One of the great ways to learn about the world around us is to take a trip.
I recently took a road trip with my aunt from Roanoke, Virginia to Toronto, Canada. It was an amazing experience to visit where my family originated. We started our trip and made our way to Canada overnight. Unfortunately, since it was at night we were unable to see anything. We did however, get to have time to talk and get to know each other a little better.
After a long drive, we finally made it to our destination, Canada. After resting a few hours at my aunt’s house in Milton, we were ready to become tourists for a few days. Our first stop was Niagara Falls just north of the Canada border.
Niagara Falls is the largest waterfall by volume in North America. It is one of the largest tourist attractions in North America. Even though it was extremely busy, it was totally worth the trip. While there we were able to walk around and see some of the area. Along with the falls, they have great places for those wanting to shop, as well as, places that have some great tasting food. On our way home from Niagara, we stopped off at my favorite restaurant, Swiss Chalet. This franchise is based only in Canada which makes it a must stop place to eat for my family. In my opinion, their chicken and special sauce is the best way to have a great

We went to the C&E, which is a carnival held yearly just outside of downtown Toronto. While there we had the opportunity to see a Canadian airshow. It wasn’t as amazing as some airshows I have seen in the past, however, it was still a good show. I was excited to see one of my favorite aircraft, the F-22 Raptor. They also had a P-51 Mustang, a Canadian military helicopter, and the Canadian air demonstration team. After the show, we were able to take in some of the sights and try some carnival foods. I have never heard of an apple pie Sunday, nevertheless, it was amazingly
Bonjour, la famille! I know that around this time that we are supposed to be moving to a different house, but I wanted to let you know that maybe it could be possible if we move to a different country. I know this sounds like a lot, and the answer is probably no, because there would be so much for us to have to get used to. But I was thinking… what if we moved to Canada? It would be closest to the United States, so we could get passports & come visit family and friends. Also, I learned about this thing in Civics called Gross Domestic Product (GPD). It is the calculation of the Market values. The Gross Domestic product for Canada is approximately $1.573 trillion (2015 est.). Wow! That’s a lot! The Gross Domestic Product, though, per capita,
“Difficult roads often lead to the beautiful destination”. 28 July 2017, I came here in Canada from India. In India for me was coming to Canada exciting with many dreams in my eyes. Before coming here in Canada I thought that everyone living here has a voice and freedom to speak. Also, girls are treated equally to boys without any discrimination. Girls have equal rights and opportunities as men, but the English were a big problem. I never had to speak in English in India there was no language barrier in India. I realized in India I can express my feeling without thinking that it will be embarrassing if I will talk with others. All of the above, I had to make new friends all over again. After starting my school in Canada, my excitement was all
Growing up in Canada around a variety of remarkable cultures has helped me see the world in a different way. It gives me a more visual, mental, and emotional way being able to view the world. Being around the multicultural nature of this country has not only led me to learn more about other cultures but has helped me mold the culture I grew up around at home in my individual way. As I mature I have come to realize how growing up around many cultures and myparentsPakistani culture has helped “shaped the sight of my own particular eyes” from those of my parents and ancestors.
To me, travelling and going on road trips are my favourites things to do during summer with my friends. It’s a time to unwind, and the best time to go is right when school is over, so you can forget all those exams you wrote and just relax. Canada is known for it’s naturistic locations, and in fact as stated in lecture; many Canadians think of physical landscapes as central to their identity as Canadians” (Mackintosh, 2017, Week 5, Slide 1). I think this is because Canada is known to have some of the most beautiful places on Earth, and yes other people can argue the opposite, that there are much nicer places out there, but I have travelled quite a lot, and a few places are; Argentina, Sweden, Australia and even France, and I can honestly say that Canada still has some of the most beautiful places. The reason I think this is because of social geography which is defined as, the study of social processes as they are constituted in and by the spaces and places in which they occur (Mackintosh, 2017, Week 7, Slide 4). For me, the locations also have to do with the people who live there and the places that my friends and I travelled to, the people in each city recognized that we were tourist, and they were so friendly about that. They took us on tours to see the latest attractions, they helped us out with the language, (some places spoke French) and some even took their time to explain in general about their daily lifestyles, their beliefs in religion (social factors) and only because we were interested in knowing and the fact that they didn’t mind at all. This just made the experience much better, knowing that wherever you go in Canada, there are those people who are willing to help this much (this is in my view, from my experience, and in the other countries people were not as nice to help out, not even
Many events have occurred in my life, although a few have changed my life to how it is today. Growing up I realized how moving to Canada, coming to Milton and getting a baby sister are moments which have had a significant impact on my life. They showed me a completely different atmosphere, got my work recognized and made me more mature, thus, helping me get countless new opportunities and responsibilities.
Vacations aren't always perfect there is always something that goes wrong. At least in my experiences. A perfect vacation to me is when we are all together as a family, which honestly doesn't happen that much. Having a 20 year old brother an 18 year old in post secondary school can make things complicated. Or having a vacation with no,ILLNESS, which can be very, very hard to do!! And I know I’m not the only one who has experienced this on a vacation!
America, Almost every single person on earth has a dream of living in a country full of freedom, liberty, and opportunity. The United States has been providing these benefits ever since it was founded a few hundred years ago. So when I found out that my family would be coming to America, I had already started planning my future of growing up here. Just like any other person, I was feeling enthusiastic and a little nervous of leaving my native country and coming to America to start a better life. I was completely lost in my thoughts of happiness, that I became unaware of all the difficulties that my family and I would face once we step into our new lives. Among these difficulties were the change of language, change of system, and the variety of different cultures.
My trip was wonderful I think it was the best one I 've had down to the low country to date. We went with Sam 's best friends parents whom we love and according to them they have adopted us as their other children. They 're just really fun to be around and we all have a lot in common and the same ideas about life so we all got along really well. The woman Amy got her first deer ever a doe

Who I am today and my story all started to form from the day I sat on a plane to the Great White North back on September 16, 2001. My family’s journey to Canada was a rough trip. We were all alone in a new world ready to start all over, with no language skills fitted for the place or a place to stay. Back then it was only; baby me at the age of two, my bigger brother David who was just turning six and my two lovable parents. However, we made it, moving to Toronto, Ontario. We all managed to find our places in the world until we got suggested to move due to legal reasons a place called Saskatchewan, they told us Saskatoon would be a good place due to it being small and friendly, so we did as we were told. Saskatoon turned out to be just as good
bad as I expected it to be. The queue seemed to flow by. Like fish in
The falls serve as a border between the U.S. (New York) and Canada (Ontario). The falls actually consist of the American Bridal Veil Falls and the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, collectively called Niagara. They were created 12,000 years ago when large glaciers retreated allowing the Niagara River to flow over large sections of rock. There are several ways to view the falls, but perhaps the best way to observe the splendor and majesty of Niagara Falls is through a tour. Our tour guide directed us through many of the unseen attractions including the man-made tunnels behind the falls. Here, several
Going on a road trip with my family means the world to me. We drove to another state during summer vacation, and it was by far the best road trip I have ever been on. My family and I were able to go to many fun places. We ate so many exotic and delicious foods as well. Yet most importantly, I spent time with my family and their friends. It was the day when my family and I went to California for our summer vacation.
Throughout someone’s life they will go to many places with their family, friends, another relatives. I have been on a few vacations that have made a lasting impact on my life. But one of the most memorable vacations I have experienced was with my cousins. I went to goa beach. Most of you probably don’t know about that beach but it is a very famous one in south India. I enjoyed myself to the fullest. The beach environment was enlightening. I would not have wanted to take this trip with anyone other than my cousins. We had a great time on the ocean sands and swimming in the ocean everyday made this vacation unforgettable.
There is nothing quite like traveling, going someplace new and finding out more about the world and yourself. Anyone can become a traveler it just takes a little bit of faith and courage. Traveling across the world or even across the country is a learning experience. When you are a traveler you see how people live and how different cultures work. It is the best educational experience you could give yourself. You see how the world works in a way no one can teach you. Seeing different cultures and people help build the person you want to be. If you are a traveler the world influences you, because when traveling, you see the good and the bad, and you learn from the right and the wrong. I am very lucky that I am able to be a traveler and see this
