According to CAA Canada, over the last decade, 69% of drivers, 23% of passengers, and 8% of pedestrians involved in a car accident have had their lives taken away due to the lack of awareness of their surroundings. A paralyzing experience that doesn't only leave a scar in your memory, but also in the hearts and minds of victims. It is an ongoing issue whose tragic consequences can be avoidable with the power and commitment of the community. Our society needs a wakeup call in order to eradicate deviant road safety habits. Today, technology is inevitable in our daily lives, so instead of making it our main cause of collisions, we can make it our solution. By introducing more cars with easily detecting censors and a disabling app that prevents interference with concentration, we can create more mindful drivers. The censors would make the car come to a complete stop when too close to another object, generating rapid reflexes. The app would be systematically connected to your car, which would deactivate calls and the usage of apps. If you are playing hide and seek in the dark, you don't expect someone to see you, or find you. The same applies when you cross the road at night. It's dark and street lights are distant from each other. You can't always expect drivers to see you, putting aside whether they're under the influence of alcohol, or if they're on their phone and not looking at the road. To solve this issue of lack of visibility, our community can install solar powered L.E.D lights on curbs of sidewalks, on street lines and on the areas where pedestrians walk. It wouldn't cost a lot to hold up because they would be solar paneled, and you wouldn't have to dig deep in the ground to install it. They would be on the surface, guiding and protecting us from
