“I had a blast ATVing,” my cousin, Ritu said. I replied, “I know, it’s too much fun.’’ We had the best of all worlds during this trip. I went to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I went during the end of July through August in 2015. I went on an ATV car with my mother. It was like a party everyone could imagine. We proceeded this adventure on a hot, sweltering day. I felt as if I could melt from the heat of the sun. We had a total of forty people, partnering up, enjoying the ATV ride. I thought we were like a famous group with so much attention. My trip to Punta Cana was positively an unforgettable memory. “Hurry up,’’ my mother exclaimed to our family. It was time to go on the bus. The big bus would take us to the ATV cars. It seemed to be a windy, breezy day. I could feel the wind splat on my face as my hair got crazy. Within the forty-group, it included my cousins and most of my family friends who we hung out with. This experience was never going to happen again, so I tried to make the most of it. The weather was exquisite, the clear blue sky, the breezy wind, and the blazing, warm weather. As all the kids chatted and enjoyed the ride, we ate small snacks, such as goldfish and cookies. It was the best thing since sliced bread that we ate because I would have got really hungry. The cookies tasted like a little round piece of heaven, as the goldfish was like a rainbow of flavors on your tongue that combined deliciously. I jumped up and down with adrenaline, as we reached closer to our destination. The ride was about twenty-five minutes. Everyone was …show more content…
blissful like birds chirping in the spring. The time passed by, “tick tock, tick tock.” “Are we there yet,” my friend Puja and I asked the parents. As the driver of the bus parks, I realized that I saw my mother’s biggest phobia, lizards! I was laughing inside my head, hysterically, as I watched the light green baby lizard. It was finally time to get off the bus. I had a marvelous time on the bus, feeling as if I was on cloud nine. This was going to be an enjoyable moment of my life and I couldn't wait. Scheer, the ATV went for an example by the tourist. “Stay together with your parents and be careful,” my uncle says. All the children nodded, shaking their heads with excitement. We stood by our parents, as we waited in line for our ATV car. I was partnered with my mother, as my brother was partnered with my father. Even though we got a shabby ATV car, we had an amazing time. My mom and dad were on the ball about how to drive the ATV car because they were both masters of driving a regular car. As we waited for the others to get situated, my mother and I prepared for the small journey we were going to take by putting our seatbelts on and having my mother's phone out for pictures. It was time to start. I put on my sunglasses to begin the adventure, officially. I was excited like I was getting presents for my birthday. All the ATV cars were a variety of colors that were in a straight line, in which everyone had to follow each other. The first ATV car car zoomed across the rocky trail as everyone followed that car. During every long period of driving, there was a photographer who took pictures of all the ATV cars, in order to make a CD with photos of this event. My mother and I were satisfied from the wind that blew on our faces. The beautiful views were like amazing pictures coming to life. The rocky trail made our car very bumpy, making particles of sand flow behind us, as my mom continued to drive. After driving the ATV car for ten minutes, we realized that there were mouthwatering mangoes on the ground. We began to drive slower to get as many mangoes we could from the ground that weren’t squished. The mangoes could melt in someone’s mouth. I put the mangoes we collected into our blue polka dotted bag, until we saw poor people asking us for food. I cut the mustard and did the right thing. Thankfully, our bag had mini cereal boxes from our buffet we ate at for breakfast. I gave all our boxes of food to all the poor people we could find. I also tried to make the poor children happy by trying to give them a high five. After this good deed I performed, I noticed that it was time to get off the ATV car and go cave jumping! My legs felt numb as I continued to walk with my cousins, Sahil and Ritu. We followed the parents, staying with them to prevent getting lost. “Who’s ready to cave jump?,” my aunt shouted.
“Not me,” I replied with fright. My heart beated as I decided whether I should go or not. As my nerved widen, I followed everyone to the cave. My mind wasn’t going to change about not going cave jumping. As we walked closer to the cave, I saw the tourist holding a giant chameleon! “Who wants to hold the lizard,” the tourist
said. Everyone replied “yes,” but my mother and I responded, “No, no, never.” I got cold feet. The lizard made me scared out of my wits. My mother and I scattered up the stairs, as everyone else put their lifejackets on and took pictures with the chameleon. My mom and I waited as the others cave jumped. The cave jumping wasn't that steep so many people enjoyed it. We then went to the shack that sold delicious, fresh coconut water. They sliced the coconut in front of you, so I felt very fascinated. It was a sweet and refreshing drink that you could have all the time. After everyone finished their coconut water, we all went back with our parents to begin ATVing again on the bumpy trail. We kept following the tourist, as we observed nature and how beautiful it was. In a moment, we arrived to our next and final stop. This stop was rotten luck for me. It was like I found a “not so good” penny. We were being briefly spoken about how people in Dominican Republic made chocolate and coffee from coffee beans. They taught us how to make chocolate and coffee in their perspective. They also gave us hot, warm samples! That was the awful part. Crash! I bumped into someone and spilled my chocolate sample all over me. The worst part was that I wore white, fresh new clothes. The brown chocolate became a nightmare to me. After this incident, I decided to stay away from the samples and I went to the mini store they had. I bribed my mother into getting me earrings, as she got three detailed candles for a memory. Peering at what others were doing, I sat on the brown, wooden bench that was crafted. I felt as if I was on top of the world. “Everyone, go in your ATV car with your parents yo head back to base,” my uncle said. We all followed his command and headed back on the rocky, sandy trail. I was down in the dumps, since our ATVing trip was about to end. I at least enjoyed the time I had in the car going to the base where we got our car and started our adventure. In a snap, we were back at the ATVing place. We stepped out of the vehicle and gathered around the photo area. We saw all the photos that were going to be in the CD we were going to receive. As we looked at the pictures, we ate some of snacks we bought, just in case some was hungry. I grinned as I watched the photos. We stayed at the ATV place, until the exact same, blue bus came to pick us up. I looked down in my mouth, as we boarded the bus. All the children talked about what happened in their ATV car. Everyone had an amazing time for the most part from their feedback. My trip was amazing and wonderful. I wish that i could experience this car ride in Dominican Republic, Punta Cana again, because it was really fun! Even though there were ups and downs to this trip, i will never forget it. It impacted my life alot because I am likely never going to ATV again. If you go to Dominican Republic, you should try ATVing. It will be an experience you will never forget.
Before long I spotted my friends a few feet away and I walked in their direction. I found my 3 friends roaring with laughter, and I couldn’t help but laugh as well. A few hours later we were all piled in the car and Ashley’s parents drove home. We sat in a comfortable silence because everyone was exhausted from all the fun that we had. I smiled to myself in the dark, as I thought about what an amazing story my trip to six flags would make in the
I was born in the Dominican Republic, November 2, 1982. I lived and grew up in a countryside where everybody knew each other. My childhood years were full of wonderful experiences where I felt loved by my parents and my family. I went to school around 6 years old. I had to walk around 30 minutes to get there from my house. My father was a farmer who had to work long hours in order to sustain our big family. My mother was a housewife; she was in charge of taking care of us. I have five siblings, three boys and two girls. I remember that at that time we did not have many things in our house. We did not have electricity and also we did not have a service of water. I remembered that my father had to go to the river to get water for the necessities of the house. At that time my family was very poor, but my
In 2009, my parents and I decided to travel to San Antonio, Texas for vacation. My parents and I have traveled there before, but we enjoyed it so much that we decided to go back. With many places to see and do; my parents thought that we should go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. It was at this theme park, where something happened that I would never forget.
As my father and I finally fit the statue of the little Virgin Mary in the back of the car, it was time to get on the road. I could already taste the guavas from my great grandfather’s ranch. Feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin. The smell of my aunt’s cooking. Hearing the excitement of my great grandmother’s voice. I wanted to be there already, be in the beautiful country of Mexico. My thoughts wandered as we left my house. How much welcome, love, and the sadness of leaving was going to happen. It was too soon to find out.
As I opened my eyes, I saw a giant cruise ship in front of my eyes.It took two whole days but we finally reached Florida where we went Rock Gliding. It’s where you have to get past a giant, rocky maze. The winner gets to cans of ice cream.Though my sister won,we all shared the ice cream.Next stop, the Bahamas!!!In the bahamas we went parasailing up 700 ft above water level,it was so much fun.The boat driver even let us touch the smooth, light blue water with our feet. Finally, we ended with a relaxing dolphin swim on the soft, delicate beach of Jamaica.
This past summer, my family and I went on a cruise to the Bahamas. We had just docked at the second port, Nassau, and were preparing to exit the gigantic ship named the Carnival Fantasy. Once we got to the city, I noticed it was bustling with people of all different backgrounds and cultures. The roads were narrow and some even hilly. I remember coming to the conclusion that a lot of people in the Bahamas must have road rage what from the blaring car horns I could hear around every corner. My family and I were walking along the sidewalk, glancing into shops as we passed them. The weather was unbearably hot, but growing up in South Carolina allowed my family and I to push onward with our adventure. The sun burn on my back started to pulsate in pain any time the sunlight hit it, so we decided to stick to the side of the buildings that provided shade.
As my family and I walked into the plane, we were excited. The plane ride to jamaica stopped in L.A. and, after that, it went to jamaica. When we arrived in Jamaica it was really hot, but it was wet. I immediately took off my sweater I was wearing on the plane. We took a bus to our hotel. Then we started swimming in the water park. Every night there was a show in the main stage. The next day we woke up early to go to chukka. It was awesome. We saw a great house, rode on horses, and did a challenge course. After we came back from Chukka, we went to the water park and swimming pool at the hotel. Then we ate at fresh, which we went most of the time. The next day we woke up earlier to go to the dolphin cove. The bus was an hour late, but the wait
It was almost time to leave when we rode our final rides. “Let’s ride the Fahrenheit one more time.” I said. We walked to the line and rode that one last time for the day. I walked to the car with all my friends behind me. We were all so tired as we hopped in the car. It was a great day at Hersheypark. One of our favorite roller coasters didn’t work, but we still had
Out of all the trips I have taken, Cancun was definitely the best. It was 2013 and I was in fifth grade. I had known about the trip for weeks and I was so amped up for the plane ride, for the hotel, and especially the ocean. I was in science and the teacher was getting mad because I was distracting all the kids by jittering all over the place. Finally I heard my name called over the intercom and I leaped for joy and ran out of the classroom. From school we drove to the Iowa Airport, got our tickets and loaded onto the plane. Our first plane took us to Chicago, Illinois where we boarded a plane , at the O’Hare International Airport, departing for Cancun,Mexico. The second plane was very lengthy, I tried to sleep but I didn’t actually fall asleep
The day of my grandparents had told me they have been wanting to go to the Florida Keys and asked if I would like to join. So of course i wanted to go. Oh and when they told me i could bring a friend along i was jumping with happiness inside. They told me we would be going for a couple weeks and they had all expenses covered. So that day I started talking to Jamie and asking her when she would be back, because at that time she was in Florida visiting family. She had told me she would be back . So i asked her is she would like to join me and take a trip to the Keys with me. I could tell she was so excited when i asked her because she texted me back all in caps and said “CALL ME”. So i called her to let her know all of the details. So she ended up getting back .So when she got back from Florida we went to Walmart and bought a lot of
I would like to travel Nicaragua to spend time with my Family and go visit the beach and beautiful and wonderful different places, I would like to eat food from my country, is very delicious and different kinds.
I got home and began thinking about my options to make my life a bit more interesting. I went through the usual options of having a nice vacation in the Bahamas, moving to a new country, or just getting a new car; yet, they all fail to peak my interest. I wanted something extravagant to happen, like a zombie apocalypse or a nuclear war, for all I cared. I began surfing around the deep web, looking at all the illegal things it had. Then I saw an advertisement on the screen, “Is someone causing a problem in your life? Hire one of our special members to take care of them.” My interest was piqued. I clicked on the ad, only to find it was a ‘hire a hitman’ website. Then, out of the blue, I had an amazing idea to hire a hitman on myself. It would
Imagine entering a new country where you cannot understand the native language but you convince yourself that you understand what they are saying to try and fit in. Where the sun feels hotter than ever before and the sunset peaks between the mountains every morning. You wake up to a somewhat foreign language every morning telling you to get up to have breakfast even though its 7 am in the morning. This is what it's like to travel over to Mexico for a week.
After we got off the airplane, we rented a car and drove to my Uncle Joe?s house. We finally got there and then we all went out to eat dinner. We went to some Italian restraunt and boy was it good. To this day, I have never tasted anything as good as the Veal Picata I had that day. I ate so much that I could hardly move and once I got back to my uncle?s, I just passed out and went to bed. I had a big and exciting day ahead of me. I was going to Universal Studios and I couldn?t wait.
I jumped out of the car with my two sisters and ran to the bathroom. When we left the bathroom, we walked back to the car. We saw that our dad was still putting gas in the car, so we went into the store to buy some sweets. I bought “warheads” that said extremely sour, and a bag of chips called “baked with fire” that looked like they would taste really hot. When we purchased our food, we walked back to the car. As soon as we started driving, I opened my bag of chips. I was so scared that they would be extremely hot. For that reason, I also bought a bottle of water. I opened it before I took a bite out of the chip. Luckily, they were not hot at all! I grabbed my sour candy and tasted it. My face changed so quickly; that I started to squint my eyes and point my lips. I could not take another bite of it because it was really sour! Eventually, I was not hungry anymore. Probably because I ate my whole bag of chips and a sandwich. When I finished eating, I was feeling exhausted, so I took a long nap. I woke up, and dad told me that we only needed to drive for one more hour. While we were driving through town, we saw a row of trees on fire! It was so smoky that we could barely see the street we were driving on. I felt scared for life and terrified that we might crash. After a few more minutes of driving, the smoke cleared up and we could see again. Finally, the hour passed and we arrived in California. Mrs.
