My five greatest strengths are adaptability, communication, honesty, leadership, and organization. I have utilized these strengths in so many areas of my life. I am very strong with adaptability, it's easy for me to catch on to a lot of things. If someone was to show me a particular task the right way, I will catch on with know problem. Communication is one that I plan to improve on in the future. Honesty is a strength that I have always had. I believe honest is something that I have utilized throughout my jobs, life, etc. I am usually a straight forward individual. Another one of the strengths that I use often would be leadership. The decision that I made to go to college and receive my associate's degree shows leadership. I believe this help me to be an example to my family. Per the article “Leadership is …show more content…
Once you familiarize yourself with everyone strengths, you can place them in certain areas. Placing individuals in a certain area where their strengths are most effective will help them to utilize their strengths. Some people might get strengths confused, and wonder what are strengths. As I read the chapter in the book, I now understand that strengths are talents. "A talent is a naturally recurring pattern of thoughts, feelings, or behavior that can be productively applied" (Clifton, Anderson, Schreiner, 2006, p.2). Many people learn to develop their strengths by working alongside with others. When others work together it gives them the chance to bring their talents together as one. Per the article " Individuals learn more in dialogue with the team than they can learn individually" (Boyle, 2005, p.100). I believe if organizations would allow employees to work as one; it will allow others to see things from a different perspective. If you use this method it will allow others to use the strengths and help someone else develop
Some strengths that stand out the most in my personal life are, how I love to serve and give freely to benefit others, whether it is donating money or paying close attention to events that happen to surprise my friends with little gifts, I enjoy brightening someone's day. I am known as
Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. As Roth states in Strengths Finder 2.0, we as a present day world tend to focus on and try to overcome our weaknesses rather that building up our strengths. Using our natural talents can help us do the best we can and help us be a better asset. After taking the strengths assessment, I found that my top five strengths themes ended up being: relator, discipline, competition, responsibility, and significance.
My five strengths according to the strength finder include; balance, this helps me be aware of treating all people equally regardless of the situation. I am neither in anyone 's favor or against anyone as this to me is selfishness and individualism. This would result in a situation where some people scale heights due to connections while others are lagging behind. I believe that a consistent environment where the rules apply to everyone is the best for individuals to function best (Rath, 2007). Flexibility is my next strength. By knowing that things do not always work out as planned has helped me change the tactics of how I perform my tasks. I do not always expect to have a smooth flow of opportunities or accomplish goals, but
As I’m sitting here typing this, I thought this assignment would be easy but it’s not. How do you explain who you are in a paper? Where do I begin? Well, for starters, my personality, ambitions, and what I love doing should be the best standard for defining my character. One should never be anxious if they do not know everything about themselves, as we are constantly learning and discovering new features of ourselves. Personally, I am satisfied knowing my friends are worth it and consider me an asset. I’m the shortest one in my group of friends which puts me somewhat the end of the ladder. Someone might judge me just because of the way I look or act but, if they could just get to know me even more and see my personality they can see me in a whole new way.
My top strength is Individualization. To me, this strength means the ability to figure people out and understand the true uniqueness of others. With this strength, I am able to make things run smoothly and, at the same time, able to involve everyone in a group. The next strength I have is strategic, which enables me to find alternative ways to deal with problems. Therefore, I am also able to make things run smoothly and according to plan. In addition to these two strengths, my third strength is competitive which measures how successful I am compared against others. This is great because it helps me to endure and work hard in order to make it to the top. My fourth strength is restorative which is a talent that helps me to deal with any problems that may arise and ensure that things continue going according to plan. This strength means that I can endure and overcome any adversity that comes my way. My last strength is achiever. This is a strength that helps me to work hard and always be productive. Being an achiever maintains my ability to always keep going and to constantly feel the need to be productive.
One of my greatest skills is being able to be compassionate towards others. By placing myself into someone else’s shoes, I find myself being able to better understand where other people are coming from. I am an extremely caring person that will go to great lengths for anyone. I can easily overlook the differences in other people, and this is what helps me get along with almost anyone that I come across. In order to lead people in a positive direction you need to be able to relate to them on a more personal level. It is much easier when people feel comfortable around their leader. I always like to lend a helping hand or even a shoulder to cry on when it is needed. My strengths include integrity, optimism, faith, innovation, and adaptability. These strengths are important to have in leadership positions. Leaders should have a firm hold on their beliefs and morals in order to have a positive impact on people. Keeping my commitments is crucial to me, because I am a woman of my word. I think this is a good trait in leadership, because people need to be able to count on the person that they look up to. Optimism is also something I value. I belie...
I am a person who knows how to set goals and achieve them, and have a proven track record of being able to conceive, develop and execute strategies in business and marketing. I feel certain that my strong communication skills coupled with my professional and academic abilities will be of immediate value to your company.
I would describe some of strengths as being able to define clear objectives when working in group settings whether it is in the working world or in academic settings and communicating clearly to the rest of the people in my group when I am in the lead or not. I communicate clearly to other people what I want to achieve out of working in a group, but also what I want them to achieve themselves. As a leader it is imperative that I allow other people in the group to learn and grow along with the rest of the group. I enjoy defining clear objectives when I am a leader and not a leader because it provides the rest of my peers an efficient way of working together. If the objectives are not clear and concise then the productivity of the group will
My flexibility is certainly one of my greatest strengths. I can easily move between different working styles, depending on the scenario. I have no problem trying a new idea or concept out before deciding on a final direction. I am continually exploring different options. Being a “people-person” is one of my other strengths. My excellent interpersonal skills allow for me to bring ideas, thoughts and people together. I generate enthusiasm and excitement into tasks. I feel comfortable and confident talking to others about anything that I have knowledge of.
My strengths quest test results are very helpful when planning for my future. It is often hard to assess our own values and talents on our own, so I especially appreciate this test for helping me identify them. As Craig Benson defined for us, a “talent is how you naturally feel, think, and act. To be successful from your talents you must build on them, capitalize on their uniqueness, apply them to your daily life, and continue to invent from them(Benson,2018).” Two of my strengths identified my strengths quest are restorative and woo.
First, tell me about you. What makes you interesting? Explain. The qualities that make me an interesting person is that I am open-minded and continue to seek new experiences. This allows me to connect to others easily and accept new opportunities that inadvertently enhance my personality.
My personal strengths generally involve my ability to be innovative and creative, as well as keeping an open mind. I also hold strengths that
These strengths are greatly beneficial to my overall success in my career because they allow me to be a better leader to others that I work with.
Personal Narrative: Three Things That Have Made Me the Way I Am People often describe me as an outgoing, hardworking, trusting, and energetic individual. These traits were not just given to me, but were acquired through my experiences as I grew up. Having strict parents, lead me to be hardworking. Meeting my friends gave me the energy I possess, and my lovely neighborhood in Madison Connecticut gave me the trust that is necessary as a teenager.
One of my greatest strengths at work that I have recognized would have to be my ability to be a well-organized individual. I tend to write what I have to do down on paper and prioritize what is more important to least important. In doing this, it helps me organize and accomplish my work and meet deadlines that are important. A personal strength that I have at home is patience. I am a mother of a beautiful three year old little girl who is a handful. Patience is my greatest strength as a parent and individual which I possess especially being a single mother. I am a dedicated and hard working mother and I always make sure that my daughter gets the love and attention she needs.
