It was dark that night, I was nervous that this dreadful day was going to get worse. Sunday, October 23, 1998 I wanted to start writing this to tell about the weird things i’m starting to see in this new neighborhood. Gradually I keep seeing pots and pans on the sink suddenly move to the floor. I would ask my sister but she is out with my mom and dad getting the Halloween costumes. When they got home I didn’t tell them what I saw because i've seen Halloween movies and I have to have dissimulation otherwise the ghost will come out and get me first. October 24, 1998 I think I got a little nervous yesterday with the whole ghost thing. 12:32pm, Went to eat lunch with the family today and I go to get my coat. I heard the words furious and madness, …show more content…
I don’t know what to expect when I get home if this ghost is angry. I called a poltergeist expert, he said record the behavior of what is going on.
Of course I didn't ask my mom or dad. Nobody shall know. October 26 1998, haven’t recorded in a while. I've been paying attention to the thing in my house, but today changes everything I don’t think we have one I think we have many. Today I go in the basement to see what is down there. I open a door labeled, CONCEALMENT CHAMBER. I open it anyway I find bones and organs in jars. I almost threw up. I had to be stealthy leaving the basement, I was told not to be down there by my parents order. I went to check in the attic that had a built in step ladder. I went up there and there was dead animal carcases as my body stimulate my body. As I steadily leave the attic after almost throwing up in the attic which was a closer call than the basement. I go in my room to write it down and on my wall it says fury. I have no clue why this thing is angry. October 31, 1998 It's Halloween and I am not ready to have this ghost pop out of nowhere and kill me and put my organs in the basement. I take precautions. I don’t have the audacity to capture this ghost. So I just go out trick or treating. I don’t want to come back with the house in flames but I have to go trick or
treating. We see police officers I ask them what I should do and they laugh. I am disappointed they don’t believe me. I get home first so I investigate before my family comes home. I hear noises that become louder, it was the most scary thing in my life when something you don’t know what is chasing you. As mysterious sounds come from the basement. I do a YOLO moment and go to the basement. I hear screams shouting and they sound like it will break bulletproof glass. I go down there and there is nothing to be found. Go into the attic and every animal body is gone. I go into the basement and all the human organs and skeletons where gone. Then I figured out they were all Halloween decorations. But it didn’t make any sence, Iv’e been trick or treating for 2 hours and they where here 2 hours ago. Then I go to my room look outside and my dad was throwing it all away. Then I ask him about it and he said the previous owners left a noise machine fake bones and organs and a big bat to create shadows. I guess this new house is going to be fun.
I heard a blood-curdling scream and I jumped. I felt silent tears running down my heavily scarred face, but they weren’t out of sadness. Mostly. They were a mixture of pain and fear. I ran into the eerie, blood-splattered room and screamed as I felt cold fingers grab my neck. Before that night, I didn’t believe in the paranormal. Now I sure as heck do. I had been chased out of my house after a fight with my step-parents because I wasn’t doing well in school (I had dyslexia), and I had taken shelter in what seemed like a normal house. I realized what I had gotten into after the sun set. The doors locked without a sign of anyone going near them. A cold draft filled the room I was in. The house turned into a horrific scene, and I knew I would never get out alive. It was the Asylum. There’s a rumor in our town, a rumor that started when someone made the observation that everyone fit in. No one was considered strange, homeless, an outsider. That doesn’t seem possible, you think. In my town, there are tons of people with no homes, or people that don’t belong, you think. Well, think again. Those homeless people? Think about how many there are. They fit in with each other. Those people that don’t belong? Once again, they fit in with each other. But then, you
Elements of the supernatural have long enhanced the folklore of many cultures. Stories of ghosts, magic, and so-called aliens are transferred from generation to generation, sparking our imagination and uncovering our deepest fears. While some stories are clearly fabulous, others are believed by those who tell them. The story I wish to report is of the latter kind: an experience that generated real fear in the teller. Although the story is completely original, it contains ideas reflected in much other folklore, including similar tales from similar locations. And like all folklore, the effectiveness of the story depends upon the performance of the teller and those to follow.
When I went to bed on that cold Halloween night, I thought it would be like any other. Well, I was dead wrong. As I slowly walked down the creaky stairs, I could hear the quiet laughter of whatever was down there. I was very scared but I wanted to see what the noise was, so i tried not to make any noise while I went down the stairs so whatever was down there wouldn't hear me. I saw something reddish and i heard someone saying OH YEAH! I then ran upstairs and shut my door. I tried to think of what i've heard OH YEAH from, and then i realized it was from a commercial, a kool aid commercial. So i thought to myself why would he kool aid man be at my house and then i remembered I threw away a whole bottle of kool aid yesterday. Now a guess he has
Ok. One night my sister and I were at my father’s house. He lives in Kingsville on 10 maybe 9 acres of land in this [small pause, looks at ceiling] I wouldn’t really call it a farmhouse, just a kind of small house out there. The previous person who lived in the house was supposedly shipped to an asylum, for, you know, normal stuff [pause] schizophrenic or something. My sister and I were at the house one night and we were cleaning up the house while my dad was on some sort of job out of the state and my step mom was at work in the hospital. We were doing our stuff, and then the power flickered, and came back on. We didn’t think anything of it. Then, outside of the door, we heard a noise, kinda like a dog barking, but like, just enough not so that we knew it wasn’t. So, we hear this noise, and start to get fre...
It was late I thought. Almost midnight yet I was still unable to sleep. I stared thoughtlessly at the moving shadows mumbling to myself, "it was just a story" but in my heart I knew it wasn't, it was more than a story, much, much more. Then, a crow appeared in the middle of my room. The crow stared at me with such intensity that I fell backwards into the safety of my pillow. I stared at the crow in shock as it disappeared into my closet and that's when I heard it, a long piercing whine that was like a nail to a chalkboard. I prayed that it would go away, I prayed with all my heart but it stayed there continuing its long whine. It was then when I caught a glimpse of it. I saw two glowing bloodshot eyes stare at me. I let out a scream born from terror and almost immediately my dad came bursting into my room. He stared at me with confusion but all I could do was point a shaking finger at my closet door. Cautiously, my father marched into the closet door only to find nothing inside. Then, without warning, the closet door slammed shut along with my father still inside.
Perhaps my most gratifying research experience was also my biggest research obstacle. During my early undergraduate research in Professor Paul Sternberg’s Lab, I had grown to learn how to communicate science, determine the important experiments to conduct and obtain the necessary laboratory skills. These experiences came from my project in engineering C. elegans to express a photosensitive archaea proton pump in the mitochondrial membrane to explore how we can engineer a more efficient strain of C. elegans. In this process, I learned to construct plasmids using molecular biology and learned to introduce these genetic changes by injections and genetic crosses. Each successive step, I learned to troubleshoot and optimize. The hardest task to
I was a good day and a half of long hours in the car with mom. Listening to music and chatting the whole time. When we finally pulled up in a what was a overgrown driveway covered in weeds with shade of the trees above. I knew this was going to be our new home sweet home. As we finally pulled up the new house it was very broken. In the front 5 polls holding the roof up. The worn out brick was layered in thick busy weeds stretching up and around the whole house. Some windows were curiously boarded up some even broken. I saw something weird in the window. I pointed it out to mom she said it was just dirty but I knew I saw a little girl. She was dirty and about six or seven. She looked upset like she lost her favorite stuffed animal. I
I am awoken to the sound of tree branches hitting the window and a faint ringing in the distance. I slowly get out of bed worried about what is happening beyond my door. I grab my flashlight and quickly head downstairs. I immediately run into the kitchen yelling for someone, but no one answers. I frantically look outside and see the trees swaying and the night sky turning into swirling clusters of clouds. I quickly run into my younger brother’s room and see him shakily holding onto his bed post with tears streaming down his face.
I swung my arm aiming for my alarm clock but ended up knocking my nightstand over. " Dang it" I said unhappily as I put my feet on the floor protected by my fuzzy pink socks. I hand a fun and terrifying experience in my sleep a few days ago. I discovered me and my 5 friends could dream walk but only in abandoned places which is creepy because I really strongly dislike the dark and also I really hate spooky paranormal things. It gives me the spokes. I decided I should write in my journal about my dreams because I could feel and remember every little detail of those eerie places from the sound of the water rushing from the flooding to the crickets humming in the overgrown shrubbery.
Some people like to stay in control of their life and avoid any amount of extraordinary risk to protect their self-disclosure. Other people don’t shy away from challenges as they are confident that certain obstacles are nothing more than just another thing standing in their way from living life to the fullest extent. Through personal experience, I’ve realized that personal comfort is nothing more than a variety of fears that limit me from challenging myself.
It was just a normal day. I was living at home with only me, John, and my mom. My dad had died trying to protect the village from a wild animal from the forest. My mom wanted me to go to the market and get some food. So I did. As I made it to the market I could see all of the things being traded. I went to were the food was being traded and traded some stuff for some food. As returned home I noticed a couple of strange voices I didn’t notice. I walked into the house. It got dead silent. Then all last I heard were gunshots until everything went black.
I’m just going to come right out and say it, because it’s true, and voicing it might help. It’s a creepy sort of night. The super dark, wind blowing, kind of creepy that gets the imagination running out of control. Which, since I’m being honest, doesn’t always take that much. As in, right now. I’m getting seriously spooked very quickly here. You know that feeling, the one that you’re being watched even though there’s no one else around? The feeling that gives you goose bumps on your arms, and raises the hair on your neck; that’s the feeling I have right now. I could almost swear that I heard soft footsteps making a crackling sound on the grass too. I stop, listening hard (as opposed to any other type of listening, I suppose) to try and figure out if I am really alone. It was a stupid dare really; wandering alone in the graveyard to prove….what exactly? I don’t remember now, because my overactive brain is nearing the hysterical point and I’m ready to bolt. So what happened next, you ask? I screamed like a school girl and ran, sure that I had seen a shadow move right in front of me. Now that I’m in the safety of my car and driving away, I can reasonably say that I must have imagined it. However, imagined or not, I won’t be doing that again!
Summer vacation, and school ends for about three months, and then you have as much fun as you can, then back to school… right? Well I had to go to summer school, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Everything was going fine, I had a job after summer school, and that was going fine as well. They say that summer is supposed to be fun and exciting, and it usually is for me and my family. However in July my father started coughing up blood. My father usually doesn’t make it his top priority to go to the doctors, so he waited about four weeks until he really didn’t feel good.
I had spent the night at a friend’s house and I couldn’t sleep so I called my mom to come get me and bring me home. On our way home I talked to her about how I wasn’t comfortable sleeping away from home and how it scared me. When we got home I rushed to the door because my grandma and my little sister Alyssa were waiting for me. As I opened the front door I could hear screaming and voices I had never heard before. My heart started racing and I couldn’t think about anything but that I wanted to see what was going on. I shoved the front door open and my mom rushed to be behind me. As we walked into the house I was my grandmother screaming at someone and hiding my little sister behind her. Alyssa looked terrified like she was being attacked. My mom
On October 27th, 2011 I went to a haunted house, the outside didn’t look that scary because it was just this big garage shed that was gray and looked rough. The side of the garage looked irregular because the shed wasn’t painted that well because even in the dark I could
