There was Nick the smartest person known to live at West Point middle school. The most cocky kid in school AJ he 's the one you want on your team if u want to win and trust me if he doesn 't win you want to stay away from him. The one that was known as the runt was Landon but he was just a little small for is age but with these three friends they could do anything and everything. The three of them stopes found a good place to eat. Them they went to see what there moms had packed. It was there favorite three Big Mac 's just what they wanted. But they were in need of water so they kept going. We kept walking and walking but it took for ever. Well at least it seemed like it. It had been about 2 hours since we ate and we were in need of water. Other wise we could die from it like every one else. But then we found this little water fall the lead to a big pond. The bast part was the water was the clearest I had ever seen. So we didn 't have to defect it or anything. All of us were really thirsty. We were at that water hole for a half hour until everyone was filled up with water and we saved some in are water bottles so we could have more if that was the only one we found in the forest. It was almost night so we had to stop and find shelter. Or make something to last us one night. So we found a near by cave and stayed there but it was hard to sleep because the bats would never be quite. Probably because they are nocturnal. I 'm just glad that we didn 't find another bear. But we all know who would get to try and kill it first this time. We pulled out r sleeping bags and went to sleep on dirt. Not the most comfortable thing but we had to make do. It was morning and we had to keep …show more content…
I thought we were close to getting out but them I climbed up a tree and saw that I was wrong. We need to go north. I saw a little rustic old cabin up that way. And that was the closest point of exit. Which at that point was the best way to go. But up north the forest look even thicker which was not good. There was fruit and meat that would be a good kill so we could eat. So off we went. The only way now to tell days was the sun but even at some points we couldn 't see it. We hit a down hill point so we grabbed drift wood. It would save man power and be faster to sled down. The rest helped Landon out the most because he was the smallest so he didn 't have energy left to use. But this refreshed him so we could keep going. Time was not on are side. The only thing keeping us alive was the fact that if we got out we would be the first ones ever to make it out not dead. It was about the hottest point in the day now and we had to find shade or we would get to dehydrated and die. We drank all the water we had just to fine out that we had a under ground stream below
There is a scene in this movie where the coach takes the team on a long run in the middle of the night. They end up at the break of dawn at a cemetery. We were so excited when we saw the campfire was lit and and next to it were a giant back of marshmallows to make s'mores. When we all gathered around the fire and we were all into our third or second s’more my dad told us he was gonna tell a story about a ghost that lived in the campsite. We all gathered close and closer to the campfire as he got deeper into the story. We could feel chills flow through out arms and legs filling us with hope he was just trying to scare us, but when we heard a loud crashing and snapping of a tree go crashing down near the river we all jumped. We all thought that tree fell because the story was true and there was some ghost that was out to get us.
Surprisingly, our parents had beaten us to the top and we all stopped in awe, mesmerized by the great waterfall in front of us. My mouth felt like the Sahara desert. I vividly remember reaching for the chilling water bottle that hid underneath the tons of clothes stuffed in my father’s black backpack to quench my thirst. I took off my beaten down shoes and stinky socks covered in dirt from the trail and blood from the blisters on my feet and dove into the refreshing lake. After swimming through the lake for a few seconds, I abruptly jumped out of the freezing water. My toes turned into a blue that reminded me of the blueberry muffins from breakfast that morning. My body shivered as I exited the lake and threw on a warm towel over my shoulders. Gradually my body heat increased, escaping the risk of hypothermia. At that point, I just wanted to go home. My family and I gathered all our belongings and I dragged my energyless body into the large, gray shuttle. The shuttle smelled of sweat from previous passengers. It drove us down a rough, bumpy trail, causing my tall father to constantly slam his head on the roof of the car. After we finally got back to our hotel, we all let off a sigh of
The three men faced childhood difficulties and they all was into robbing kids and selling drugs at one point. They all was successful men and some of it had to do with
We arrived in Lake Oswego and as a group decided to head to a popular place known as barrels. Barrels is roughly 40 feet above the water. Lots of people were there and it was a fun time. After a few minutes of standing around, I decided to make the plunge. Slowly, I climbed on top of the railing and looked over the sparkling blue water below. Inside my head, I counted down from five and my feet left the earth and were gliding through the air rapidly towards the water. My feet hit the water and shock overcame my body. The icy water chilled me as I clawed to reach the surface. As I hit the surface of the water, I smiled. I had conquered the first jump and I knew I could survive twenty-five more feet.
I awoke in the forest. It was evening, the sun had long set. The smell of the woods surrounded me, almost suffocating me with the musk. I gazed before me as I stood, no lights, no way to see the path. I was lost, the thick trees blocking any light that might guide me. I began to walk slowly, watching each step carefully. The silence pressed against my ears, it was deafening. My eyes began to adjust to the pressing darkness with each step, and I noticed I was in a large clearing. Fear gripped me, how I gotten here or, why, I did not know.
It was a two-day hike but when we finally arrived he had a feast our new neighbors to celebrate our independence from the corrupt government in the city. I explained to them why I left the city. In the morning everyone got to work building houses and hunting. Gaea and I only had enough food for ourselves, so we set at to find a source of food for the rest of our colony. We found a large pond, a couple hours walk from our house, that could be
...light arose, my eyes began to squint shut trying to block the sunlight drifting in. I failed and immediately woke up opening my red watery burning eyes. David ran through the rough edged sedimentary grey rocks and through the bright green leaves of the trees with an idea. “To get rescued we should make a large SOS sign with rocks so that the planes flying from above can see it” he said. I thought the idea was incredible, so we all came together placing rock after rock deeply in the wet sparkly sludge like sand. After a long hardworking 12 hours we were finally finished. As we waited anxiously day after day for rescue we finally received it. Fifteen days later a enormous smooth plane landed on the island. As the plane slowly lifted off the almond colored ground making a turbo noise, I felt that we all learned in any situation that we need to stick together to survive.
As I walk even farther down the winding trail, I can see the cabin in the distance. It appears as if the sun is only shining on the cabin itself. As I get closer, I get the redolence of home made apple pie. This is the exact moment that I forgot about everything else that existed and began to wonder, “Am I still on Earth?”
We still had another problem to deal with. We were lost. This felt like the toughest day of my life. On the other hand, it was also a fun experience because I kind of overcame my fear of water since I saved Richie and fought my way through the current. Next, we just realized that we found the camp.
How to survive in the woods Imagine going through the woods having a nice evening stroll, but then you realize that you do not know how to get back to your camp. This could be interesting but since you are not sure on what to do for anything like starting a fire, food or water. Just like you over 2,ooo people a year get lost in the woods. A major thing you will need to do is find water otherwise you will perish in three days if you are without water. You will need some help on working through this problem you are in.
One was named Tim and the other Derrick, and I wanted to be like them. It
We ran rapidly assuming and thinking the worst possible outcome. When we got to the wooded area would could hear the crunch of the dead leaves and twigs as we ran and still in shock, I took the wrong path which was the longest to reach my father. When we arrive, my father was white as can be. We called for an ATV to come to pick my father up and take him back to the lake house. While we all waited, we were trying to keep my father calm and not letting him pass out from shock.
By the time we got everything sorted out it was late at night and we had to set up camp. While scouring the beach for any more survivors, we managed to find a large piece of wood, a tarp, some netting, and a box. Because I couldn't help much, due to my broken arm I had to let Tyson, Elizabeth, and my Dad set up a shelter. They managed to find two trees that were close to each other and put the piece of wood in between them. Then they took the tarp, draped it over the wood, and placed rocks on both ends of the tarp to hold it down.
“Why don’t you use your locker? You’re going to have back problems before you even graduate”. These are words that are repeated to me daily, almost like clockwork. I carry my twenty-pound backpack, full of papers upon papers from my AP classes. The middle pouch of my backpack houses my book in which I get lost to distract me from my unrelenting stress. The top pouch holds several erasers, foreshadowing the mistakes I will make - and extra lead, to combat and mend these mistakes. Thick, wordy textbooks full of knowledge that has yet to become engraved in my brain, dig the straps of my backpack into my shoulders. This feeling, ironically enough, gives me relief - my potential and future success reside in my folders and on the pages of my notebooks.
