I noticed that you connected with me on LinkedIn, so I wanted to use this as an opportunity to pitch an idea to you. Already, I appreciate the time you’re putting into reading this! I’m a working class entrepreneur that is fresh out of college, I am passionate about what I do, and I genuinely believe I can change the way you do business for the better. My current client, Robert Rosenfeld, hired me to build him a client web portal for his property tax appeal firm that connects clients with information regarding their appeals, as well as allowing document sharing between employees and client and providing them with an opportunity to sign up for his services or renew retainers. For the next iteration of his portal, I will add the ability to process
The growth of online business has grown enormously over the years. Cliptomania is a family operated and owned small e-business that primarily sells clip on earrings (Brown, DeHayes, Hoffer, Martin, & Perkins, 2012, p. 308). Cliptomania early developments were very modest, and as such the company experienced copious strategic dilemmas. An initial strategic dilemma that the company encountered when establishing and building their new e-business undertaking was to create a website for the business operations and essentially to have it fully operable. The owners, Jim and Candy elected to hire a vendor to host the website and additionally utilize the IT systems resources of the vendor to sustain their business. At the very beginning they exploited the offerings of the Yahoo Store. However, continuing down this avenue of using the services of the Yahoo Store inevitably became too costly. By using the services and business offerings of a vendor made it convenient and effortless for Jim and Candy to start their e-business store. Unfortunately the couple did not have much in the way of professional help, and so they had to create and put together the website by themselves. Additionally they also had to deal with establishing their online credibility as many customers preferred to call in their orders just to talk with a real person before being comfortable enough to place their orders via the webpage.

My love for business is not something I was born with. It took over a decade of experience and exploration to discover my passion. This discovery began ten years ago when I accepted a position at The Pitney Bowes Corporation. My job was to make unsolicited phone calls to prospective businesses in order to sell our base model postage meter. All that was required was reading a script, word for word, to potential buyers. Yet, after a week of working at Pitney Bowes, I still didn't know important details about the meter, like what it looked like, and how it actually operated. My manager acted a bit surprised when I asked to see the meter, but she agreed, and I took a walk to an adjacent building where I saw first hand what I was selling. It looked completely different from what I had expected, but by viewing and touching it first hand, my ability to convey to people what I was offering improved dramatically. Once I viewed the device, I felt more confident to adlib on the sales pitch. In a couple of weeks reading my hybrid pitch led to a higher rate of sales. People were more apt to buy from someone who sounded like a person and less like a robot. My sales steadily improved and in my third month I was the number one sales person out of over 200 employees. Management implemented some of my changes in the selling process and as a result, overall sales of the entry model postage meter increased significantly.

I come from a line of hard workers. Everything in my family was earned through hard work and if you knew me personally you would see that the core of our beliefs lie in obtaining a strong education. When I was growing up, my parents had emigrated from Jamaica to America for better opportunities. Both my parents grew up impoverished and did not want their children to live like they had. Coming to America was not the easiest thing for them as they had debts up to their noses. Since my father did not go to college, he could not hold down a steady job and worked meager temp jobs that barely paid the bills. My mother then took it upon herself to go to school in her thirties and worked to support and raise her three children. My mother at thirty six years old graduated with her associates and has been a nurse for almost fifteen years.
1) Who have they worked with before? Most digital companies will have an up to date website (if they don't then it probably won't be worth contacting them) so do some research into what websites and projects they've done in the past. If their work looks good then contact them and ask how they implemented certain projects and what results they brought in for their clients.
I believe that hard work is the real treasure of a person because without hard work we cannot achieve our dreams and goals in life. No one can achieve success without doing hard work. It starts when we stop looking for alternatives or shortcuts towards success. We need to remember that there are no short cuts to success. Hard work, complimented with an intense desire to struggle and to achieve success is the only sure way of reaching success that you have always wanted. Hard work is one of the secret for us to be successful in life. Laziness and sluggishness makes one’s life a curse and only hard work can make your life a blessing. We cannot work hard if we don’t have goals. The meaning of goal according to Wikipedia is a desired result of a

Business has been a large part of my family, and has started to grow on me. My dad worked in sales for many years, and is now the President of a company in Staples. My mom started her own cleaning business, and now works for herself, as well as my uncle owns a golf course, and a pump and well business. My other uncle has his own handy man business, while one of my aunts operates a redimix and construction company . So I guess it could be said, business is kind of in by blood.
Many people dream of becoming entrepreneurs someday. But it made me realize that there other factors that needs to be taken into consideration. We need to ask ourselves are we ready to take the challenge to the outside world. Not everyone have the vision, innovation and creativity to become an entrepreneur. The individual must have a positive attitude and accept the responsibility, have discipline to meet their goals, and take action when the opportunity presents itself. Many prefer a job security and rely on a weekly paycheck, while entrepreneurs will take risks and doesn 't have that luxury to know the amount of their income.
It came as a shock to many when, within two weeks of my arrival at the University of Maryland, I completely pivoted away from a career in the biological sciences and transferred into the school of Public Policy. Although it was difficult to admit, I had always recognized that, unlike my siblings and parents, I had little desire to become a doctor or scientific researcher; rather, I aspired to utilize my creative abilities and empathetic nature to aid those suffering around me. I realized that the most successful way for me to enact this positive change was to combine public policy and business management in an joint academic pathway that would both teach me about influential work in the nonprofit sector and provide me with a concrete framework for initiating my own social entrepreneurial endeavors.
We learned a lot of things in this course, but I think the most important lesson I learned is that it’s not easy to be an entrepreneur. I was surprised to hear in the first class that 80% of startups fail, but after reading The Art of Start and E-myth Revisited I understood why this happens more often than one might expects. Some people start their own businesses for the wrong reason and some start with wrong mindset. I’ve always thought that if someone has a brilliant business idea and hardworking they will succeed and grow their business. However, now I know that there are many things to consider before starting any business. In fact, there are many strategies that an entrepreneur could follow to achieve success, such as know your customers, work “on” the business, and how
I am gratified to reflect on my Entrepreneurial Potential Self-Assessment. I have always enjoyed learning the concepts of running and managing a business. Personally, what I enjoy generally is implying these concepts in real life situations. Seeing the ‘real life’ effects are stimulating to me. I always saw myself running a stable/well- establish business; however, I never saw myself running my own business. For my part, I find that I do not have all the characteristics an entrepreneur should have. Therefore, the results are not surprising, but assuring of what my strengths and weaknesses are.
