“Angelina I beg of you, please eat the kibbles,” I plead to her as she lays restless with tired eyes and immense stubbornness on the rug closest to the door, refusing to be anywhere near cooperative. “Woof!” she responds stubbornly. This behavior was quite unlike her, as she was usually a cooperative and reasonable dog, so I was quite alarmed when she did not enjoy her kibbles. I attempted to reason with her for a few more minutes and I then I eventually gave in then proceeding to call my mother for assistance. “Mother, Angelina refuses to eat her kibbles and she has not left this spot for the past hour,” glancing downwards towards the small, fluffy, white dog, I continue, “Can you call Doctor Kensik to examine her?” My mother studied …show more content…
When we were in the examination room, the assistant checked her vitals, took her blood pressure, weighed and measured her, and finally the assistant was finished, so she would get Doctor Kensik. “Good morning, how are you all this morning? Was the journey long?” Doctor Kensik asked my mother and I. “I could be better. It was just shared with me that my dog could potentially have a cancer in her liver. I do hope that is not the case,” I respond with a dismal face. “I know this is difficult, but I will be sure to do a complete examination involving blood and urine samples before I make a concrete diagnosis,” she states in a professional manner, “Do explain her symptoms.” “She had a very small appetite about two days ago. She has seemed to have lost some weight due to her lacking diet. Also, she had blood in her urine when I took her outside to for a walk yesterday. She has not been as active as she normally is and is sleeping quite a bit. In Craig-5 addition to all of this, she has been vomiting and seems to be in excruciating pain. I was quite concerned, so I figured that we should come see you as soon as

Discuss the Kaysen's symptoms that indicated she needed help. Are these severe enough that she needed to be hospitalized?
I escorted her to a room, and helped her change into a gown. I understand that a 22-year old is capable of changing her own clothes, but I wanted to spend more time with her for further investigation. Auscultation of the lungs revealed bilateral clear and equal breath sounds, and heart tones were audible and regular. No peripheral edema was noted upon examination of her lower extremities, and she denied a history of similar symptoms or any medical issues in the past. Again, my nursing experience was challenged. Everything looked great, except this feeling remained that something was wrong. ER was busy that day, so I put in on order for a chest x-ray, and then told the doctor why she wanted to be seen. I told him that I ordered an x-ray, but something was not right about her skin color, not jaundiced, swallow, or cyanotic just not right, and I asked for basic lab work. The doctor felt lab work was not needed at that time, and I did not push the issue. I just thought to myself, “maybe he is right, and I have worked too many days in a row”. When the patient returned from the x-ray department, I met her at the room. I asked how
the treatment and expressing concern for her health and distress. She also advocated for Dr.
"She's not normally a friendly little thing. She usually barks and snarls at anyone who comes close. She wasn't supposed to be in this crate, but
Waking up at six thirty on a Saturday morning is not something I am used to. On this unusual sunrise I needed to take Keltie, my older sister Tamara’s dog, outside. When my alarm went off Keltie, a medium sized, brown dog with a white spot on his chest, laid between my legs with his narrow head on my left thigh. I stayed there for a few minutes waiting for the haze that waking up brings. As that alleviates, I reached over to my bed side table to get my glasses, Keltie reacted to this by hitting my ankles with his tail. He stopped wagging his tail and sat up, staring at me with his large, brown eyes. After a couple of seconds, he began to wag his tail again. There was not a long period of that before he laid down again, licking his right leg
Days past and nothing from dad and Jack not getting better. I get extremely tired and sick. After many hours, there is a knock on the door and I realize that dad came home. I jumped up in joy and hugged him. He looked a lot better. “Hello. I missed you guys so much!!” dad says.
“Son,” Dr. James said. “Tell your mother I will be home soon. I am just leaving the office now.”

“That goodness you are ok, honey!” My mom exclaimed, “We were so worried about you and your friends. Under those circumstances, I am so glad you are all
“All of her tests came back normal. There isn’t swelling or anything else to cause concern. I doubt she’ll vomit anymore and I was going to say she’ll probably be fatigued for a few days, but I don’t think that’s in her nature,” Dr. Monroe said as he smiled down at her.
“Well mam when we find the owners of this dog we are going to need to put it down it has attacked others and we have given the owners multiple warnings.”
The patient has also been suffering from frequent fevers in the past two months. He has also suffered from frequent headaches but has always taken painkillers (Bloland & Williams, 2003, p. 58). On fevers, the patient has frequently visited a local health clinic that has never done any diagnosis but has given medication, which reduces the fever.
A little over four years ago my younger sister became very ill almost overnight. She has always been a very active athletic playing every sport imaginable. What seemed to surely be a virus soon proved to be much bigger. The doctors were perplexed and seemed to be almost guessing. Everything from a brain lesion to the C word cancer was given as options. Doctors would receive a referral and want to see her as she was a barely watching question mark. 53 doctors to date have evaluated my sister and that number might be a little low.
