This is my letter to you about what I did over the summer. I had a great, long, and enjoyable summer this year (2024). This summer I went to Florida. Florida is a whole lot different than Wyoming, as you might already know. My summer started off really slow and boring, but as the summer went on it got better and more fun. I also spent a lot of time with my friends and family over the summer. We did things such as hang out, golf, drive around, go camping, go to the lake, and more. Florida was really hot, but also really fun. I was in Florida for around 3 weeks and my main goal when I was there was to get really tan. I ended up getting sunburnt at the end of my vacation so I peeled and most of my tan went away. My family and I love going to …show more content…
My family has a cabin which we love to visit and do things such as fish, hike, enjoy nature, and play yard games with each other. A part of our cabin ended up collapsing over the last couple of years, so this summer we decided to rebuild that part of the cabin. Our cabin is a great way to get out of town and just relax without having to deal with anyone or …show more content…
This was really fun as half of my friends go to NC and we don't get to hang out that much. At the lake, we went tubing, swam, climbed the tall beach which I forgot its name, and went cliff jumping. I’ve never been cliff jumping but my friends had and they said it would be fun, so I decided to do it. We started off on small cliffs( about 10 feet) then we decided that we wanted to jump off the really big cliffs. This cliff was a long swim there and a long swim back. Knowing this, my friends and I decided to go. We swam a long way to get there. Once we were there, we were all out of breath and needed to take a breather for 10 minutes. Once everyone was back to normal we started walking up the cliff side to get to the big cliff( about 30ft). Everyone was scared to jump so i went first. It was really scary before i jumped, but once i jumped it all went away and it became all shock. Everything felt like it was slow motion while I was in the air. Then I hit the water and everything became normal again. Everyone else jumped after knowing I was ok, then we had that long swim back but it was easier because of the adrenaline that made me not feel exhausted from swimming. About 20 minutes later my ear started hurting really bad, I wasn't sure why. Later that night when I got home, I tried all sorts of things to help my ear such as, heating the pad to my ear, laying down on the side that my ear hurts
Florida In less than a month we will have Christmas break. On Christmas evening we will be going to Florida. I am going to Florida with my parents, and my annoying brothers. The car trip there will be long and stressful , but at the end it will be all worth it. I hope my trip to Florida is amazing, I always feel so at home when I’m in Florida. I feel as if I should of been born there, I would be a great surfer dude! We will be renting a car, both of our cars aren’t big enough for us all to fit
going to Florida, I hopped out of bed and threw on some clothes. I slept threw both plane rides and when I woke up we had landed in Florida. I unbuttoned my winter coat as I stared at the bright blue sky and felt the warmth of the sun through the plane window. Once out of the airplane, I took a deep breath in, and humid, thick air filled my lungs; I looked up at a palm tree and saw a bright green bird looking right back at me. I believe nowhere is like home. I’ve lived in Sturgis, South Dakota my whole
Ocean It was the middle of winter, and to get away from the cold my family and I decided to take a vacation somewhere warm and enjoyable. We decided to go to Florida and enjoy the warm and beautiful beaches. I pictured the ocean as being a place of peace and serenity. It was my first time visiting the ocean, and all I hoped for was the ocean to be as beautiful as the pictures I had seen of it. As we arrived at Clearwater Beach in Florida, the eagerness of seeing this peaceful place was rising. I couldn’t
year, I got the amazing chance to travel to Florida with my sister. While it wasn’t the first time we’ve gone to Florida, because a lot of our family lives there, I had never gone there without my parents before, so it was a whole new, scary experience! We made so many memories while there, and I’ll always remember it for that. I had set one goal for this trip, though: to watch the 4th of July fireworks from the ocean. Even though I set a goal for this trip, I couldn’t achieve it until the 4th of July
My heart was filled with so much joy as the day approached for us to head to Miami, Florida for our annual family reunion. We all got up around 4:00 a.m. that night to head out. Many of my family from all over Georgia planned to trail behind one another to enjoy the journey. Some from Thomasville, some from Cairo and some from Atlanta. Everyone was so overjoyed, you could tell by the smiles on their faces and the laughs they let out. As we traveled the bright and bumpy roads I watched all of the
It was a murky overcast summer's eve; crisp morsels of rain splashed on the ground vigorously. Sounds of jet engines buzzed in the back of my ear lobes through the torrential downpour. The common sight of the departure time of our flight being delayed yet again caught my eye as we turned the corner towards the gate. Almost an hour later we began to finally line up at the gate to get on the what then seemed massive jet plane. I remember looking out the gigantic floor to ceiling windows at providence

I had a great time over summer break it was fun and I hung out with a ton of my friends they are all great. The most exciting thing I did was went to Florida to visit my sister that I haven’t seen in awhile and I got to see my niece and nephew too. When we got to Florida it was three in the morning and we stopped at a hotel about fifteen minutes from where my sister lived. It was me and my brother’s first time in Florida and we were super excited to be there and to get to see our sister. We did a
I had the opportunity to travel to Orlando Florida with my soccer team to play the Disney world tournament at the ESPN sport center , it was a 10 day trip and there was so much activities to do over there. It was my first time traveling without my family. I was pretty scared, but excited at the same time because it would be a great experience for me. there was a downfall to all this as well, i wouldn’t be able to spend Christmas and the new year with my family i realized that right when the date
freezing cold water nipping at your toes. That’s my paradise. Tampa Florida has been part of my life growing up, my grandparents have always lived there during the snowy winter months in Michigan. My family always travels to Florida to visit them over spring break and we always have an amazing time. But the spring break of 2012 was by far the best. Trekking to the beach every morning and soaking up the sun, playing volleyball and swimming with my family, venturing to new places and just exploring
The day of my grandparents had told me they have been wanting to go to the Florida Keys and asked if I would like to join. So of course i wanted to go. Oh and when they told me i could bring a friend along i was jumping with happiness inside. They told me we would be going for a couple weeks and they had all expenses covered. So that day I started talking to Jamie and asking her when she would be back, because at that time she was in Florida visiting family. She had told me she would be back
When looking back on my time at Florida State University, nothing comes to mind more so than my trip to London. While in my freshman year of college I was afforded the opportunity to study abroad during spring break. I was enrolled in a cultural anthropology course, and jumped at the chance to travel with a small group of students. My summer and fall semesters had left me feeling disconnected, so the chance to get to know people on a personal level while sharing new experiences seemed ideal. For
One of my most favorite memories is from last summer when my parents and my three teenage siblings, and I took a trip to the Gulf of Mexico. We spent the weekend at a vacation home in Bradenton Beach Florida. First, we started out our trip by each of us packing what we would need for the weekend and loading it up in the truck. Next, while my dad was connecting our boat, my mom told us kids to bring our ear buds, phones, phone chargers, and a pillow to prepare for a very long and boring trip. Then
Personal Narrative, Manatee-fueled Trip The feeling of the cold water around me was really waking me up. Swirling crystal green-blue water and tree branches gently floated past me as my mom and I made our way into the lagoon. I blinked my blue eyes to clear the liquid from my goggles. And then I saw it; a grey manatee, swimming slowly in the water with it’s tail swishing up and down softly. The real mermaids. We weren't allowed to (deep breath) yell near/at, touch, feed, hit, kick, poke, kick sand
due in a scant 4 hours and I had all week to do it. The radio had stopped working because my brother got on the Internet and thus cut off my connection. That was the least of my problems working on this paper. I got it done, though. My life changed with one trip of a teacher to the chalkboard and one phrase, narrative essay. God, I hate narrative essays. My day was going well. I devoured a big breakfast, my brother, for once, got out of the shower quick, and no major assignment was pending. Life
