When I stepped into the large neatly organized white polished plane, I never though something would go wrong. I woke up and found myself on an extremely hot bright sunny desert island filled with shiny soft bright green palm trees containing rough bright yellow hard felt juicy apples. The simple strong plane I was in earlier shattered into little pieces of broken glass and metal when crashing onto the wet slimy coffee colored sand and burning with red orange colored flames. After my realization to this heart throbbing incident I began to run pressing my eight inch footsteps into the wet squishy slimy light brown sand looking in every direction with my wide open eyes filled with confusion in search of other survivors. After finding four other survivors we began moving our small petite weak legs fifty inches from the painful incident. Reaching our destination which was a tiny space filled with dark shade blocking the extreme heat coming from the bright blue sky, I felt my eyelids slowly moving down my light colored hazel eyes and found myself in a dream. I was awakened the next day from a grumbling noise coming from my empty stomach. My pale, toned long shapely legs swiveled through the dry hard burning hot sand to a beautiful lime leaved tree. I saw bright fresh green apples, they were smooth and extremely moist. The juice dripped into my mouth forcing me to taste the mixture of sour and sweetness. As I looked down this long wide rocky path I saw thousands of shimmering apple trees. Stretching my hand I pulled a numerous amounts of fresh apples from the rough dark brown pokey tree branch. Acting as the leader, I grabbed each hand picked apple and placed it in the swollen sweaty palms of each survivor. I failed and immediately woke up opening my red watery burning eyes. David ran through the rough edged sedimentary grey rocks and through the bright green leaves of the trees with an idea. “To get rescued we should make a large SOS sign with rocks so that the planes flying from above can see it” he said. I thought the idea was incredible, so we all came together placing rock after rock deeply in the wet sparkly sludge like sand. After a long hardworking 12 hours we were finally finished. As we waited anxiously day after day for rescue we finally received it. Fifteen days later a enormous smooth plane landed on the island. As the plane slowly lifted off the almond colored ground making a turbo noise, I felt that we all learned in any situation that we need to stick together to survive.
On the 25th of September 1999, Big Island Air Flight 58 Piper Chieftain, crashed on a slope of the Mauna Loa Volcano in Hawaii at approximately 5:30pm. All nine of the passengers on board and the pilot were killed in the crash. The impact sustained by the airplane and the fire that followed the impact completely destroyed the airplane. Big Island Air Flight 58 was operating under CFR Part 135 air taxi operations providing sight seeing tours to tourists and locals. The Piper Chieftain had departed from Keahole – Kona International Airport, Kona Hawaii (KOA) at around 4:22pm. The airport reported that there were visual meteorological conditions that existed prior to the planes departure. The pilot had filed a proper visual flight rules (VFR) flight plane prior to his departure. The investigation that followed performed by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) had determined that instrument conditions existed in the area of the crash site.
On November 28, 2004 at about 10:00 a.m. mountain standard time, a Canadair (now Bombardier) CL-600-2A12 (Challenger 600), tail number N873G, crashed into the ground during takeoff at Montrose Regional Airport (MJT), Montrose, Colorado. The aircraft was registered to Hop-a-Jet, Inc., and operated by Air Castle Corporation doing business as Global Aviation. Of the six passengers on board, three died from fatal injuries and the other three sustained major injuries. The aircraft was totaled due to the impact with the ground and a post-crash fire.
I thought we were close to getting out but them I climbed up a tree and saw that I was wrong. We need to go north. I saw a little rustic old cabin up that way. And that was the closest point of exit. Which at that point was the best way to go. But up north the forest look even thicker which was not good. There was fruit and meat that would be a good kill so we could eat. So off we went. The only way now to tell days was the sun but even at some points we couldn 't see it.
The cold chill was blazing on me and my shoe gently began to pull out a tear. I thought about Candy and the other guys. Hopefully, I made the right choice. The sun came down and I ended up in a deserted river. Slowly, I began to regain where I was, and I opened my eyes in disbelief.

However, you sit on the runway for six hours waiting only to find out that you cannot leave. This was the tragic realization for many passengers who choose to fly with JetBlue on February 13, 2008 (Hanna). On that day, only 17 of the 156 flights scheduled left the airport (Hanna). More and more flights were canceled over the course of a week, leading to 1,096 flights in all and more than 130,000 angry customers (Smith). Finally, on February 20th flights resumed as usual but as you can imagine there were a lot of unhappy customers to deal with (Hanna).
Everything started a few years ago. It was a warm and beautiful night in Africa; the dark blue sky was full of stars… and those were the last things I remember before I woke up in a cold and wet floor. I do not know where I was, or why I my hands were tight behind my back.

Surprisingly, our parents had beaten us to the top and we all stopped in awe, mesmerized by the great waterfall in front of us. My mouth felt like the Sahara desert. I vividly remember reaching for the chilling water bottle that hid underneath the tons of clothes stuffed in my father’s black backpack to quench my thirst. I took off my beaten down shoes and stinky socks covered in dirt from the trail and blood from the blisters on my feet and dove into the refreshing lake. After swimming through the lake for a few seconds, I abruptly jumped out of the freezing water. My toes turned into a blue that reminded me of the blueberry muffins from breakfast that morning. My body shivered as I exited the lake and threw on a warm towel over my shoulders. Gradually my body heat increased, escaping the risk of hypothermia. At that point, I just wanted to go home. My family and I gathered all our belongings and I dragged my energyless body into the large, gray shuttle. The shuttle smelled of sweat from previous passengers. I turned off the car and took a deep breath. Looking slowly up into the pink sky, I began to watch the golden sun go to sleep. The beach seemed deserted, quiet, but peaceful. I opened my door and put my feet out on the soft sand. I started taking my shoes off, then my socks. I threw them in the passenger seat, and then shut the door. I looked out over horizon of the lake and started walking towards the still water. With each step I took, I could feel the warm sand crunch between my toes. It is the investigators job to determine why the accident happened, and who or what was at fault.
