Tool is an object designed to do a particular kind of work. Nevertheless, not everything that is work comes with a designated tool, or maybe it does. Maybe not all tools are as common as others are, for instance: for a nail, you would use a hammer, and for a screw, you would use a screwdriver. What if you are a student, its after hours, you forgot your syllabus, you have an assignment due, and your only means of communicating is via the internet. On the other hand, maybe you are at your work place and your boss informs you of a project he needs you to complete with your co-worker not only does she have a bad attitude, but she does not communicate efficiently. Nevertheless, upon successful completion you will receive that promotion you have been waiting for. Perhaps you are that person whom always manages to avoid conflict but this time its staring you write in the face and you do not have a clue on what to do. The rEsource, working in learning teams, and problem-based learning are tools that can fix these scenarios. These tools can benefit you throughout your college education, in the workplace, and throughout your life.

I was recently accepted into the Exploratory Studies college at NC State, and am beyond excited to hopefully continue my academic career at NC State University. Although I am currently undecided on my major, I've shown the most interest in math and science related subjects, and hope to pursue similar avenues of study at State through the Exploratory Studies program. I am interested in exploring different career paths that I may have not yet considered, and believe that this program will provide me with the resources necessary to truly discover what I want to do for the rest of my life. Although I currently do not have any specific career objectives, I am confident that I will leave NC State prepared to build a successful career, regardless of my eventual major. I am excited at how much NC State and the Exploratory Studies college has to offer, and hope to eventually graduate with the experience and knowledge to begin a professional career.
There are many “tools” that could be considered for a student who has trouble listening and understanding instructions. Sometimes, just an adjustment of where the child sits fixes the problem or eliminates the barrier. Other times, assistive technology is needed. Today, the options for assistive technology are endless. In Samanthas case there were many options of assistive technology I could provide her with to help her be successful in the classroom.
One of the things that I have learned is how to use different resources at college. One of the resources is the library. Since the library is closed right now I learned how to use the online library. I did not know how to use the library website at first, and know I know how to use it better. I use the website for almost all my classes. I use it for finding articles, and doing research. I think this resource will be the most helpful to me, because I can use the online resources to find articles, books, movies, and music. If I need to do research on a topic, I can always request a book and check it out from the library. The COL 101 class has also helped me with my future.
When you assert that “The Gentle Boy” by Nathaniel Hawthorne is a “heart-wrenching story that presents an eloquent, sympathetic portrait of Quakers as they confront Puritan persecution in Colonial New England,” you are summarizing the story in an inaccurate manner. Although it may be true that within the short story there exists a sectarian tension between the religions, Catharine, the Quaker, is not idealized as a victim and Dorothy, the Puritan, is not portrayed as a persecutor. In actuality, Catharine is a wild, overzealous, and unpredictable woman who neglects her responsibilities as a mother. Dorothy, whom you would typecast as a narrow-minded Puritan persecutor, is an ideal mother, a tender and kind human being who puts her instincts before what her religion may dictate. Hawthorne uses the distinction between Dorothy and Catharine to convey the true meaning of the story; extremism and excessive devotion to religion not only dilutes the mind but also warps natural core beliefs that a person should hold and adhere to. Hawthorne consistently critiques the importance that people place on religion and redefines the role it plays in our lives.
Sociology is a part of everyday life. People experience sociological changes when they get married, get a new job, or get discriminated against. All of these things can alter a person’s perspective on a group of people or even the world. Since the beginning of this class, I have personally endured several sociological changes in my life. I recently started a new job. I’m meeting new and wonderful people and I no longer dread having to go to work. I have also begun setting plans for my wedding to the one girl who I know will make everyday better than the one before. But, perhaps the one instance that has affected me the most and the deepest was when my parents got a divorce.
An immigrant from Mexico who lives on Mango Street appears to be timid and anxious about this new land and all the people in it. The title of the book, The House on Mango Street, includes vignettes written by Sandra Cisneros. The vignettes cover the story of Esperanza, the immigrant, in which the young girl offers insight on many of the events that occur around her neighborhood. Deducted from her actions, Esperanza is a person who is a bad role model. Because she is afraid, ashamed, and inconsistent that makes her a poor choice for a role model.

My conclusion will restate and overall recap of my worldview and my interviewee’s worldview.
In the short story "Through the tunnel", Doris Lessing describes the adventure of Jerry, a young English boy trying to swim through an underwater tunnel. Throughout the story, the author uses the third person omniscient point of view to describe the boy's surroundings and to show us both what he and the other characters are thinking and what is happening around them. By using this point of view, the author is able to describe the setting of the story, give a detailed description of the characters, and make the theme visible.
When I think about the person I want to become I think about a kind person who wants to make a difference in the world. I want to help and Inspire others and In general just make this world a more positive and loving place. The personal project was an opportunity to not only do something for myself but for others. By doing this I would be able to reach my goal of being the person I wish to become someday by helping others and spreading my positivity. I decided on feeding the homeless because with this I would be able to help others in need and hopefully inspire or make them happy. Feeding the homeless won 't necessarily change the world, but small acts of kindness like this might inspire other people to do them too and If everyone decided to
