According to my knowledge the word "philosophy" is the study and understanding of knowledge in relevance to studying the wisdom of the universe. The word "education" is the act of developed knowledge. When put together the phrase, "philosophy of education," has extremely deep meaning within the context of knowledge. Therefore, before I can accurately state my position on the issue, I must examine my past, present and future experiences with knowledge.
My view on education and my experience with knowledge was very sheltered until I came to Ball State University. My education was developed through private schooling from kindergarten to my senior year in high school. Throughout those eighteen years I was trained for the moment I am currently situated in today, known as college. Those preparatory schools opened my eyes to not only the act of reproducing presented material, but also the process of analysis and free thought. To my surprise from the school observations I performed this year in my education courses, I found that all school systems are not the same in structure or in curriculum. There are many ways to educate, express or unveil knowledge to the student. These processes all depend on one basic thing, which is what I am going to produce today. This belief is named the "philosophy of education." The student’s education greatly depends on the school and teacher’s practiced philosophies. A philosophy appears to be the one true belief that is constant in the classroom no matter what curriculum is presented to the student. An individuals philosophy is the belief a person lives by and expresses to their peers in society through their actions and spoken or written word.

In 1988 engineers at the Airbus headquarters in Toulouse started work on a highly ambitious project, the possibility of a commercial UHCA (ultra-high-capacity aircraft). By 1993 Boeing and Deutsche Aerospace, a member of the Airbus consortium, surprisingly declared they were joining forces on a VLCT (very large commercial transport) feasibility study, with the aim to create a product in a shared partnership that would lead in the limited market [7]. Nevertheless two years later this study was abandoned due to viability from increasing development costs. This lead to Airbus announcing in June 1994 that they were to develop their own long-range UHCA, named the A3XX. This development project was the start of what became the A380, the worlds’ first superjumbo jet. [6]
An employer also should restrict an employee’s access to the internet or access to certain web sites, or prohibit the use of personal work computers. As a result, there is no right to claim privacy against your employer for monitoring or restricting your use of the internet. Having an internal regulation could avoid the personal use of a computer in the workplace, the employers are the owners of the computers, and they are also the owners of the data transmitted to and from the computers, regardless of the source. Another reason that justifies the employer's ability to control the use of the computer in the workplace is the security of their internal systems. Computer systems can be vulnerable to viruses and other types of technological problems if employees are downloading information and Internet programs, or other potentially harmful materials. Security can also be a problem in that employees can violate the company's confidentiality rules. Personally, being an educator gives me a chance to have a great impact on the world. I have always enjoyed seeing the look on someone’s face when they make a new connection or learn something. I have many strong beliefs in the education process and many times feel that the needs of the student are overlooked. As a teacher, the students would be priority and that is the backbone of my teaching philosophy. I know that I am not very experienced and have much to learn. This I will strive to do throughout my education and even when I enter the teacher workforce.

The aim of this questionnaire is to explore cinema audience's opinions of films and experiences of film festivals. There was a time in which film festivals 'presented a seductive return to classical cinephilia with their promise of a unique, unrepeatable experience frequently offering a rare opportunity to view films on the big screen before they disappear into the ether or only reappear in DVD' (Czach, 2010, p. 141). But what have they become lately? After the technological development that we have witnessed over the years, are film festival still necessary? Why do we have to go to Venice or Cannes to see a film when, thanks to devices such as Sky on demand or Apple TV, we can have our own festival in our living room every night?. These are some of the questions I will ask to cinemagoers.
Sometime last year, a software package came available that allows employers to monitor their workers’ Internet usage. It contains a database of about 45,000 web sites that are categorized as productive, neutral, and rates operators based on their browsing. It identifies the most frequent users and the most popular sites, and it’s called Little Brother. Legally, little or all employees have little recourse; the most relevant Federal law, is the 1986 Electronic Communications privacy act which prohibits unauthorized interception of various Electronic Communications, including email. This act exempts service providers from its provisions, which is commonly interpreted to include employers who provide e-mail and Internet access. The EPIC in Washington, DC would have required employers at least to notify workers that they were being monitored, but it failed to come to a vote from 1993 to 1995. To most employers, they have a need to protect their business or organizations from such negligent abuse. Monitoring an employee by via computer is one of the latest innovations in electronic monitoring, which is done by purchasing and installing software in the companies computer system. Once the software is installed, it will be able to do a variety of types of electronic monitoring from keystroke counting and accuracy, time how long it takes to make a transaction, and how long the computer has been on idle. This type of electronic monitoring that involves advanced technology and “the constant monitoring to measure employees’ performance creates an enormous amount of pressure and stress…the stress that is created by monitoring has caused serious physical effects'; (Ternipsede 447) on employees in the work place. Many employees have been effected from such setting in the workplace, but they are unaware of the effects since they take many years to develop fully. Another type of electronic monitoring that can damage an employee’s health is video surveillance.
Many of us use the internet on a daily basis and the expectation of using the internet is that our research and information is private. The reasons why we have expectations of privacy are due to the rules, laws and regulations set forth in the past by cases involving the use of the internet. The case of Smyth v. Pillsbury Co., 914 F.Supp 97 is a prime example of internet use at work and the privacy expectations. The Communications Decency Act of 1996 criminalizes sending or displaying offensive messages on the internet less than 18 years of age. The Economic Espionage Act criminalizes the theft of confidential business information.
My Philosophy Statement Education is a very important aspect of our lives. It is our education that makes us who we are and determines what we become. Therefore, education is not something to be taken lightly. As a teacher, my goal is to provide the best possible education for my students. Every student is unique and unique.
When analyzing contemporary issues in education, it is very important to ask why and how the issues arise. Some of these problems are obvious to the mass public, and some require a more in-depth analysis. One of the less obvious issues in education is the current philosophy in the classrooms. One may ask the questions, “Why is the philosophy of education important? And, why does it matter to me?” To put it simply, the philosophy imbedded in the goals of education and teaching methods in a classroom affects the students’ futures. This topic was chosen because the philosophy in schools is often overlooked as the absolute core of educational issues. Many students understandably struggle with sitting in a classroom, uninterested. In addition to the constant stress and pressure of having good grades, students often ask why the given curriculum must be learned.
My beliefs about teaching and learning is that it should be done with heart, soul, mind and strength. Teaching and learning has to be a passion, as well as, having the will to make sure students are being provided with the best education they possibly can earn. My beliefs range among the students. I believe education should provide all students with the freedom that encourages their natural growth. I also believe that students learn best when they believe they can learn, in different ways and at different rates, when the classroom and school enviroment supports them, when learning is authentic, when they feel respected and develope a positive relationship with their teacher, and when teachers provide explicit feedback designed to reduce the gap between student 's current and future higher level of understanding. My beliefs about knowledge is that all knowledge should be observed and respected no matter what student it may be. My beliefs about knowledge is based upon to theories: progressivism and essentialism theory.
