This is a funny ,(funny to other people) and embarrassing ,(embarrassing to me) story. It happen like two months ago… So a week before this happen, I was walking down the hallway at Havre Middle school, and I saw my Vice Principal Mr. Irvin. When I see him he usually asked me if I want to work the concessions for the middle school football team . So he walked passed and I said “do you need me to work..”, He said “oooo man can you?????????”. I work with my friend Elly. She has been my friend ever since I was born because, our parents were friends. We went to daycare together when we were little. She is always there for me, and I am always there for here. We are like sisters! She calls my mom her mom. We worked after school that week. We were walking up the hill to go to the football hill and all we saw was water coming out of the faucet next to the concessions. It was all over!!! Some of the havre boys broke it. Mr Irvin was mad but not that mad they got the water shut off. They fixed it by time the game started so people could fill up their water bottles. We go in the concessions And it was so hot in there. I felt like I was in a microwave, it was so hot!!!! The first quarter went by and Elly and I were selling some not alot so it was kinda boring, but it was still fun because I was with my best friend. The second quarter …show more content…
Mr. Irvin came by and he said the reefers need water, so I got water and I was running to Mr.Irvin to give him the water. I was running and stepped on a rock. I saw the rock but I kept running. Man I wish I wasn’t running. Every body saw me it was so embarrassing. I felt like people were laughing at me… Inside I was crying and screaming. People kept laughing and asking if i was okay. I said i was fine but it really hurt. I slowly walked back it hurt so bad I wanted to cry I got back in the concessions, I sat down for a bit the game got over. It didn't hurt much after that, but i just wanted to sit
After that everything felt like it was in slow motion. The last thing I was was my first base coach as the ground reached out and pulled me down face first. For a second I contemplated not even getting up. I was utterly humiliated. But I did. And when I did, I absolutely died laughing. I stood up after the initial shock and was greeted with a chorus of ‘Are you okay?!’’s. After reassuring them all that I was fine I trotted back over to the batter’s box, still laughing, and got ready to hit again. I fouled off another pitch and finally regained a shred of composure. Thwack. The the ball sailed deep into center field and over the center fielder's head. I made it to second but was stranded by my teammates, and from there I headed back to the
We were down by the field, and the smell of the chopped up rubber in the turf flew into the air. Cold air flew all over the stadium. We went down by the players to try to get an autograph, and I was right next to Charles Tillman! The person next to me got his autograph, but I got a high five. When I sat back down, I felt the cold plastic from the seat.
After that we went over to our bench the bench we sat o was green and white these benches change color according to your team's color. There are 9 people on the field at once from each team 4 attack 4 defence and 3 middie we played U of M it wa fun we destroyed them 91 0 biggest game differential ever! The game is different but is still a lot the same like i told you we were dressed now and are allowed to hit people like in boys lacrosse we don't wear pads though just goggles are gloves are required now. No extending elbows or limbs still. I sent a girl to the hospital i broke her arm. I scored 15 goals and had an awesome time. The goal turns into a star after you score and a rainbow appears. After the game we signed papers and digraphs. After the game me and Emma were tired so we went back to the dorm, and ordered a pizza. The pizza man came and he wore this weird thing it was an apron but it had squirty bottles to clean it off. The pizza guy's truck was the one with the oven and cooler it looks awesome emma said that they have them everywhere. We ordered dr. pepper that came in a 4 liter it was cool we drank it all and then we went to bed watching a movie( it was a double throwback for back to the future). As i fell into a deep sleep i saw the monkey
The horn blew and the game started, Dedham won the face off and is running down the field at a faster pace than I was used to. They shot the ball! I couldn’t move my stick quick enough to save it, so I threw my body in front of it and got hit right in the shoulder. It hurt a lot, but what I hadn’t realized was that it hit my shoulder and reflected ten feet away from the net where my player caught it and ran down the field and scored. The other team didn’t know what hit them. It was the half now and the score was three to nothing in our favor. Our couch told us that we needed to keep up the good work.
Our All-Star team made it to State which was held in the warm July sun down in Terre Haute, Indiana. Pete, a short red haired kid was my best friend at the time, he would play second base and I would be the shortstop, we were the best two players on the team and we always had each other’s back. Before our first game at State, Pete and I always did our handshake but this time it felt more special because we were both so hype and caught up in the moment that all I remember him saying was “It’s your world. Get on base and let me hit you in, let’s go!” I was always the number one hitter and Pete was number two, the best two baseball players, so we were the ones carrying the team. To start off the game, I hit a double off the wall, pointed at the dugout and my teammates went crazy. The families in the stands started chanting, and it felt like I was on top of the world. Next batter is Pete, he gets a fastball over the plate and belts it into right field, I score and start clapping and our team is going ballistic as we started the game off to a quick 1-0 start. We all thought we had this game in the bag. After the top of the first we were on defense. Our best pitcher was on the mound and everyone in
A softball game on a hot summer day. My family was going to my dad’s softball game. Today was the championship playoffs. If his team won their first game, they would go on to their second game where they would go up against the, Mighty Mounds of Clay. Their name is weird, the way the play is weird and the fans cheering them on are weird. Though I don’t remember much, I can remember everything that happened before I woke up with a bright light in my eyes.
I remember the day very clearly, it was in late autumn and it was cold. My mom had sent my brother Ross, our friend Pete, and me outside while she made lunch because we were being too rowdy. Ross had forgotten his jacket but was too stubborn to go back inside and get it, so he stayed near the propane heater that my father had set up in the garage while he was doing yard work. While I was running around enjoy the afternoon in the way that toddlers do, swings and playing in the dirt, Ross and his friend Pete stayed in the garage to stay warm seeing who could stay close to the heater the longest. Apparently Ross won, because before he knew it his New York Giants jersey that our Grandfather had bought for
I remember it like it was just yesterday. Bright lights shined on the field, my teammate’s loud cheering from the dugout, my team’s crowd of people all cheering my name. It was my second district game, which is where local towns put together a team of their best players to compete in a big tournament. In districts the goal is to win each team you play in order to move up in the tournament. However, if you lose two times your team is eliminated. For example, the tournament goes from; Districts, to Sectionals, States, Regionals, and then the World Series.
I got on to the bus as fast as I could. I can’t believe we were going to play our rivals for the championship. We were on our way to go to Lake City to play the Titans. It seemed that we were missing somebody but we weren’t. Coach took a head count of the team and we all were on the bus accept for Alex, he broke his foot earlier in the season. Alex and his mom were following us in her van. When Alex got hurt we were lucky to make it to the championship. Alex was our star running back. Him and I were unstoppable when we were about to score. Alex and I are the best of friends. We have been friends since fourth grade. I told him to try football and he did, but he liked soccer. We made a deal I went out for soccer for a year, but he had to go out for football. Ever since he has went out for football. Alex and I have gone out for football for four years and they have been the best four years ever. The bus ride took forever, it seemed like it. The bus so noisy everybody had to yell to be heard. The coach couldn’t even hear the bus driver, and he was right next to the bus driver. We were finally there in Lake City. When we got into the locker room coach said, “Win or lose I want you to play your heart out and no matter what we will leave with our heads held high”. We meet in the hall and somebody on the other team says something nasty, they said, “You guys are going down today”. I wished everybody “good luck today” and “make the better team
I remember it as clear as day. It had been a fairly normal week, and a routine average day. It was a Friday and I was driving home from school in my trusty Toyota Tercel. I was getting into the dreaded mental set of the game that I would be playing in that night. I had to play in the band at halftime and it was the first performance of the season. The whole ride to my house I thought about the game and hoped and prayed that we wouldn't make huge fools of ourselves. Before I knew it, I was already home. I remember thinking that it felt like the shortest drive ever, getting to beautiful Rolling Oaks. When I got home, little did I know, that there would be a huge surprise waiting for me that would change my life forever.
It was November 1st and it was the day of my last volleyball game. I ran into my friend Eri and we started talking about the game later that day. It was against Tunkhannock. They were the best volleyball team from our area, and wouldn’t you know it on our senior night we had to play against them. Senior night was the one night where the seniors were recognized, whether they were good or not. The whole day the team was joking about how much we would lose by against our rival team. In a game to fifteen we thought we would end up owing them points.
It was in the middle of March and the last months of my eighth grade year. My school year was ending great. It was time of the year in which soccer season was about to start, truly I was excited about joining the school soccer team. Immediately after trying out I was the first person picked on the team. I was also named captain and would be the face of this team, it was an incredible feeling. Soon the season would start, however two days before it started my life would have an one-hundred degree turn. It was the middle of practice when suddenly I started to vomit , before I knew it I had fainted. My lack of nutrition led me to an illness which gave me a
I am by myself wearing my blue jeans and an old flannel shirt. It is cool outside but I decided to leave my gloves at home, feeling comfortable with my warm shirt and my sturdy boots.
The entire family got together and it was always a last minute thing but no matter what was going on we all decide we would go up to County Park Lake to have family time. There would be my grandma and my Aunts and Uncles and their kids when we pulled up to the parking lot. Under the shade trees the women would be sitting trying to stay cool and the older men of the family stand around a grill they would be sitting up the charcoal pyramid to lite to start grilling the food while the kids where at the tot lot playing the equipment you could hear the laughter of the kids playing . Also the mean talking about which is the best way to grill. The women would be laughing at the guys arguing over which way was bett...
It was dark that night, I was nervous that this dreadful day was going to get worse. Sunday, October 23, 1998 I wanted to start writing this to tell about the weird things i’m starting to see in this new neighborhood. Gradually I keep seeing pots and pans on the sink suddenly move to the floor. I would ask my sister but she is out with my mom and dad getting the Halloween costumes. When they got home I didn’t tell them what I saw because i've seen Halloween movies and I have to have dissimulation otherwise the ghost will come out and get me first. October 24, 1998 I think I got a little nervous yesterday with the whole ghost thing. 12:32pm, Went to eat lunch with the family today and I go to get my coat. I heard the words furious and madness,
