Last year, I got the amazing chance to travel to Florida with my sister. While it wasn’t the first time we’ve gone to Florida, because a lot of our family lives there, I had never gone there without my parents before, so it was a whole new, scary experience! We made so many memories while there, and I’ll always remember it for that. I had set one goal for this trip, though: to watch the 4th of July fireworks from the ocean.
Even though I set a goal for this trip, I couldn’t achieve it until the 4th of July, which was at the very end of the trip. I had 2 weeks to kill in the meantime, and I had no intention of wasting them! My great-grandma had flown to our house and back to Florida so we could take a plane instead of driving all the way there,

so we arrived there quickly, but not without some jetlag. We took the first 2 days to rest and take it easy before the fun began! Once we had recovered from the plane ride, we decided the first thing we should do is go to the beach, so we put on our bathing suits and drove there, which was super close to my great-grandma’s house!
We met a few other family members there, and we all spent most of the day there, catching up and gathering seashells. Despite the sunscreen I wore, I still managed to get sunburned.
The next day, I was extremely sore, but that wasn’t going to stop me! My sister and I went to our Aunt’s house, and she took us to the downtown area of St. Petersburg, where we had cheeseburgers for lunch and then went to a bookstore, which was definitely ideal for me. We spent a few hours in the bookstore, and pet the cat they had. After that, we went back to her house, where she took us on a boat ride from her dock. We all had a ton of fun, and it was such a great experience to ride a speedboat!
We spent the next few days alternating between the beach and the houses of our family to visit everyone before we left. We only had a few more days left to be there! I was a little sad about that, so my Aunt offered to take us on another boat ride before we left. Unfortunately, when we tried to take the boat out, the tide was low, so we got stuck in the sand! We all had to get out of the boat and push it out back into the water, at which point none of us were willing to risk going any further and having it happen again, so we turned around. We were disappointed, but better safe than
sorry! Finally, we reached the last day of our trip. It was the 4th of July, the first time I’ve spent the holiday away from my parents. Luckily my family in Florida was comforting, and we went to my Aunt’s dock again to watch the fireworks. We had a great view, and we could see the fireworks from the amusement park nearby, so we got a great show! We sat out there for hours, and I was so happy because all my hopes for the trip had come true. I wasn’t anxious to leave, and was almost disappointed when my mom got there the next day and drove us home. I’ll never forget that trip to Florida, and I hope it was as special to my family as it was to me.
My grandparents had set this whole trip up and had originally planned on joining us on this vacation. Sadly, my grandmother got diagnosed with cancer a few months before we were going. She wouldn’t be able to stay with us for a week and risk anything happening. My grandmother gave me one of those I-hope-you-have-a-good-time-but-I-wish-I-was-going-with-you looks. Even though they couldn’t be with us right on the beach, we decided to bring some of it with us! We took plastic bags to the beach one day and put sand and shells in them to take back to my grandparents. Of course, many other souvenirs were bought for them as well, including a can of sun from the Shell Factory which was a really bright idea! I really wish they would’ve come to experience everything my family had done, but we are hoping once she gets better and cancer-free, we are going to go back with
On our 10-day 'vacay' we decided to stop for a several night stay-over at a quaint town which is halfway along the Florida Keys. It's called Marathon, and I
What comes to mind when you hear the word adventure!!? Well there is a place in Florida that is guaranteed to bring out your inner kid every time you visit. This place is known as universal Orlando Florida. This is a place where you can go on vacation and have fun like never before as you did when you were a kid. On my visit to Orlando I stated at a four-star resort located inside the theme park known as Cabana Bay Beach Resort, also went to universal studios and islands of adventure were I felt like I was a kid again.
The longest I’ve ever lived in one place was the nine years that my family and I lived in
After an exhausting, but fun trip I realized that something good always comes out of something devastating. The thanksgiving break that I thought would be devastating turned out to be one of the best memories of my childhood.I learned a lot from this experience that I will carry on with the rest of my life.I also realized you have to make the most out of a situation that you don't like. This Thanksgiving Break will never be
... to the ocean to relax, socialize, and enjoy food and drinks on me. At the end of the night, everyone I had brought together was very thankful that I organized the trip because we had the chance to enjoy everyone’s company given that we do not all get to do that very often.
I took a hot shower and then my parents and I looked outside the balcony to see the outdoor section of the waterpark and there were lights everywhere. People were walking on the sidewalk and the mix of the night and all those balcony lights was beautiful. My mom gave me another shawarma sandwich for dinner and then I went to sleep.
This 4th of July I went to L.A. with my roommate to visit his family. I had been promising myself that I would go to the Queen Mary in Long Beach for the last three times I was in L.A. and this time I was determined to go. So After I had seen the fireworks at the La Verne high school.

The place where I would like to call me second home is located all the way down in Savanna Georgia. I can remember way back about nine years ago in the summer of 2008. The plane ride was a long and hot, and I spent the whole ride playing on my PSP. When I got off the plane I remembered walking through the freezing cold Savanna International Airport seeing all the flags of different countries hanging from the ceiling, but then taking one step out of the airport front doors looking for the car services that was rented and feeling the crushing 100°F heat and deathly humidity. But it is all worth the painful heat to spend time in the beautiful city.
I tried to make the best of it and participated in tubing with my family, which that day consisted of two adults, two toddlers, a baby, and myself before I got very, very stuck under the water. I did learn something I may never have otherwise, though. A little disgust can go a
They had lounge chairs and umbrellas set up; we plopped our stuff down and I ran into the ocean. The sand was soft and warm under my feet, except for some seashells. The water was much calmer compared to the Jersey Shore, with warm, gentle waves and a beautiful turquoise color, I could see to the bottom. I spent hours swimming, snorkeling, and walking on
I remember my family's first vacation. It was on November 11, 2015 on the beach in a beautiful place called Puerto Peñasco in Sonora, Mexico. Family vacations are not something a family of seven have the luxury of taking when there’s other priorities, but I knew my family and I were in desperate need of one, especially this mommy of a 2-year-old. My sister in law had planned the family vacation with two purposes, our annual family trip and to give back to the children of Sonora. The community event was called “Christmas in November”. After extending our dollars and pinching our pennies, we saved enough to join this exciting family vacation!
My most memorable family vacation took place two years ago. We went to Corsica, a French island situated in the south of France right next to Italy. I remembered waking up early excited to visit this new land. Used to take long flights, I was surprised to arrive to the destination after a one-hour flight. Even though the flight was short for me, it was stressful for my mom, she has never felt secured in a plane, probably due to the fact that she is afraid of height. When finally arrived at the destination, the dry and warm weather was there to welcome us. We all felt relief, and knew that this was the beginning of the summer. Excited, we had a lot of activities planned for the few weeks, me and my father could not wait to dive in the clear
Throughout someone’s life they will go to many places with their family, friends, another relatives. I have been on a few vacations that have made a lasting impact on my life. But one of the most memorable vacations I have experienced was with my cousins. I went to goa beach. Most of you probably don’t know about that beach but it is a very famous one in south India. I enjoyed myself to the fullest. The beach environment was enlightening. I would not have wanted to take this trip with anyone other than my cousins. We had a great time on the ocean sands and swimming in the ocean everyday made this vacation unforgettable.
