I am resident of village Keti Mir Mohammad Ghumro of Taluka Kingri in district Khairpur, presently living in Karachi with my immediate family. Back in village lives my 84 year old father with widows of his two late sons, grand children and three sons - two of them are married. I work here in Karachi with one of the largest private sector power generation company of the country at a responsible position. My children are studying in Karachi at university, college and school levels.
Brief Background of Village
Our village Keti Mir Mohammad Ghumro is situated around 8 kms north of Pir Jo Goth in Kutcha area on the left bank of river Indus and is inhabited predominantly by us Ghumros for centuries. Our prime source of earning is through agriculture. The village has although a small population, it is scattered over an area roughly 3 sq kms. The village is unique in that it has over 100 year old primary school which has been catering for not only the villagers but students from villages local to us. We as head family of the village have ever since encouraged education of the village children as opposed to the cliché that village heads rather discourage village children from education. We have had in the past doctors, engineers, professors, lawyers and geniuses in other professional fields because of this primary school that continues to build a solid basis of students for higher education todate. Our village and the Ghumros are known for their love for peace and law-abiding nature. Never in the history of this village has there been any crime and never have there been people in the Ghumro family siding or patronizing the crime. The village today is passing through the worst of its time in the history and we are looking me...

SOS
We as very less privileged in contrast with the powerful Syed Rashid Shah have no recourse but to knock the doors of justice but even this we are constrained to keep away from as we know this would bring us more wrath. Therefore, considering it the only solution, I chose to write to your Honour appealing to kindly respond to our SOS and come to our rescue as soon as possible otherwise Syed Rashid Shah Rashdi in connivance with the local Police would have all our people arrested thereby creating opportunity for him to grab our land and finally force us out of our village where we live from centuries.

In conclusion, after achieving my goals in life, I will live a nice peaceful life, where I don’t have to do a manual labor like my father. My family is all settled here in the United States. What my father planned out for me is definitely working for me. In the future, I will achieve my goals, become a gentleman, and settle down with a significant other. I followed my parent’s traditions throughout my eleven years here in America. They have given me the honor of allowing me to find whomever I wish to marry and not follow their ritual of arranged marriage. I would prefer marrying an educated Pakistani American who is able to move along with me in this new fluid world. Also, my final conclusion of a good life would be to have my children repeat the same process that I went through. If they achieve my goals and more, then my life is complete.
...use education as the vehicle through which people are empowered to improve their quality of life. We need to show the farmers and the society examples of the potential of their children and that this potential is being wasted when they are forced to work and are unable to go to school. Society also has to be sensitized to report cases of child labor exploitation and furthermore we need to make sure that children know their rights, in order to know when these rights are violated.
Nelson Mandela once said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. It is the very same “legacy of change” that Nelson Mandela used that inspires what Malala Yousafzai does today. At the age of 15, Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head by the Taliban for advocating for girls’ education. Since this appalling incident, Malala has gone on to be the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize, start the “Malala Fund”, that funds education in developing countries, and is currently the figure of women’s rights. Malala has been constantly speaking, advocating and helping women and children acquire the rights they deserve. In her powerful speech to the U.N, she opened the world’s eyes to the truth about education
Long-term health care consists of personal medical, and social services rendered to elders with chronic indispositions. These types of services are carried out through several different means, such as nursing homes, home health care, and respite care. The focus on long-term care is to provide an environment assisting with treatments plans, personal up keep and rehabilitation. As the largest part of our growing population reaches retirement age, several new questions and issues have arose. Financially, long term health has is an ever growing concern of the elder population and those who have accepted the financial burden. A large portion of the economy struggles with the cost of the ever rising prices of health care. The economy has been hindered with financial difficulty and it has had several implications on the ways we spend our money. For some of the baby boomers, it has left them with no choice but to continue to work in order to provide. For others, it has left them no option but to live with family members or seek assistants elsewhere. Income has evolved into a stressor for elders planning retirement.
Education is the source of all power allowing people to achieve any dream they choose. A person without a true education is nothing more than an empty shell living an empty and pointless life. The process of education begins at conception and the human mind continues to learn until the time of their death but most lessons are learned in the first five years of life. When the topic of education is discussed it isn’t how much is needed but how best to provide the education. The need for high quality education is typically agreed upon; how best to provide that education is not as easily as settled. The line in the sand has been drawn with neither side willing to back down and possible casualties are the children.
problem of the country and start working on students in their education since they start
Education is a form of learning that is necessary for the development of one’s personality, identity, physical and intellectual capabilities. Education also provides to the growth of a person through the enhancement of social and professional integration. Education can improve a person’s quality of life. Underprivileged adults and children have a chance to escape poverty. “It is a tool for the economic, social and cultural development of all population around the world. Education is a human right and should be accessible to everyone without discrimination. All children should be awarded the same opportunities to be able to build a future for themselves. Therefore they must and should be able to go to school. Each child have the right to benefit from a quality education that fits their needs.”(Humanium 2016).
Today is our first day of being the leaders, doers, and problem solvers of the future. Those who persevere, who give it their all and approach each day with optimism will ultimately meet success and happiness. Of course, there will be many a failure on that windy road of life, but with dedication, we can do anything and make any dream come true. But, as we grow older and encounter success, we must not forget those who have had it rough, whose lives may have hit some potholes on the way, and we must take care of those who need a helping hand. As each of us leaves our mark on the world, be generous and be happy, and always remember the good times, good friends, and lessons learned at Marefat.
Many families in India simply cannot afford to feed their kids. Children are forced to work to help their families pay for everyday essentials, including food. These children don’t have the opportunity to receive a basic education that would enable them to become successful adults. As a result, another generation of uneducated persons is created, and the vicious cycle continues.
In the contemporary society, education is a foundational human right. It is essentially an enabling right that creates various avenues for the exercise of other basic human rights. Once it is guaranteed, it facilitates the fulfillment of other freedoms and rights more particularly attached to children. Equally, lack of education provision endangers all fundamental rights associate with the welfare of human beings. Consequently, the role of education and in particular girl child education as a promoter of nation states welfare cannot be overemphasized. As various scholars asserts, the challenges and problems faced by the African girl child, to enjoy her right to education are multifaceted. Such difficulties include sexual abuse, child labor, discrimination, early pregnancies, violence and poverty, culture and religious practices (Julia 219). Across the developing world, millions of young girls lack proper access to basic education. In the contemporary society, this crisis, which is particularly critical in remote and poor region of sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia have fascinated increased public attention. However, almost all global nation states have assured their commitment in addressing various girl child challenges and allowed a declaration to enable each young girl and boy receive education by the year 2015 (Herz and Sperling 17). This target was firmly established and approved in the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. However, this study will focus on girls’ education in Africa and its impacts to their livelihood.
Social institutions are an important element in the structure of human societies. They provide a structure for behavior in a particular part of social life. The five major social institutions in large societies are family, education, religion, politics, and economics. While each institution does deal with a different aspect of life, they are interrelated and intersect often in the course of daily life. For example, for schools to be able to exist they rely on funding from the government. This is an intersection between politics and education. Social institutions affect individual lives through other aspects of society such as culture, socialization, social stratification, and deviance. This paper will focus on the social institution of education, and how it affects individual lives through socialization, deviance, and social stratification.
A dusty, one-room schoolhouse on the edge of a village. An overworked teacher trying to manage a room full of boisterous children. Students sharing schoolbooks that are in perpetual short supply, crammed in rows of battered desks. Children worn out after long treks to school, stomachs rumbling with hunger. Others who vanish for weeks on end, helping their parents with the year-end harvest. Still others who never come back, lacking the money to pay for school uniforms and school supplies. Such is the daily dilemma faced by many young people in the developing world as they seek to obtain that most precious of all commodities, an education.
In India there are still many villages which fall into the clutches of illiteracy in a worse manner than the others. The moneylenders, the zamindars, the contractors manipulate them into believing facts that further deteriorates their position. They are devoid of their basic rights, of the privileges that they are offered by the constitution of India as a measure to bring equality. Illiteracy has not only pangs of economic descent but also it is a major lapse in the overall growth of not only a person but the society as a whole. Illiteracy widens the gap between the rich and the poor. It limits the mentality of a person into thinking that the world is just a surreal blur and is confined to the four walls of their humble abode or the boundaries of their state. They live and die in darkness, building a home on the catacomb of their dreams. The effect of illiteracy is so deep rooted that people deny accepting that it is a curse on their lives. They continue to believe in the myths and fancies which is their further fall. Illiteracy not only attacks the self esteem of a person but he is forced to earn a meager income. He is
The province of Pakistan which I belong to, i.e., KPK, has very few quality education institutions. After my matriculation from Talash valley, a remote area of KPK, I had a dream to get admission at Islamia College Peshawar which is a prestigious educational institution. During exam a mishap shattered my academic dreams. Somebody threw a paper plane from outside exam hall that carried the script, "This is just for entertainment." Superintendent got exasperated and coerced all students to stop writing. I got 81% marks in matric and missed my target of securing admission in Islamia College by 1%. This incident proved to be a blessing in disguise and a turning point for my later achievements. Through my persistent hard-work and incessant motivation from my teachers, I got many prestigious awards. I got a gold medal and presidential award for securing top position in Malakand Board. Merit scholarships for Bachelor's and Master's were conferred on me which relieved financial burden from my parents. I provided guidance to many of my passionate junior students who were heart-broken by their earlier failures. I have a very firm belief that synergistic efforts on macro- and micro-level will boost education in
