I was trying hard not to think about Goose. I twisted my fingers together to try and calm myself down. My heart was beating fast, then the noise stopped. I didn't want to know what was going on. “ Wake up pumpkin” my mother had her hand on my shoulder trying to wake me up. She picked up a few boxes as she left my room. My bed was like a cloud it was hard to get out of bed when you slept with a million stuffed teddy bears. When I finally did get out of bed the floor was ice cold against my bare feet. I ran into the living room, then halted for a stop as soon as I saw those ginormous deep brown eyes. “Click clack click clack” Goose’s nails on the wood floor always made that noise. He was walking towards me wagging his big tail. “ Oh my Goosey Goosey” …show more content…
Now I was sitting in my room all alone thinking about Goose. I started to think about the last time he got out. It was when my mom was at work and when she got home, she received a call from the pound that she needs to come pick up her dog. When we arrived the place was filled with the smell of dog shampoo and wet dog. When they brought out Goose he was so happy he peed on the cold tile floor. Thinking of that made me giggle. I stopped thinking about that time when I heard nothing all the growls and barks had finally stopped. I ran out of my room breaking my mom’s promise to stay put. My heart felt heavy as I cracked the door open to listen to what they were talking about. “That dog doesn’t belong to me officer” my mother stated. “Well mam when we find the owners of this dog we are going to need to put it down it has attacked others and we have given the owners multiple warnings.” I could hear my mom talking to a strange man which later I found out it was a cop. My uncle came into the house and told me to go play in my room for a while. I asked him about
We were interrupted by a phone call from my dad. My mom was still joking and in a silly mood when she started talking to my dad. Suddenly the conversation turned from joking to dead silence and my mom started crying. She tearfully asked, "Is she ok? Was she alone?" I was thinking my sister went riding and fell off her horse or that something had happened to my grandma.
One day I wished to visit the snowman in my snowglobe upon a shooting star. I awoke in a gingerbread house in a snowglobe filled with water. Rising slowly, a cold hand grabbed the back of my leg and dragged me down. I kick then the hand released gasping for air at the top were the air bubble was. I looked down and sow the snowman trying to come after me, but weighed down by his size.
However by that time I had lost all interest with what she was saying. Everything had become soundless because had I already started unlatching the create. All my interest was on the puppy. At first he was a little scared and didn’t want to come out. I repeatedly tried to pull him out which only helped with scaring him even more. I forgot all about my bad day and was so happy to have a puppy. All I wanted to do was play with Tucker constantly. In our house for the rest of the day all you could hear was barking and laughing. I was only five at the time and didn’t know how to play with Tucker. I just ended up hugging the little him a lot. Tucker was as small as a large mango. He could literally sit in my mother’s
“You seen what they done to my dog tonight? They says he wasn't no good to
Dusk falls upon the neighborhood. A middle-aged man, with a flashlight in his hand, is running down the street. He is clean-shaven but has messy brown hair. He wears nice dress pants and a blue button up shirt. The sleeves are rolled up, and there are wet sweat marks under his arms and on his chest. He desperately searches in all directions as he runs. He looks behind a bush. He looks behind a parked car. He continues frantically down the street.
We got back adventuring and we found a dog. The dog didn’t have a collar or anything, he wasn’t dirty either. This dog we took him along with us and he loved that he had seen people. When we started to head back to the house, he came with and we fed him. That night while everyone was asleep, I looked to see if the dog was still here and he had left. I went back to bed and didn’t tell anyone that the dog was gone.
It was a dark and sinister night at Paris. I stroll down the street of Paris, knowing not the horror that lies in front of me. The street is empty and clouds hung oppressively low. At length, I came about an insufferably gloomy castle. I have come to this house to entertain my master, due to the banquet that will occur tonight. Although I am a professional jester, my master often times maltreated me and called me a fool. I believe the name “hop-frog” is what he calls me, because I am dwarf and crippled. Nevertheless, I approach to my master, greeting him and his guests.
I had spent the night at a friend’s house and I couldn’t sleep so I called my mom to come get me and bring me home. On our way home I talked to her about how I wasn’t comfortable sleeping away from home and how it scared me. When we got home I rushed to the door because my grandma and my little sister Alyssa were waiting for me. As I opened the front door I could hear screaming and voices I had never heard before. My heart started racing and I couldn’t think about anything but that I wanted to see what was going on. I shoved the front door open and my mom rushed to be behind me. As we walked into the house I was my grandmother screaming at someone and hiding my little sister behind her. Alyssa looked terrified like she was being attacked. My mom
My father's eyes opened, and he called out for my sister Kelly and I to come to him. In a very serious and sad voice, he told us that he was very sick, and he was going to the Fort Wayne hospital. My mother told Kelly and I to help her pack some things for him, because he was going to be leaving soon. We helped her pack, keeping quiet because we did not want to interrupt the silence that had taken over the room.
I remember being woken up by my dad who was calling my name and telling me he had to take my mother to the hospital. He also made sure to tell me that my aunt had come to watch my brothers and I until they got back from the hospital. I left the warmth of my bed to go out into the hallway stepping on the cold wooden floor with my bare feet. From the dark unlit hallway I could see the flickering glow of the TV. Out of curiosity I immediately went to go see what my aunt was watching. When I got into the living room I saw her flipping through the channels until she suddenly came to a stop. A smile came across my aunt’s face as soon as she saw the movie title. She asked me if I wanted to watch the movie Chucky and I said yes. Although at the time I had no idea what the movie was about but if I did I would have never agreed to watch the movie.
Squeaky had been a part of the family for as long as I could remember. She was with me since I was two and a half years old. At that time in my life, I didn't see Squeaky as anything but another play toy. But as I grew older, I saw that she was much more than a toy. In March of 1991, we moved. The adults in the family were busy packing things up and transporting them to the new house. My grandma was entertaining my sister and me. After the last load was unpacked, Mom realized that Squeaky wasn't at the new house. My cousins jumped in the car and went back to pick up my very frightened cat. Once she was in the new house, she immediately darted upstairs. She found comfort among my belongings. There she stayed until my aunts and uncles left. When she realized it was only my immediate family left, she began to wander about. She made sure all of our stuff had made it safely. She seemed to understand that this was to be our new home and gave her approval.
A month later they arrived. It was early morning, the sun wasn’t out. They knocked, yelling for the door to be open. My mom rushed to us, giving us directions. Dad went to get his gun. The house was woken up by screaming and yelling. Then a flash of light, and suddenly, noise. Everywhere there was noise. We screamed.
After a long week away at work, I return home to my babies. In such great spirits, they run to me and all I can see are their ears fluttering like butterflies in an afternoon breeze. As playful as a child, they jump on top of me as my fingers graze over their ears, so soft and fluffy like rabbit tails. Their love is like that of a baby so pure and innocent. As the day ended we were left with an aroma of peacefulness, as night took over, I lay myself down for bed with Lola and Boa, all I could see was little glow bugs in the dark gleaming at me as their cries echoed through the night air. In the background I could hear thump, thump, and thump, as their tails sway up and down on the bed.
When I was around 8 years old, me and my sister a huge argument about us going somewhere(I don’t exactly remember the two places) and we both didn’t like where eachother wanted to go, so we were screaming throughout the whole entire house. This was not what we needed to be doing because as a kid, you always want something that your sibling doesn’t want to do. My parents were outside working on something in the garage when all of this was going down, so they were not able to hear us arguing and fighting. As we were arguing, my sister goes storming off to her room and starts to scream and that’s is when my parents heard the sound of the scream and came inside and see what happened. My parents heard my sister crying and knew that she as either very angry or upset so I knew they were going to talk to me first, but they wouldn’t be happy. My
The next sunrise we were back at this place I use to call “home”. As soon as I walked into the cave, Momma and Father started growling at me.
