“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. John F. Kennedy” I remember it like it was yesterday, getting my first basketball goal was like a dream come true. Little did I know, it would be my journey to acquiring a love for physical fitness. As I grew I began to see the health benefits of being physically fit and staying active. Learning more about the field of public health during my sophomore year of undergraduate is what sparked a desire for me to join my love for fitness and public health. Furthermore if an undereducated adult is given a chance to learn proficiently, they 'll benefit and society will equally advance. Lastly, if someone in the community is looking to exercise or participate in community health activities at an affordable price, having access will create community bonds and healthier living. As a result communities will have the opportunity to be fit, active, and involved. Though I’ve been faced with numerous challenges throughout college that have hindered my g.p.a reflection, it doesn’t undermine my professional, educational, or personal goals. I know that I’m capable of achieving anything I set my mind to as I have a strong will, desire, and mindset achieve my goals. I believe the public health program at JSU will help me to obtain my future goals through its focus on providing a high quality education and creating lifelong leaders that will go on to accomplish great things. I also believe the program will aid me in accomplishing my goals because of the broad range of education and research interests that faculty in the program have overall, but primarily in the Behavioral Health Promotion and Education
