Student should have lockers
Student should have lockers because they need to put their binder in their lockers and don`t have to carry their binder around the school. You can have something to personalise and make completely unique.they Can keep your things from getting stoles. After they go to launch they have to put their binder in their lockers and they don`t have to carry their binder . Every morning they came to school they need to put the backpack in their lockers everyday. I use my lockers after all my periods to drop off and exchange book. There is no way I could lug around all my books for the whole day in my backpack. I also
“The biggest drawback to a school locker search is the lack of trust students may feel as a result of actions they see as an invasion of privacy,” is what Dennis Hartman had to say on the matter. For instance, if a student had harmful things in their locker, it’d be easier to find and confiscate them. This would prevent a potentially dangerous situation, and the student would face proper consequences. Whilst I agree that locker searches could definitely potentially keep schools safer, I still believe that there are better ways to enforce safety than going through a student’s possessions, which could be mentally damaging.
The school locker is usually the only private space available to a student in the environment of the school. So it focuses many of the main issues involved in privacy of the students. The 4th Amendment of the US Constitution states “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the person or things to be seized.”
First, allowing students to carry backpacks throughout the school day would save everyone time. Since backpacks have multiple compartments, they allow students to carry learning materials like textbooks, calculators, binders, and writing utensils. Students can use backpacks to transport laptops inside dedicated sleeves. As a result, students would waste less time at their lockers searching through debris for assignments and missing homework. Teachers, too, will welcome backpacks when they no longer have to squander valuable minutes writing locker passes. Less locker stops will reduce hallway congestion, expediting travel between classes. Without wasting the teacher’s precious minutes, students can get a drink of water, go to the bathroom, or take care of personal hygiene needs. . Even custodians will appreciate the practicality of backpacks when they are no longer interrupted from their busy jobs to unjam a muddled locker because of cumbersome coats and binders.
Parking on Campus is a Pain New students entering Concordia College are not permitted to have a car on campus. With each new freshman class entering every year, parking represents an issue. Concordia is as of now constrained in its parking on campus and since first year students are not permitted to have cars, the students are confronted with the problem of having no place to park or parking very a long way from their goal. There are parking issues everywhere throughout the campus, making backups in residence hall and other lots, bringing about students parking illegally to avoid from walking far distances, which can be very aggravating in the bitter cold. Parking nearer appears like the reasonable thing to do, however it is a hazard, which
Many people think that solitary confinement is torture and inhumane, but is it necessary? Solitary confinement is a form of punishment, to help guards keep prisoners in line and under control. Prisoners are kept in a small cell without a window for several days depending on their behavior. They are isolated by themselves for the majority of the day, and have no interaction with other people. Solitary confinement, also known as the shoe, has been around for several . It has been banned in other countries around the world, and many people are trying to do the same here in the United States. Some will argue that solitary confinement causes more problems than what it helps. It is not needed in the majority of cases and causes problems,
Improving smoking boxes on campus can improve overall environment on campus. Every day in our daily campus lives, we can easily see people smoking outdoors. Smokers would just go anywhere they want to smoke even when it says it is forbidden to smoke or there are no trash cans. Smokers argue that it is their rights to smoke wherever they want but for non-smokers smoking outdoors can be a source of stress. Not few non-smokers hate the smell of smoke. Some even complain that cigarette smoke give them headache. Our university built two smoking boxes on campus for smokers but they do not use them, arguing that they smell bad and that they are not well maintained. If we were to improve the current status of smoking
Since we were in kindergarten, we were taught to follow rules, form single file lines, and always told what to do. This “order” continues for the rest of your life if you decide to follow the education system. Why was school created? Everything school teaches has shaped our world for decades. School has influenced students to be on time and let them believe that a letter grade determines whether they are smart or stupid. Also, it teaches students how to memorize and not actually learn material. What is the purpose of school? Is it to make us smarter? Many students ask themselves this question right before a big test that will determine whether he/she receives a title in a specific subject. School is said to be place of greatness. However, it slowly teacher students how to be prepared to work in factory and office jobs. The next tardy goes from punishment to termination, the teacher turns
This is such a huge problem as you may know. These days it is becoming way to easy for people to get their hands on guns. With people who are not in their right minds getting their hands on guns they are costing the lives of children. Gun control is becoming a huge issue. We need to find a way to help.
Education is a huge topic of controversy, society is always trying to reform what we know as education today. Right now, the first 12 years of education are entirely free for students directly, but in the end are paid for by the taxpayers of the town. The question is, why should only grades k-12 be free why not a college education too? On the other hand, there are some exceptions to free schooling at the k-12 levels. The most prominent being, Private schooling, most towns in the United States have at least one if not many private schools. They require a certain amount in tuition for each of its students every year. An example of this, in my town Salem, NH one of the most known private catholic schools is St. Joseph 's. I had a good friend a few years back
Choosing what to wear for the day. This is what most students are thinking about when they wake up. Students need the latest fashion in order to fit in, but some clothing may not be acceptable to wear in school. School dress codes are denying students their right to dress how they want, but the dress code is important for the students and their learning. Students are beginning to stand up and want to be heard. Some students are taking action and want the dress code to become less strict but some schools are doing the opposite for safety issues and for the students healthy learning environment. Dress codes are important for a strong and healthy learning environment and is also reducing violence in many schools around the country.
Violence in schools is a huge problem. It is estimated that in the U.S. about 50 million students are enrolled ranging from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade (Ten Hard Facts about School Violence). School is meant to be a safe haven for children to come and have the opportunity to learn. Violence can inhibit this learning and can even leave children scarred from their experience. School violence includes victimization, teacher injury, bullying, school fights, weapons, and student use of drugs and alcohol. The area is not limited to the campus and also includes walking to or from school or a school event (About School Violence).
Education is meant to be the key to a successful life. It is supposed to inspire great ideas, and prepare each and every generation for their future. However, school for today 's generation fails to meet those requirements. Every student knows education is important, but when school is not engaging or in some cases, even relevant, it makes learning difficult. Improving the school system is something educators attempt to accomplish every year. Despite their best efforts, there are numerous flaws students see, but adults overlook. There is a lack of diversity for students to learn, an overabundance of testing, and students’ voices are being ignored on how to create a more productive learning experience.
A student’s high school career should be about discovering new knowledge and discovering who you are, not about what you wore. One rule that I would change at Ralston is the dress code policy. The dress code policy limits a student's right to express themselves, be comfortable in what they wear and ultimately put a higher value some students over others.
Should school uniforms be required? Some say that uniforms help students focus on academics instead of fashion. Others believe that students should have the freedom to choose what they wear to school in order to express their differences and their uniqueness. After considering both sides of the issue, I strongly believe that uniforms should be introduced in primary public and private schools. Wearing school uniforms does not promote unfair comparisons between student’s incomes in terms of clothing; they aid students in developing their inner qualities instead of focusing on the outer aspects of themselves in the crucial earlier years of their lives, and provides a platform for practicing discipline.
Have you ever considered why students should wear a school uniform? For a long time, scholars have debated worldwide, whether students should wear a school uniform or not. After a lot of research, I can evidently see that people still have diverse opinions about this subject as some people think school uniform is essential, some are just fine with its existence, and some think it is useless.
