Out for a brisk walk this morning I noticed a little more twinkle in Hollywood than normal. Thanksgiving is around the corner and with all the fall festivities almost upon us, it appears the Christmas lights are going up around town. Don’t get me wrong, I love the bright lights, decorated trees and even the joyful tunes. I guess I was just wishing that I’d have a slice of turkey, a piece of pumpkin pie and way too much stuffing before the focus of Christmas. Thankfully, a few fun turkey day shows are planned for next week. I took a peek and saw “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” and “SNL: Thanksgiving” are slated before the big day.

it feel off a building and is headlong into the sidewalk makes everyone stop and gasp. It’s funny and original. Plus, it’s a perfect place to take a selfie! Tony DiNozzo’s dad returns to ‘NCIS’ The fans are excited to see Tony DiNozzo Sr.
(played by Robert Wagner) back on “NCIS.” Looking to rent the apartment Tony once lived in, the team becomes super friendly with the father of their former coworker to see what could happen. While it’s awesome to see Tony’s dad back in the storyline, but it’s a little weird too. Michael Weatherly, who played Tony DiNozzo, is seen about 45 minutes later in his new show. For the fans, it’s hard to separate the two characters (played by one great actor). I swear we are all trying though!
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson named ‘Sexiest Man Alive’
The announcement of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson being named “Sexiest Man Alive” definitely is perfect for this year. Anyone who has had the privilege of meeting The Rock knows just how kind the guy really is and his focus on fans is amazing. There have been years when People Magazine announced dudes that made people roll their eyes in disappointment, but this year the editors got it right and the fans couldn’t be happier.
And Finally…Marilyn Monroe’s famous ‘Happy Birthday’ dress up for
auction Marilyn Monroe’s famous dress, the gown she wore at New York's Madison Square Garden when she sang “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy in front of a large crowd, is going up for auction. The gown has more than 2,500 crystals and has been touring for months. This weekend it will be sold and it’s expected to fetch over 2.5 million. Considered one of the oldest scandals in Hollywood, the moment she performed on stage has been seen millions of time and referenced in countless TV shows and movies. Compared to today’s Hollywood scandals, this moment is quite tame. It’s definitely surprising how 54 years can offer some perspective.
On this date November 25 “Marc Brown” wrote a book. The book Marc had wrote was Arthur's Thanksgiving.
Recognize that the "Culture of Hollywood" is based on motion pictures as big business as well as entertainment.
The first Thanksgiving was a celebration of coming together between Native Americans and the English settlers in the fall of 1621 in Plymouth Colony. Before this first Thanksgiving, the settlers were preparing for the harsh coming winter by gathering food and supplies. With the help of Squanto, a Wampanoag Indian who knew English, the settlers to grow corn and use fish to fertilize the soil for better harvest. Squanto helped the Colonists learn how to fish. This brought the Wampanoag Indians closer to the English settlers. They began to work together, soon the Native Americans offered to help hunt for and with the English settlers. The leader of the Wampanoag, Massasoit and 90 of his mencame for the first Thanksgiving. For three days, the English and the native men, women and children celebrated together playing games, singing songs, dancing and feasting on their harvest. Their meal consisted of corn, shellfish and other roasted meat like duck, goose and venison. This marked the historic and first Thanksgiving holiday of the history of our nation.
(#6) was James Gundolfini he brought up a lot of information but mainly just didn’t understand at teat point how the kid could be anything but guilty. Now Tony Danza (#7) was a real character. He was very disrespectful and didn’t care that the boy, maybe didn’t do it, he just wanted to get an agreement so that he wouldn’t
This is a disgrace! To all the turkey’s at Thanksgiving! forty-five million turkey’s are cooked a year. Not only are those awful humans eating us, now they are entrapping us in disgusting cages and making us eat only corn and soybeans. That’s not even the worst part, they put something in our food called vitamins and minerals. I heard yesterday from keith, my turkey friend, that they talk about how they feed turkeys healthy things so that the people who buy the turkeys won’t get sick or something like that. They also say we taste different at different ages.
I’d like to begin by thanking the groom for asking me to be best man. I would also like to thank the bride for allowing him to ask me. The groom has a splendid set of friends, and to be nominated from such esteemed company is without doubt a great honor. Thanks also to the ushers, friends, and family who have all helped to make this day so special.
“Buddy was the first person to have faith in my music. He encouraged me in my music and my writing. He was my friend. If anything I’ve ever done is remembered, part of it is because of Buddy Holly.”

The purpose of Thanksgiving in Canada is different from the Americans. But even though the reasons for giving thanks are different, many of the customs are the same. Canadian Thanksgiving was originally started to give thanks to God for a bountiful harvest. This was when there were lots of farmers that grew crops. Now we give thanks for everything we appreciate. Some farming families still give thanks for a good crop.
The culture and humor of I Love Lucy hasn’t just crept into the culture of TV. The fans have, for years, referenced the funny moments on this show long after the series ended in 1957. The show and the main celebrity, Lucille Ball shared a new standard of humor that hasn’t been forgotten. The Christmas Special not only has the humor, but finds ways to express the heart
If you’re turning on the TV during Monday night’s prime time shows, expect to be treated to a little holiday fun. As we get closer to Christmas (it’s three weeks away, but who’s counting) the shows during the evening hours are getting more and more festive! This is a good thing if you love the holidays and all the joy that comes with the season. If you’re feeling it’s a bit too much, well, say hello to your uncle Scrooge for me. I joke, instead you can find a few less holiday shows on digital streaming right now.
I am floating down a glorious river enjoying a warm chocolate chip cookie, when suddenly I come upon even more desserts. It is like some sort of Candyland, or a funky version of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory and goodness is it a place I was really starting to like. The river took a sharp turn and I nearly fell off my dream cookie when all of a sudden someone caught me. Goodness I am glad to see Sarah. Come to think of it, she probably is a lot of the reason why I am so into sweets in the first place. Whenever I go over to her house, her mother would feed me pounds of her fantastic cake and she never fails to give me more than enough. That’s it, she is the one to blame for this obsession of mine. But honestly let’s worry about that later, after I’ve enjoyed this dream world I am currently in.
Thanksgiving in the Seidel house always starts with me begging my mom to make “Duck Cake” more commonly know as dirt cake. I have memories of being a small toddler and running into the kitchen and shouting “Mommy, Mommy can I help you crush the Oreos?”, “Of course, you can”, my mother would reply in a sweet tone and she would pick me up, and she set me on the counter. My mom did this so I could reach the Oreos. After we crushed the Oreos into small pieces, she would tell me to go and play with Morgan. So my mom could finish cooking us a delicious lunch. When I had been playing with Morgan for an hour or two, my mom would call us down to set the table for our lunch. My dad arrives at the table after spending the morning watching the parade with
It all started one bright sunny day when I was feeling really good and wanted to do some baking. That’s when I decided I wanted to make some homemade bread, but that bread was out to get me that day. It was a war from beginning to end. You will laugh and cry as you read on to find out how my bread baking day turned out. You will wonder who is going to get the best; me, or the bread. Don’t ask me why I never gave up I kept on until it was completely finished, and boy was I glad because that bread tasted so delicious.
