled Elementary School Teachers,“Teachers often supplement their earnings through teaching summer classes, coaching sports, sponsoring a club” (Elementary School Teachers). Having a high salary is a major benefit when going into a career field. If a person starts off with a high salary it is a positive thing because they start off with a good income and over the years raises will be even
People go to college to major in education knowing that they won 't get the greatest salary, but they pursue this field because they want to love going to their job everyday and working with children. Martin Luther King, Jr., was an activist on many things, mostly civil rights, but he also made a big impact in education. For example, he said, "The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically - intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education." Many teachers are very passionate about their job. In this career field, it 's very important to help children grow as an individual and learn life lessons. Although teachers don 't make a lot of money, they believe their job is more important than
I believe that teaching is the most important job known to humanity. In fact, I do not believe it is a job, but rather, a debt payment to society. Education is important because it not only opens doors to a better life, but it also insures one a happier life. It develops in us a perspective of looking at life. It makes us capable of interpreting rightly the things perceived. Without education, we as a whole, would be further behind in the world and would not have as much technology as we do now. Education also equips us with all that is needed to make our dreams come true. It is because of education that we have the comfortable living style that we have today. For those who are troubled, education acts as an outlet to success. It is education that builds in every individual a confidence to make decisions, to face life, and to accept successes and failures. It instills a sense of pride about the knowledge one has and prepares him/her for life.
I believe that teaching is one of the most important careers that one can have, granted that there are many more jobs that come to mind that have more importance, but they all started with education. Without education society is left with nothing. Although, teaching isn’t just about giving the students the information, it is about building critical thinking, communication, showing their creative side and having them to embrace the information in order to achieve higher standards. I think that education is truly the foundation.
