"But mom,'' I said. "I don’t want to hear it.Go to your room right now!" My mom interrupted. "UGH!" I shouted. So I went to my room and started complaining over not being able to get a dog. Dogs are fun to have. And they're also nice and smart. My mom says we can’t get one cause we don’t have a fence. We'd have to get toys and a bed for it. And it would need to be potty trained. And I also don’t have enough money. And we'd need to buy dog food. I decided not to get a dog cause we could use the money for important things. Hopefully I get a dog someday, but right now it won’t happen. Christmas came and went and I still don’t have a dog. ‘’Maybe its best if I don’t own one?’’ I thought.

Now, I know that you are thinking that I am ungrateful, and I’m not! I simply want Mac to have a companion, Chloe and me to have a dog that we can play with, to reduce stress and bad behavior in the house, and for this last reason. According to www.doghealth.com, Children with pets tend to be more balanced and responsible as they mature. Should you have more than one child, having multiple dogs will give each child a special friend. They can learn to be responsible for their special canine friend which, in turn, gives them feelings of confidence and security. We all know that this does not apply to six-year-olds like Chloe, but I will share the responsibility with her if you so desire, to make her a better and more responsible person. I know that this is a lot of information to take in, so here are the basic
Restate Thesis Statement: Dogs don’t only give owners happiness; they also affect their owners positively.
Having a dog can be a great experience for people who enjoy their company. These animals are usually friendly and active; they are intelligent and can develop a strong relationship with their owners based on love and care. However, having dogs is a big responsibility for the person who owns them, because they are animals, so they cannot support themselves. Dogs need someone who can feed them, give them love, and someone who can help them exercise. Moreover, these animals need big spaces in order to run and develop their muscles, so the owner has to know that he needs to take a walk with the dog several times a day.
TRANSITION: In my opinion, getting a dog from a pet store is a poor decision.
If one wants to live a more responsible, more active, and a healthier life style they should get a dog. Obtaining the previously mentioned qualities are great but gaining a best friend is even better. Dogs are intelligent animals and their personalities are one of a kind. With training, love, and patience any dog can become a great addition to one’s family. Adoption from an animal shelter is a great way to get a dog although there are adoption fees most of the money is being used to vaccinate the dog before its taken to its forever home. Buying a dog from a reputable breeder is another option as how one gets a dog. Reputable breeders usually guarantee a puppy’s health. One might have to go through a few more hoops to be able to buy a dog from
Dogs don’t even get me started they are so much work. You have to walk them every day. If you get them
Dogs are magnificent creatures, and when raised correctly, are adorable, loyal, loving animals. However it takes a lot of time, energy, and commitment to make sure that dogs are raised correctly. These animals have a lot of the same requirements that a human child needs. They also act as a child would. A new dog owner would do well to consider these points before they take on the responsibility of raising one of these incredible creatures.
Being a teenager my mother explained having a pet was a great responsibility somehow I was frustrated she didn’t understand my passion and love for dogs! Nothing in the world would convince her to let us get one. She claimed I can have a turtle if I desperately wanted to have a pet. I couldn’t agree.
Once upon a time, a young boy named Miles really wanted a pet. But Miles didn’t know what pet, eventually he was thinking about having his own dog. So one day his parents got a dog for him for his birthday. He loved his first dog, and would play with his dog named Bell. Have you ever had a great pet but something suddenly happened?
Owning a Pet Having a pet is a wonderful idea! Pets bring companionship, personality, and gut wrenching humor to households across the world. Having previously owned both a cat and a dog, and currently being without a pet, I began to think about getting a new furry friend. Born a dog lover, and bred into a cat lover, I had the difficult decision of choosing one of the two. When I was twenty-two years old, I answered an advertisement in the paper for free Labrador puppies.
There are many reasons to get a pet. You could choose to get a pet for a companion, or simply to add to your family. Many older folk choose to get a pet after they retire or lose their spouse so they do not feel lonely. Many young couples choose to get a pet before they opt to have children, and many families add a pet to their home for their children. The question is though, what type of pet to get? Do you get a cat, or a dog? Having a dog as a pet over a cat is much more enjoyable and beneficial to your life, specifically because of their behavior, convenience, and loyalty.
”It's estimated that 70-80 million dogs… Approximately 37-47% of all households in the United States have a dog” (“ASPCA”). This statistic shows that almost half of the households in the US own at least one dog. They are great pets to have as a family or alone, but there are some things a first time owner needs to know. I have 3 dogs and have lived with dogs for my entire life. If someone wants a dog, they need to know how to choose and buy your dog, care for that dog, and treat the dog when they are sick, so they can share the great experience of owning a dog.
"Honey," my mom yelled to me one sunny afternoon, "Go out and feed Sugar." Sugar was our dog, a big, husky lap dog. I went to our kitchen, and got some food. Then I stepped outside, into the warm, fresh August air, looking for Sugar. I glanced to where I kept Sugar, and couldn't believe my eyes. Sugar was not there. I ran to the place where Sugar slept, I saw that the leash was elegantly coiled up. I knew that Sugar could not have run away. I thought that she must have chased a deer or another animal. Then a disturbing thought hit me, Sugar might have been abducted. As I tried to push that thought out of my mind, I thought that my mom could have put Sugar out in the garage. I went to the garage to check, but unfortunately Sugar wasn?t there. ?Mom,? I cried after a couple of seconds, ?Do you know where Sugar is??
Ever since I can remember I’ve wanted a dog. Never did I think that dogs would end up being by biggest fear. I was just a little kid around 6 years old when it happened. I was walking home from my friend’s house when I saw a stray dog, it was in the middle of the street blocking my way, I decided to walk past it, while I was walking it started growling at me, I hesitated but still kept trying to walk then suddenly it got up and started barking empathically towards me. I was terrified, my first initial reaction being a 6 year old kid was to scare it away, I was ignorant. I picked up a rock and threw it at the dog thinking it’ll get scared and run away. I was wrong. The dog had enough it made a whimpering noise then started barking even louder
