When John and I first meet Mr.Pignati, we had a combination of emotions. Surprised at how happy and jolly he was, and scared out of our wits that he was going to murder us with a knife,or poison us with wine. After the phone call John was the one who wanted to follow up and go to Mr. Pignati’s house to collect the money. I chickened out and said I would not go. Give me one good reason, John demanded. I told him it was wrong to take money for an old man. John’s response was that all through history artists have survived by taking money from old men. After getting over the shook of meeting him, John and I settled in in the couch. Mr.Pignati wanted us to play a memory game. John did well but I struggled due to my anxiety about meeting Mr.Pignati.
I had just finished my wine, when Mr.Pignati announced that all three of us should go to the zoo today. John told Mr.Pignati that we had other stops to make today, and we could not sit around drinking wine and going to zoos. Mr.Pignati got very sad and went to go get his checkbook. He then remembered he did not show us his pigs. He took us down a dark hallway to see the pigs, I did not want to go but John dragged me along. It was crazy how many pigs the man had, there were glass pigs, clay pigs and marble pigs. I reached my hand out. Mr.Pignati wnated me to hold one but I did not want to. He asked, if we didn’t like them. John said, Everyone loves pigs. Mr.Pignati showed us is the first pig he got for his wife, it was a large white pig with an ugly smile. He said his wife thought it was funny. Pig. Pignati. Do you get it? John said, “Yes, Mr. Pignati, we get it”.

In the memorial epic, The Pigman, John and Lorraine’s words really show their personality type. In the beginning of the story, when describing John, Lorraine say’s “John has made and art out of it. He prevaricates just for prevaricating’s sake.” What Lorraine is referring to is John’s tendency to make up stories in an attempt to make his life sound more interesting. The reason he does this is to make his life sound more exciting then it actually is. John is the type of pers...

“A grin was on the face of the monster; he seemed to jeer as with his fiendish finger he pointed towards the corpse of my wife” (173).
I feel like I have wasted 14 years, 4 months, and 24 days of my life waiting for him to change. Every night lying in bed, terrified, paralyzed by fear, praying that God would allow something to happen to me while protecting my children that would wake him up as to what he has right in front of him. Sleeping next to him every night feeling alone and wondering if this was normal. I kept blaming myself for not being good enough and that forced me to sacrifice more and more to win him over, hoping that I would one day be good enough. I never realized that I was in love with a fake person who never truly loved me anyways. He only loved controlling me.
From a young age, I was very curious. Curiosity caused my mind to see everything from a different perspective than most. I saw what could be improved and how I could improve. For example, when it came to editing movies, I was always able to see what could how it could have been better or I questioned how they had created it. My curiosity led me to try many different activities throughout high school, such as film camps, stage managing for plays, yearbook, and even creating videos for Rochester High School’s awards day. Finally, my junior year, I decided it was time I made films of my own for competitions. I wanted to have something that I could call my own. When it came to the two films I did for contests, I was there throughout the whole process.
Majority of the people around Mr. Simonet have a hard time looking eye to eye with him. Mr. Simonet appears to have a bad scarred face. Nobody knew how he got the scares because he was never open about it and never talked about it. Whenever people stared at him or made remarks about his scared he was distance and closed off. Until one night when Arlene and Mr. Simonet got into a fight due to his discomfort. He told Arlene “You don’t see me, my life is familiar, my life is manageable, I have a thing I do every day, it’s all I’ve ever known and it’s a routine, and as long as I have that I’m ok.” As the fight continues, Arlene replied back to him, encouraging him “You look good to me.” Arlene changed Mr. Simonet’s comfort and cognitive behavior
I read the next line, “And the ship sailed onward, gliding serenely down the moonlit river toward the dark lands beyond.”
So I don’t know what to write for this. Instead of coming up with something actually decent to write about I’m just going to write whatever comes to mind while i'm writing this. I don’t know if I’ll actually keep this but I will definitely finish writing the 400 words because even if I decide to not hand this in I need something to show on Friday and since you just check for a piece of paper with words on it and don’t actually read I can write whatever I want right now and if I decide to I can just rewrite the whole thing before we hand in the full journal.
The narrator wrestles with conflicting feelings of responsibility to the old man and feelings of ridding his life of the man's "Evil Eye" (34). Although afflicted with overriding fear and derangement, the narrator still acts with quasi-allegiance toward the old man; however, his kindness may stem more from protecting himself from suspicion of watching the old man every night than from genuine compassion for the old man.
There are many things that have molded me into the person I am today such as being born into a family with four children. With three siblings, I have been forced to be able to work out problems from stealing each other’s toys to having to rush to the emergency room to get stiches because my brother chased me around the house and I tripped. My mother, father, brother, and two sisters were all born in Pennsylvania and I am the odd ball and I was born in Adrian, Michigan. From when I was a child I always loved being involved with sports because of my competitive nature. I grew up playing soccer and having success with that but then my love changed and I began playing lacrosse and football. I started playing lacrosse in middle school and played
