If you’re anything like me or any other high school student you know that stress season is coming. It’s a joyous time where students unite to form study groups and enjoy the last two weeks of the semester before they go off into the boring period of “winter break.” Of course, no winter break is complete without the wonderful problem filled stapled stacks of papers handed to you as you walk out the door the last day. When you get handed that packet you know that those long winter break days that seem to last forever be no more thanks to all your teachers. May the rest of your day be filled with bliss and delight. Now this stress season isn’t simply the last day of school it’s so much more than that. It all started on November 9th oh yes the marvelous first day of the last grading …show more content…
cycle for the semester. A cycle to spread cheer among your peers. Now here are some tips so you can have an astounding stress-filled season. 1. Procrastination is your best friend Procrastination is key not only will you wait until 11 pm to work on a major grade assignment but you will have that magnificent “I no longer know what sleep means” glow. 2.
Be a perfectionist just because you procrastinated to do homework assignments doesn’t mean you have to do sloppy work. After all it’s a MAJOR grade.
3. Forget about making plans You remember all those great people you call “friends” well forget about them. For the next couple of weeks, you’ll be sitting in your room pulling hair straight out of your head while trying to juggle homework and notes and essays and finals and missing assignments and current assignments and all the spectacular gifts high school life will bring you.
4. Spend these stress filled special last weeks with your least favorite people this is essential at this point of the year it is most likely a big possibility that you don’t really like most of your classmates, but you don’t always have to get along with everyone. In a couple of years you’ll think back at all the dirty looks you have given to every single classmate and want to go back in time.
5. Attendance These are crucial moments you don’t want to miss any. When you miss even the first couple of minutes of class you will be years behind everyone else. You might be too sick to go to school, but your attendance is the most crucial of all the
steps. 6. Refuse less than an A - by setting high expectations you are setting yourself up to shatter your dreams harder than they should. Not only does this make you feel extremely foolish but you will also feel the need to keep your scores clandestine. Now these assignments may seem pointless and you may feel as if you’ll never be able to finish. Let’s face the truth you won’t finish them all. You won’t be able to get ALL the extra credit. Some of the finals you won’t even be ready to take. Some of these finals don’t come in the form of a test but a GROUP PROJECT. Your grade in the hands of the people in your group. Now don’t worry group projects are the easiest kind of final to have. Not only are you allowed to use your peers but you will most likely be stuck doing 99.9% of the work given. If you follow these 6 simple steps your last six weeks will surely be filled with loads of stress for you to enjoy.
Connor Fletcher Mrs. Misselhorn 6th Hour Language Arts 29 March 2017 Why kids should get Summer break Why do we need summer break? One reason is kids need a break to recover from the academic and social pressure. Another reason is It is a tradition a time to create lasting memories.
What is the one thing that every kid would hate? Year round schooling. How could year round schooling be beneficial anyway? Year round schooling is disruptive for both teachers, and students. If kids are constantly taking a three week break, then they forget a substantial amount of things they learned before the break. Also, it causes scheduling problems, for example, if a teen wanted a summer job, then they might find that available job times for them are hard to find. Although year round schooling can act as a refresher for many kids, and keep them engaged, schools should not have year round schedules.
During summer break students learn very import thing for their life. In this easy I am telling you three reasons why students should have summer break. The first reason students should have summer break is for summer enrichments, second reason is for scheduling, and the third reason is for teacher planning time.
Can I ask you a question? Do you enjoy recess and lunch? Well, I do. The reason why I'm asking you this is because some school has very small amount of time for recess and lunch, and school may not have recess nor lunch. That's why I want to make our recess and lunch longer. Also people can be more healthy. If you don't why it's healthy to play let me explain why it is.
Summer break should be longer because students can work more, spend time with family members, and students can rest their minds. If summer break were was longer, then students could work more and as long as they wanted to work. Students could get more money when working while on summer break. Students would like working on summer break to get money because they could buy more stuff with their money. Cause the students would have more money from working on their hole summer break.
Swishhh…. thats the sound of recess. Recess is the most important part of school. Every school needs recess. Its helps kids focus more after recess.Gets kids exercise, inceases social skills and lastly the teachers get a break.
Traveling with small children, especially ones that cry at night or still nap can be tricky. One of the longest nights of my life was spent in a hotel room with my kids. The baby cried, like she always did, but I couldn 't "let" her cry, she was disturbing everyone else. The air conditioning was loud and the air was bone dry. Not to mention that fact that my two year old went to sleep at 8, so what did the rest of us do while she was sleeping? My husband took my 5 year old to the lobby to read and I sat and watched TV, very softly. I avoid hotels like the plague when vacationing with kids. They just don 't make good sense. Instead I plan in advance and do a little research to find a great condo or rental home in the area. One great site that
To begin with, homework is the most important thing in high school since students tend to fall behind with it. It’s very important to not procrastinate as it could become a habit. Most
In Germany in a small town called Neuenburg am Rhein, my exchange partner Jonas and I were heading to school. Today was his class test for German, 4 hours long he would sit and stare at his old german test wondering if life was worth it, but before and in between they had a twenty minute break to do whatever. Most kids played soccer or ping pong but he sat there with his head down resting. We went home at 12:30 that day to find the temperature around 30 degrees celsius. So instead of studying for his test tomorrow, we took a break and went to the swimming pool for a couple hours. It was such a relief for me since I had been sitting in German class all morning barely understanding anything. I felt revived and craving food after our 3 hour break
There are thousands of things I love, but vacation is on the number one list. Many times over the years I have taken vacation time; It was only a while back, when I realized how amaz-ing, and the great value it gives the sole and body. There have been times when I felt not wanting to leave my work, whether it’s financial problems or among other things. Other times I thought my work was at a decisive juncture and it wouldn 't get accomplished without me. All profession-als or employees know that the money does not just make itself unless they are there to make sure everything is going according to their policy. I know I am not alone in making excuses not to take a vacation. When I asked a couple of my co-workers, they also agreed on not even taking a week off for the entire year, some even included holidays.
For most of the delinquent students got caught from their slightly misbehaving act for the first few times is not really a problem. What they don’t know about is that there is a program that can literarily handle even the most delinquent student must also bow down in surrender. The program is called “Weekend School”, also known for many students as “Hellish Torture School.” It was considered the most terrible and awful program and most students were afraid of. Because they believe that if they get into the weekend school, they have only one percent chance of survive. This programs it only available to most of the South East Asia countries middle school and high school. The purpose is to deal with delinquent students who get caught for their
Summer vacation is legendary. An integral part of American culture, it is loved by students and loathed by parents. Its influence stretches as far as the economy and media of the country. Nevertheless, such a famed part of American educational customs is unnecessary and even detrimental to students. Its institution hinders learning and it can have a damaging effect on the families and students involved.
As the new semester begins in college, a fair number of students get frustrated and face a stressful situation by new school environment. Many high school seniors are not ready for college and have neither knowledge nor understanding of college life. There are even some students who quit their studies due to stress from college. Stress is a factor that we all face in our lives, but too much stress is not good for your health. Many people can struggle with managing their time. Choosing to go to a party on the night before your final exam can be an example of not setting priorities. Finding the time to do your task, whether it’s school related or not is important. If you don’t have a balance in your day to day life you can be faced with procrastination. For instance, being involved in too many after school activities can take a toll in academic success. You can find yourself fighting with time, trying to get those last hours back. The thought of getting an assignment done will be left the night before it’s due because you think it’ll get done. Then you’ll realize you needed more time for the assignment or you see that you have no time to finish it. Poor time management can lead to
