It was mid August, the sun was still shining high. You could feel the warm breeze on your back, screams and yells filled the air. We had arrived. A few months before that my Aunt had called and asked if they could come down to Virginia (they live in Rhode Island). We had said “sure” and then that time came. The exact date was August 18th, 2016 and at about 5pm they had came from the airport. Like always with family, we greeted each other, talked about our travels and, just simply enjoyed ourselves. The evening had slipped away and I was just resting in my bed watching Netflix and wondering what we would come to do tomorrow. In a few minutes I fell fast asleep… ...I woke up tired but not. I got up, did the usual morning routine, and had breakfast. We decided on what we do that day, Busch Gardens. It wasn't shocking to me at all, for the most part I was barely even excited. Little did I know what was about to happen. …show more content…
It surprisingly was very calm that day. All the attractions you could go on in almost an instance. We decided on going to the easier rides first to get our adrenaline rushing. As we got off Apollo's Chariot, I had thought we would move on to Griffon next, but my Cousins were persistent and asked if we could go on the one right next to Apollo. Of course I had said, “yes” and forgotten that right next to us was Tempesto. A few moments later I realized what I had done. I thought of asking, “hey guys can we just skip it”. I was so eager to say it but I wanted to keep my word. The line was very short and knowing it was the newest attraction shocked me. As we got closer, and closer I started to feel my pulse beat rapidly and the persistent I need to go to the bathroom feeling. Then it
It was the summer of 2012 and my family was taking another trip to Six Flags Great America. Earlier that summer we went just for me to be disappointed. At the time I wasn’t 54 inches yet and couldn’t ride any of the rides that I wanted to because they were the most popular at the amusement park. But, I hit a growth spurt between trips and we planned to ride all of the big rollercoasters. The one that I was most terrified of at the time was Raging Bull, one of the tallest, fastest, and longest steel coasters in the US. As we started to wait in line for the ride I was shaking with both anticipation and fear and began to rethink my idea to ride the rollercoaster. I decided to stay in line and see what many people thought was a great coaster.
What comes to mind when you hear the word adventure!!? Well there is a place in Florida that is guaranteed to bring out your inner kid every time you visit. This place is known as universal Orlando Florida. This is a place where you can go on vacation and have fun like never before as you did when you were a kid. On my visit to Orlando I stated at a four-star resort located inside the theme park known as Cabana Bay Beach Resort, also went to universal studios and islands of adventure were I felt like I was a kid again.
One summer morning, I woke up excited. My friends and I were going to Hershey Park. I’ve been busy this summer, so this is the first time I was able to go. Hershey Park is a big amusement park with big roller coasters and a big water park. The Fahrenheit is my favorite ride there. I woke up, took a shower, got dressed, ate breakfast, and waited for them to pick me up at my house. While I sat on my couch, I had my bag with a towel and a bathing suit for the water park and I could put my phone there. I was ready to go.
The sound of music, filling the air with happiness, resonates throughout the area. The scent of delicious buttery popcorn and glazed turkey legs that go on for miles and miles. The feeling of excitement coming into the place is felt in the atmosphere. It is the image of a once in a lifetime moment. When people come in, their imaginations become reality. The name describes itself perfectly. Walt Disney World is the place of dreams and imagination. People come from all around the world to see the rides, characters, food and the entertainment of Walt Disney World. I remember when I went to Disney World this past March. It was the third time I have gone to Disney World. To see the amazement and the expectation of the
Amusement and theme parks are filled with joy, adrenaline, and excitement that also always guarantee a memorable trip. Disney world, being one of the most notorious theme parks in the world, is almost like seeing a whole other world. I will never forget my senior trip to Disney world, because of the unreal Magic Kingdom, the adrenaline rush of bush gardens, and the grad bash fun at universal.
A month went by of us packing, getting ready, and us counting down the days until we left for Florida and then Puerto Rico. The day came that we were leaving for Florida. We were in the car for 5 hours. We finally got to the hotel and we went to dinner. After that, we went to the pool and then we went to our rooms and went to sleep.
I arrive home around 11:00 p.m. to a sleeping wife and child. I walked into my daughter Emily’s nursery to give her a kiss goodnight. I leaned in and placed my lips on her forehead as she lightly opened her eyes. I rubbed her back and sang softly to put her back to sleep.
AHHHHHHH, that’s the sound I’m going to make when I going to make when I go to Six Flags this weekend. In my opinion, I think that Six Flags has the rides the best rides. There’s just one ride that I’m really afraid of. I t’s the biggest and best ride in Six Flags, the ride literally goes all around Six Flags. But I was afraid of the ride, so I said to my mom “Goliath is just one of the rides I’ll never ride.”
My palms were sweaty, I was a nervous wreck; should I go or not? Just the thought of people dying at Six Flags gives me the chills. Falling off a ride and slowly coming to your death. Even though I was at Six Flags who would have thought that I would have to make such a tough decision about a ride.
I remember it like it was yesterday, my family took our first trip to Six Flags Great America. I was around seven years old and terrified by everything around me. The roller coasters were like brobdingnagian snakes that twisted throughout the entire park. My first rollercoaster changed my life forever. I was barely the required 48”, and my dad sat me down on American Eagle. Before the ride I was sobbing, yelling, and scared out of my mind. The lift hill had to be the longest moments of my life. We climbed up the 127’ slower than I thought possible, and then it happened. The car crested over the first hill, and the expression on my face couldn't have changed more. I went from a terrified and mortified child, to a boy who was on top of the world. The feeling of falling down the hill, then climbing up another and entering a helix and the some more
As soon as the cart reached the top of the tracks I knew we were in for a long bumpy ride. The cart descended, I gritted my teeth and pushed my legs against the seat in front of me to brace myself. I'm screaming now, this is my first roller coaster, I do not know what to expect. All I could see was my life flashing in front of my eyes and the moment just before I decided to jump onto this roller coaster of death.
We hang out for a while till it hit us, the reception started soon. We scurried
“Come on, do it!” my aunt exclaimed at me the day before our trip to the amusement park. My family would always take a trip to an amusement park every other summer. I was always scared about going on the roller coasters. So one day before the trip, my aunt wanted to push me and my sister to do something new through a bet. The bet was that I had to chose one ride or the other ride but I had to choose one. My sister chose the one I didn’t choose so we both had to go on separate rides. Then the one day came and my sister, me, my cousin and my aunt drove to the amusement park building up the anticipation each minute in the car.
Ever since I was about six years old, I wanted in the worst way to go to Disneyland. I would hope every year that my parents would chose Disneyland as our next family vacation destination. I dreamt of the day I would come back from Disneyland with exciting tales of adventure and a pair of sparkly, ruby red and black Minnie Mouse ears of my very own that would be the envy of every kid in my elementary class. Once I finally went to Disneyland, it was amazing; Disneyland was everything I had expected and more. However, a couple years later when I returned to Disneyland, it was different. The rides, buildings, and everything in the park did not have the same allure. The magic I had experienced as a child was no longer there.
My favorite summer vacation was when my Father took me to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. What made it even more memorable was the fact that it was my very first time on an airplane. I cannot recall another time in my life when I experienced so much joy. That trip to Universal Studios was the first time my Father and I actually did something together, just the two of us and was something brought me close to my Father. In this essay I will tell you about my plane ride over there, what I did right when I got there, and about my time at Universal Studios.
