The idea of pinterest is similar to a bulletin board – an everyday object that being use to stick a piece of paper such as images, posters or even a note. In other words, according to Pinterest’s CEO Ben Silbermann, he call this website as a "a catalog that’s hand-picked” for users rather than as a social network, that inspires users to "go out and do that thing." By accessing pinterest.com, people can create their boards under specific category as “Things to buy”, “How to cook…”, “Interior Inspiration” or “Magazine Layout”…etc, and then they can “pin” (bookmark) or “like” any images from other users or even any images on other websites. About their goal, on one of the articles of pinterest blog, they said: “We believe everyone’s Pinterest boards are a window into all the things that inspire them every day. We wanted to make Pinterest profiles as beautiful and informative about your interests as possible”. With that orientation in mind, Pinterest inventors know what they want is a minimalist design website with two basic colors red and white and it needs to be clear, eye pleasing and easy to use. It’s visible that there is almost no different between the old and new version in terms of layout, colours and especially legendary grid system. However, there are such useless spaces of both side of “Invite” function block and menu bar. This issue has perfectly been addressed in the new version, non-sense spaces are no longer exist.
