June 13, 2011 was a surprising change that none of us expected As a 9 year old girl, I didn’t know whether I would have the chance to own and grow up with an animal that I could care for and spend time with, besides a fish. Me, my siblings, and my mom had always wanted one, however, specifically a dog. It was oftenly discussed at the dinner table while all of us would try to convince my dad, but it seemed as if it always went right through him. By getting the same few negative responses over and over again, we thought the days wouldnt’t come with us walking in the door after school, seeing a fluffy, lovable dog running up to us to greet us. We didn’t think we would have those moments at night where we would feel our dog laying next to us and even get annoyed by hearing loud barks during the day. One Monday afternoon is when that all changed. As you already know, it was a Monday when my parents told us to all file in into the car with just ourselves and that’s all that was needed. Not knowing where we were headed to, made the car ride seem so much longer. I can remember the hundreds of ideas running through my head in a loop of possibilities of where we could end up. I could hear every …show more content…
It was enjoyable listening to the soft noises he would make while he sprawled his body out onto my mom’s lap. This time around the car ride didn’t seem as long due to the fact that there was an engaging 9 week old dog in my car! Being home and spending time with Mac was like having your first play-date with a new friend. That first night he spent with us, he decided to fall asleep inside a laundry basket filled with our clothes. It was by far something to remember. When I saw this, it was the cutest thing ever! Every morning I felt my stomach turn because of how excited I got to play with him and feel his insanely fluffy
The racecar was not the most creative or what some would call beautifully designed. But the owner and his father worked for weeks on that little wooden block to turn it into something the ten-year-old boy could be proud to race. A previous race showed what needed to be done for a car to make it in the top five. After careful designing, sanding, painting, and graphite the car was finished.
On February 21, my mom’s friend Julie told my family that her dog Jayden had 8 puppies. Julie knew my dad liked Pit bulls and asked if we would be interested in looking at the puppies. So my parents thought about it for a week or so because the puppies were too young to take home at that moment. When the puppies were 8 weeks old my family had decided that we would love to have one of the puppies. There were 2 puppies that looked exactly the same. We chose one of the females and brought her home over Spring Break.
I cuddled my baby as close to my chest as possible, whipped the streaks of tears from his cheeks, and kissed his peach fuzz forehead. I started to hum a lullaby while rocking him in my arms. I had gotten so caught up in the moment, that before I knew it, he was fast asleep.
Play time is officially over. We carry each tired puppy to a big box my dad had made that is full of straw and sitting in our living room. We like to keep the puppies inside at night so they do not freeze outside when it becomes cool when the sun goes down. My dad goes to retrieve Remmy and she runs into the living room and hops in the box to be with her family. My dad always brings back a dog treat from the utility room to give to Remmy because she is such a good mother to them and she can never get enough
The day started off like any average day, I took a hot shower, got dressed and got prepared for the day. It wasn’t until I sat down and started eating my bowl full of cheerios with extra sugar, that I realized what was actually happening. Today would be the day I finally bought my first car, after a year of hard work and conservative economic decisions.
Dog’s have been man’s best friend for thousands of years and will continue to be alongside mankind until one of the species ceases to exist. Dogs have been alongside man since they were first domesticated from wolves 15,000 years ago (Allan, 2010). This domestication has led to dogs being intertwined with everyday life for many humans. People use dogs as workers, companions, and guardians. To some people dogs are just as much a part of the family as the children. Some people even choose to have dogs instead of children. This may be for various reasons, such as cost, time availability, or just preference. Without dogs, many people’s lives would be significantly worse because pets have an impact in their owner’s life, whether this is positive or negative. Dogs can be friends and family, or dogs can be a leader to the blind. They can be used to brighten a sick child’s day, or...
The day you get your first car is like christmas morning for a kid. You are so ecstatic that you almost can not control yourself. But when you do get a car, you know, freedom is at your fingertips. This memory start in the middle of May. I have had my permit for a few months then, so I could drive. My dad said he wanted to help me get a car if I paid for gas and insurance. That is when I started searching Craigslist. I knew I wanted something with four wheel drive, and something that got decent gas mileage. I really liked old Ford Broncos at the time, but they got horrible gas milage, so that was off the table. My next choice was a 1985 toyota 4runner. They had great gas mileage, and good four wheel drive. I happened to be at my aunt and uncle’s house when my uncle said
We had a great time putting it together and he watched me edit it, and when my parents came home they were thrilled because we were able to find some mutually entertaining thing to do.
Peanut butter sandwiches were a special treat he received for his birthday. Considering he was not going to have another birthday, I gave him his sandwich a little bit early. I wore a bracelet that matched his collar, so on the inside of his collar I wrote him a little note. We snuggled all that night and most of the following day until my mom got home and it was time.
When everyone in town found out about the noise of the puppies, they were very surprised. People started to visit the puppies, and saw that their eyes were open, they could run and jump, and they made lots of noise! They were yellow, and had white spots on their paws, just like Hattie. Suddenly, everyone in town wanted one of Hattie's puppies!
Waking up at six thirty on a Saturday morning is not something I am used to. On this unusual sunrise I needed to take Keltie, my older sister Tamara’s dog, outside. When my alarm went off Keltie, a medium sized, brown dog with a white spot on his chest, laid between my legs with his narrow head on my left thigh. I stayed there for a few minutes waiting for the haze that waking up brings. As that alleviates, I reached over to my bed side table to get my glasses, Keltie reacted to this by hitting my ankles with his tail. He stopped wagging his tail and sat up, staring at me with his large, brown eyes. After a couple of seconds, he began to wag his tail again. There was not a long period of that before he laid down again, licking his right leg
When we got home, Archie was bouncing off the walls after a long nap in the car. He was a curious little puppy and everything seemed to interest him. He wanted to explore the house-- but it was way too late and everyone was pooped. We brought out the big cage we bought for Archie and put a big brown bed and some chew toys in it and it looked like a doggy sleeping paradise. That’s at least what I thought, but Archie had a different perspective of that

..., and none of it was as impressive or as interesting as the furry cat on the couch, not to mention the personal escort to and from the car to the door from the sweet, polite, black lab outside. But I can't really blame my guests, for Charlie and Vegas' cute faces and gestures worked their magic on me as well. And more times than naught, they got what they wanted in life.
