Sitting, waiting, thinking about how after 60 years I'll be going back to the happiest place on earth. Its October 1, 2016, the 60th anniversary of the grand opening of Walt Disney World. I'm with my family waiting to board the plane to go to Orlando, Florida. My family as well as myself live in the state of Nevada. It's been years since I went to Florida, 60 years to be exact. I have been to Disneyland in California, but that's not the same. I was sixteen when I attended the first day Walt Disney world's grand opening in Orlando, Florida happened. I remember going with my parents along with my brothers and sisters. On this very trip to Orlando today it's my children and grandchildren. Boarding the Plane eager to get to Florida already I take …show more content…
For starters, instead of the long lasting line handing in tickets as we first walk in we have Magicbands. Its when we wear a bracelet and scan a post that allows us to walk in. I mean this is 2016 more electronics have been developed so I know they updated a lot since 1971. Getting on the Disney bus driving threw Orlando to get to Disney brought back many memories. Like the first time I came here with my family…I was sitting in the car looking out the window watching everything pass by with my family talking in the background. I can tell by their voice they were super excited, It feels really special that we are one of the first to witness and experience the first opening of Disney. My parents say it’s going to be filled with people from all around because this place is becoming so popular since its new. We are staying at one of the new hotels they build in Disney. It’s called The Contemporary Resort they said in the hotel it has a Top of the World restaurant & Gulf Coast Room restaurant. I heard they have many rooms that's going to be used. I remember being in the car driving for so long in a really long like it's never going to end. We sat in the car for hours and I was very uncomfortable. When we finally got ot the hotel it was crazy busy checking in was a hassle. They told us that there were 1046 rooms being used, thats alot of rooms with people staying in them and we are in one of
The sound of music, filling the air with happiness, resonates throughout the area. The scent of delicious buttery popcorn and glazed turkey legs that go on for miles and miles. The feeling of excitement coming into the place is felt in the atmosphere. It is the image of a once in a lifetime moment. When people come in, their imaginations become reality. The name describes itself perfectly. Walt Disney World is the place of dreams and imagination. People come from all around the world to see the rides, characters, food and the entertainment of Walt Disney World. I remember when I went to Disney World this past March. It was the third time I have gone to Disney World. To see the amazement and the expectation of the
Ever since I was a child, my family and I have been Disney fanatics. The Disney empire has created many amazing places, but my favorite location to visit is the Walt Disney World Resort. Every day 50,000 people from all over the world arrive at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida to experience the magic. When the park first opened its gates in 1971, 10,000 visitors made their way through. That number has multiplied five-fold and continues to multiply to this day. Since the 1971 opening, over 600 million people have experienced the magic of Disney. In my lifetime, I have visited the park with my family and friends six times. Each visit lasted four days in order to experience all the parks and their unique offerings. When I’m in Disney World, the experience each time is incredible.
While famous celebreties proclaiming “I'm going to Disney World!” is indeed just an add campaign paid for by Disney themselves, it easily brings to mind all the memories of famous theme parks you remember. Safe to say, Disney is not the only force to be reckoned with. Indeed, there are many theme parks today. Surely, most of my audience has heard of Busch Gardens in Virginia, or Knott's Berry Farm in Southern California. The Six Flags Theme Parks always have a jaw dropping number of rides. But very few hold something for both young and old vacationers. Fewer still actually have a resort within them. Even fewer have parades every night. Only one theme park holds all these, and is also several Theme Parks within itself. Disney World is just such a place. The park may close at night, but that doesn't mean you can't rent a Pirates Of The Carribean Hotel Room inside the Disney World Hotel and Resort for the night.
Disney world is a place designed for uncountable amounts of excitement and making memories. I had an unforgettable experience, because of the beauty of magic Kingdom, the Heart arousing of Bush gardens, and the almost unreal sites of universal. I will never forget the time I had on senior trip, and I hope visit again
The first time I was at Disney World was a long time ago. My family and I were really excited to go for a long time. The Disney World we went to was in Japan. The First we flew there we would up in the morning and go to some of the parks there. I was really young but I still remember everything to this day. We went to all of the parks and most of the shows that would play. We stayed in Disney world for a little over a week. It was our last day so we went to our favorite park animal kingdom. We had a ton of fun but it was about time to get packed up and go on the plane. The plane ride would take around 14 hours long. We were on the plane finally and it was really stormy. There was also a lot of turbulence. The turbulence seemed
According to a Themed Entertainment Association global attractions attendance report, 53,727,000 people visited the Walt Disney World and 27,238,000 people visited the Disneyland American theme parks respectively. Collectively, these United States Disney-owned resort parks make up the first, second, sixth, seventh and eighth most visited theme parks in the world under the same report (Robinett, John). Therefore, with such a large popularity and attendance of these two resorts, families visiting may wonder, which one is an overall better option to visit for their family? To understand the reason for the comparison, it would first be beneficial to learn about the general similarities and differences between the two parks. Both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts are owned and operated by the Walt Disney Company through it’s parks and resorts division.
So have you ever been to Disney World? Most of you probably have been there. I didn’t go to Disney World until November of last year with my family. I wasn’t sure what it would be like, but it was incredible. It was a lot of fun, and it was a great experience because I was with my family.
Walt Disney World’s first theme park, Magic Kingdom, opened up in 1971 to be extremely successful. Families enjoyed visited Disney World because it was a clean, safe environment that changed the Orlando area forever, bringing in more tourists than ever before. “The park hit capacity and was forced to close its gates for the day only a month after opening, on the day after Thanksgiving in 1971, and building could not happen fast enough to keep up with the ever increasing demand,” (“DISNEY TIMELINE”). Disney World needed new ideas to keep the guests happy and visiting again. The building of a new theme p...
Only at Walt Disney World is it possible to time travel, explore the cultures of countries around the world, visit lands of fantasy and adventure, and meet classic Disney characters. Walt Disney World offers slower paced rides for the little ones that are not yet tall enough for the main rides, thrilling rollercoasters for more adventurous folk, as well as rides that tell a story to the riders, and they offer handicap‒accessible rides for people of all different abilities. Personally, my favorite ride is Space Mountain. It is fast, thrilling, and being in the dark adds to the exhilaration! More importantly, the most magical part of Walt Disney World is the chance to meet classic Disney characters. Guests can meet Mickey Mouse and all of his friends, as well as visit the princesses in their castles. Every time I visit Walt Disney World, I wait in line to meet my absolute favorite Disney princess‒ Ariel. I first met her as just a little girl, but I still get excited now, at 19‒years‒old, to meet my favorite princess. Clearly, no matter the age of guests, visiting their favorite attraction or meeting their favorite character can brighten their
With my family’s annual trips to Walt Disney World, every time it appears the same, nothing has changed, except for yourself. Disney make us feel as if time is infinite, that we did not and will not grow up. It is the stories that you listened to as a child, coming to life. It is a place where your imagination is limitless. It is a place that is eternally optimistic for the future as it portrays a world with endless possibilities. As you enter the park you are completely cut off from the outside world; all the chaos, and stress is gone with each explosion of a firework over Cinderella’s Castle. Disney does a thousand things 1% better making magic a reality, and happiness a necessity. Everything is meticulously planned and executed. Whenever we leave Walt Disney World, my brothers and I claim to have PDD or Post Disney Depression as time catches up and the real world sets in. The Walt Disney Company has influenced my perception of the world by putting a permanent smile on my face from the beginning of the trip to the end, giving me memories that I will carry with me for the rest of my life, and inspiring me to make my dreams come
It has been every child’s dream to visit the happiest place on earth since the word ‘Disneyland’ had been uttered. Disneyland is a place where the stories created by Walt Disney Studios come to life and allow the visitor to be a part of these wonderful tales. The famous theme park has created millions of joyous memories for every family that has entered through its gates. But the main question is,why was one of America’s most famous travel destinations created? All though the Walt Disney Company makes a large profit off of Disneyland each year, it is obvious the theme park was created for the entertainment of the American family because of the resources and the amount of detail that was put into the project.
“To all who come to this happy place; welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past...and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams and the hard facts that have created America...with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world”, said Walter Elias Disney as he gave his opening speech at Disneyland, Anaheim in 1955. Disneyland was a place that was welcomed to everyone. Disneyland became an inspiration to the American people by peaking curiosity and adventure to children. This family- friendly amusement park gave those who entered it, the opportunity to expand their minds from technology, to history, adventures and
When one thinks of Disneyland, they usually associate it with the phrase “Happiest Place On Earth.” Disney lovers of all ages travel from around the world to Anaheim, California to have the ultimate disney experience; to ride disney themed rides, meet characters, and experience spectacular parades and light shows. But is Disneyland really enjoyable for all ages? For children, it’s a little slice of heaven and parents seem to enjoy it too;even the elderly walk around disneyland with smiles on their faces. One audience that is often overlooked is college students.
Ever since I was about six years old, I wanted in the worst way to go to Disneyland. I would hope every year that my parents would chose Disneyland as our next family vacation destination. I dreamt of the day I would come back from Disneyland with exciting tales of adventure and a pair of sparkly, ruby red and black Minnie Mouse ears of my very own that would be the envy of every kid in my elementary class. Once I finally went to Disneyland, it was amazing; Disneyland was everything I had expected and more. However, a couple years later when I returned to Disneyland, it was different. The rides, buildings, and everything in the park did not have the same allure. The magic I had experienced as a child was no longer there.
When I was a young child I would love to hear my parents tell me that we were going on a trip. I would be full of excitement, because I knew that we would be going to a place that I had never seen before. My parents, my brother, and I would pack our luggage and venture out in our small gray minivan. Three of my most cherished memories in our minivan are when we went to Disney World, the beach, and the mountains.
