Collectively, these United States Disney owned resort parks make up the first, second, sixth, seventh and eighth most visited theme parks in the world under the same report (Robinett, John). Therefore, with such a large popularity and attendance of these two resorts, families visiting may wonder, which one is an overall better option to visit for their family? With a property that covers 27,258 acres, Disney world is the size of San Francisco, or two Manhattans, which dwarfs Anaheim's Disneyland (Dolan, Rebecca). Consequently, Disney World resort is allowed to have a much larger collection of unique hotels for guests to enjoy. Of the thirty-four resorts and hotels on the Walt Disney World property, twenty-eight are owned and operated by Walt Disney World. All of these resorts have their own theme different from the rest, allowing families more options for a hotel that fits the people in their family better. Possibly because of the delay between the two parks or the general experimentation of Disney’s first park, Walt Disney World resort has been able to adapt several concepts throughout the years that can change the guest experience. These systems that Disney World holds exclusively are the Magic Band, Fastpass+ and the Utilidors. The Magic Band system is a recent addition to the Disney World resort that most definitely separates itself from Disneyland in a sense of the ease it gives guests. According to Disney themselves, Magic Bands are colorful wristbands that are “actually an all-in-one device that effortlessly connects [guests] to all the vacation choices [they] made with My Disney Experience” (“MagicBands & Cards”). Essentially, Magic Bands put together many small individual belongings such as room keys and paper fastpass slips, to make guest’s experience at the park more effortless. Each MagicBand can also be customized with a different color or even design to add more fun for each family member during their trip. Magic Bands aren’t the only relatively new system added to Disney World; the addition of Fastpass+--which correlates with Magic Bands--also makes guests experience easier.
