One summer morning, I woke up excited. My friends and I were going to Hershey Park. I’ve been busy this summer, so this is the first time I was able to go. Hershey Park is a big amusement park with big roller coasters and a big water park. The Fahrenheit is my favorite ride there. I woke up, took a shower, got dressed, ate breakfast, and waited for them to pick me up at my house. While I sat on my couch, I had my bag with a towel and a bathing suit for the water park and I could put my phone there. I was ready to go. As soon as they picked me up, we headed right to Hershey. On the way, we talked about the rides and what we were going to do. We were arguing about what was going to be our first ride that day. It took about half an hour, but we made …show more content…
it there a few minutes after it opened. We all rushed to get our tickets checked so we could enter. There weren’t a lot of people there. “I’m so excited!”, Zach said. “Me too!”, yelled Devin. “We should ride the Great Bear first”, I said. “How about we go on the Skyrush?” Evan asked. We rushed to a numerous amount of rides and rode them.
As time went by, we were hungry, so we ate food and bought drinks during the day. While we ate lunch, my friend told me that he still was hungry, so he got more food! After lunch, we changed into our bathing suits and decided to go to the water park. We went down long water slides. “I’m not going in the lazy river,” shouted Gavin. “I know where all the water slides are”, explained Scott. “That works then!” Zach replied. “We have bad news,” said Devin, “The Storm Runner is closed today because it has not been running every good.” “Oh no,” I whispered. The Storm Runner was so fast and went high in the air. It was one of everyone’s favorite coaster. We slowly walked back to ride any other rides. Since the Storm Runner wasn’t running well, they closed the ride for the day, so we were upset. It was almost time to leave when we rode our final rides. “Let’s ride the Fahrenheit one more time.” I said. We walked to the line and rode that one last time for the day. I walked to the car with all my friends behind me. We were all so tired as we hopped in the car. It was a great day at Hersheypark. One of our favorite roller coasters didn’t work, but we still had
fun.
It was the summer of 2012 and my family was taking another trip to Six Flags Great America. Earlier that summer we went just for me to be disappointed. At the time I wasn’t 54 inches yet and couldn’t ride any of the rides that I wanted to because they were the most popular at the amusement park. But, I hit a growth spurt between trips and we planned to ride all of the big rollercoasters. The one that I was most terrified of at the time was Raging Bull, one of the tallest, fastest, and longest steel coasters in the US. As we started to wait in line for the ride I was shaking with both anticipation and fear and began to rethink my idea to ride the rollercoaster. I decided to stay in line and see what many people thought was a great coaster.
“Where are we?” “You're in Sacramento river. I saw ” I let out a breath. Then it hit me, he was there, he was the one that watched everything go down. I was in the Sacramento River.
Before long I spotted my friends a few feet away and I walked in their direction. I found my 3 friends roaring with laughter, and I couldn’t help but laugh as well. A few hours later we were all piled in the car and Ashley’s parents drove home. We sat in a comfortable silence because everyone was exhausted from all the fun that we had. I smiled to myself in the dark, as I thought about what an amazing story my trip to six flags would make in the
We’re both looking at the top of the roller coaster track begging and pleading that we be taken off. “I don’t want to ride, somebody get me off!” My life had flashed before my eyes as well as my best friends. We began to tell each other that we loved one another. Before we knew it we were at the top of the roller coaster looking down at all of the people who were walking around still living and breathing enjoying funnel cakes, turkey legs and ice cream. As for us at the top of the ride were having panic attacks and screaming as loud as we could but no one seemed to hear us. We were getting ready to have the ride of our lives.
Earlier that morning, we were at the Quinn motel, in Ironwood Michigan. We were staying at the motel because we lost our trailer due to the winter weather caving in our trailer. *** Explain why and how many years of hunting*** Stupid snow… I just woke up, thinking to myself I’m gonna get ‘em today! The Quinn motel was nice, not a very fancy motel, but it had everything you would need, the beds are nice, the bathrooms are fairly nice, they really don’t have a little kitchen but we stayed in the house that they rent out and that was actually pretty decent talk about what you stayed in not overall rooms. Our morning went like this, got up, brushed our teeth, my dad drank coffee like usual, then we went to Toni’s Place. Toni’s Place is about as good as the Quinn motel not fancy but, they have really good food. Toni’s place it can only fit like 60 people at a time it’s got a little bar in a curved line the bottom of its chrome it looks like the 70’s or 80’s in my opinion. It’s not very modern! Back to reality, so we are at Toni’s place, too detailed-not an important part of your story I’m eating an omelet right now, it’s so good! Bacon, Bacon, Bacon! When we got done eating we went to our stand. Shows don’t tell! The bears hit last night. The biggest paw print ...
Sometimes life is just miserable. It might be because things don’t work out, or plans change, or even just that the weather for the day turns out the exact opposite of what the weather channel claimed. At times like this, it’s hard to stay positive or even consider having a good time. But as a child, I experienced firsthand that even during the gloomiest of times; you can still end up having an amazing experience in the end. It all started when I was four and my family was taking a trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
The amusement park with the lake looked peaceful but on the other hand a little scary and fun. After deciding on what ride to go on first they picked the little rides and then went up to the extreme roller coasters. They both decided the one thing they aren't going to go on is the ferris wheel. They both decided that it was a little to hair-raising (scary).
The whole time I was screaming falling up and down on the death trap of a ride my friend was hysterically laughing at me. After that death trap the journey to find another ride was short because it was right next to the Hollywood terror but unfortunately the rock ‘n’ roller coaster was closed due to maintenance and Alex was dying to go on it. Instead of going on that ride we had to walk all the way back to the main area just to see a Star Wars parade blocking all paths to anywhere but luckily for us it wasn’t too long and it was fun. Soon after the parade finished we decided to go back to the hotel because it was supposed to storm later in the day and we didn’t want to have to stay at the park when a storm hit because then everyone would have to be cramped in a small building
Okay, ready, set jump, I repetitively say feeling my heart beat through my chest. Edges have always been a fear of mine while looking down at a 23-foot drop into icy blue waters. During the summer, I took a trip to Action Park, with my travel camp, Teenscape. Since I have never been to this amusement park, I did research about this park. I was struck with terror, after investigating the park, and learning of horror stories of peoples’ deaths at this park.
The first night we were there, we got lost looking for the bed and breakfast we were staying at that night. We kept driving by it, but we couldn’t find a way to get to it so we kept driving right by it and then get lost looking for it again. After forty five minutes of looking for the bed and breakfast we finally found it. We were finally able to take showers and then we went out to dinner, we found this cute little pizza place where ...
One day, with my family, we were in front of Disney Land ready to enter. As I walked through the entrance, millions of beautiful colors blinded my eyes. It was as colorful as a rainbow! Everything looks like a dream come true . Me and my family were greeted by cheerful welcoming workers!
We drove back through the arch of tangled greenery and shimmering lights. As we passed under it, a spell lifted and reality grasped my whole body. Let me tell you something, reality ain’t appealing. Especially when you have just exited a place where our everyday reality doesn’t exist We came to a halt at a stoplight right outside of the arch and my head whipped around involuntarily back to the arch as if my body was trying to wrestle its way out of the reality of the real world. I turned back around in my seat, crossed my arms, and slouched.
It was getting about time for lunch so we decided to make grilled sandwiches. I am not a cook so of course I didn’t know how to make a grilled sandwich like Abi and Makenzie. With assistance from Makenzie I know how to make a grilled sandwich but, that sandwich that I made that day for lunch was the ugliest and most horrific sandwich I have ever seen. It was horrible. After lunch we decided that since it was such a pretty day we would go get Pelican’s snow cones. On the way back to Makenzie’s house we saw a rainbow and so we stopped and admired it for awhile. When we got back to Makenzie’s house we pulled out Daisy the golf cart.
When time jumped like lighting, so did we, not to our feet but towards each other. We held one another even tighter and didn't want to let go. Although, time was spent wisely and carefully saved, we had run out and were rushed like an ambulance to meet the schedule appointed in half an hour. In sweet bitterness, we packed up and went home. An everlasting day at Lake Lavon that is perpetual in my heart will remain there forever.
While on the road my friend’s sister and I got to know each other very well. We talked about how we were doing in school, and many other things. As time went by we could see the mountains getting closer and closer to us. We could not wait to climb El Capitan. When we finally arrived, we unpacked and got ready to hike El Capitan. On the way up the hike we had a great time because as we hiked up we talked about how cool it was going to be up there on top of the world.
