My mission statement is to help human beings of all ages and sizes to become healthy and fit. I believe that a healthy body results in a less stressful life, which in turn can not only improve a person’s physical, but the mental, emotional, and spiritual approach to life.
What motivates my vision of a person’s happiness, has a lot to do with how much confidence a person can obtain, and maintain. I believe that a person with a healthy and physical body will most likely be more confident and more courageous. In turn making them that much better of a friend, co-worker, boss, father, Etc. So, my motivation doesn't come from only physical attributes I help people with, but more so the uplifting of a person’s spirit when they see their results and take a more confident approach to life.

However, the prices of personal training are very high and for a lot of people it is tough to afford that but with my services, I have created affordable packages and deals for all, which will help attract clients. PERSONAL GOALS As an individual, I have come up with some short-term and long-term goals that I want to achieve after I get my Exercise Science degree (expected Spring 2018). Some of the short-term goals are to get my national certification from either American Council on Exercise (ACE), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), or National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) by 2018. A long-term goal that I have set for myself is after I get my associates degree I want to continue my education to get my bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. The schools I have in mind for my continuation of education are SUNY Cortland and Brooklyn College, I would love to anyone of those because they have excellent programs and I would want to graduate with my bachelors by 2020. It is important for me to set deadlines because I get more aware of the dates and I push myself harder to make sure I meet those deadlines and it is very crucial for me to have a plan and execute it. Furthermore, the goal of my education is to attend Hunter College and pursue their graduate program in Physical Therapy, which I intended to be done with my 2022/2023.
Pursuing a career in Physical Therapy has always been a dream for me and is something I’m very humble about to accomplish. The journey may be a long trip but I will never give up on my goals. Another long-term goal of myself is that I want to avoid as much debt possible because I know graduate schools are very expensive but by me saving up money from my employment I want to be able to pay some with the money I saved up. In the future, I want to open my own fitness brand, not anytime soon but in the future and it will be based on fitness and motivating people. I have not really started to make plans for that yet but in the future, I will start to build up a strategic plan that will help my build my successful fitness clothing

During the interview, the Physical Therapist I conferred with was very thorough and straightforward in his responses to the questions that were given. I decided to interview another one of my mother’s fellow co-workers, Mr. Stephen Chan, considering his new experiences in the Physical Therapy field. I met with Mr. Stephen Chan at the Kaiser Permanente Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic that is located in Union City. The essential subject matters that we discussed consisted of his Major and Minor in college, the Residency Program that he takes part in, variations of attitudes, and advantages in the workforce.
With the help of my family and employers, I resign from my job and enrolled into the University of Houston-Clear Lake. They motivated me into taking the first step into my professional career in where I achieved my bachelor’s degree in Fitness & Human Performance. It was there that I was given the opportunity to do my internship at Proactive Physical Therapy (PPT) and see hands on what to expect in a PT setting. There are many areas to specialize in and I look forward to learning which one is right for me. At the moment I am interested in pediatric acute care but I am also interested in sports and orthopedics. As I continue my studies, I look forward to learning about the different fields in which physical therapy will take me. My future views may change which physical therapy field I wish to pursue, but right now I look forward to learning as much as I can about physical therapy and helping others.
My journey to pursue an education in physical therapy actually originates from my early childhood. I endured a very impoverished upbringing and my family’s socioeconomic status was below the poverty line. At a very young age, money became the central issue of my life. I found myself worrying about mortgages, health bills, and grocery money. As I grew older, I vowed to myself that I would not endure my family’s financial burdens into my adulthood. I knew the best way to accomplish this was by obtaining a college degree and having a professional career. However, I was unsure what career I wanted to pursue. I experimented with many different career ideas, but during my sophomore, I discovered my passion and skill for physical medicine. For my
Throughout my life, I have always loved physical fitness and athletics. I have always had a love and passion for health and fitness. Since I now have researched all of the important facts about what it takes to become a physical therapist, the pro’s and con’s, information about current trends like the new health care laws, and learned about where the field is at today, I can now make a more informed decision about this career choice. At this time in my life I’m not prepared to take on the requirements that are needed to get into the DPT program. I am still interested in the field and since I can get a bachelors degree in any field to start the requirements for the program I may still consider this occupation as a career choice and pursue this more in the future. I do enjoy helping people and working hands and have always been interested in the health care field so this will be a great option that I’m now more informed about. 13
