You may be thinking parking lot, who cares? The parking lot is very important and for each facility the parking area will be separate from the shop. The parking area is on the other side of the fence, and is well kept and will also be monitored with a CCTV. The parking lot is important because when external threats think about theft, using a vehicle to get away is a preferred option. The parking lot will have plenty of space and a booth will be at the entry and exit. One of my employees will work at the booth and control entry and exit of every vehicle. Depending on how much money you have invested and the amount of products needing insurance may depend on the cost of good insurance. You can never be too sure that your shop will not get burglarized successfully and having insurance can protect those very costly items. This is a great countermeasure to have in place and if any products do come up missing, you will be glad you had insurance. Insurance will counter some losses to my company if my high priced items get stolen.
Additionally, insurance will protect all your security measures already in place. If a fire broke out, insurance should cover a portion of the cost to make repairs. If items get damaged during fire insurance it would help cover the cost as well. Sometimes external threats could start a fire and having protection is a smart practice to consider. Loss prevention is an area that always needs to be looked into for my shops and without insurance, losses would accumulate. My shops need the internet and many other electronic devices to ensure ordering and day to day tasks can be completed. Cyber-attacks can happen at any time and on just about any device imaginable. What countermeasures can I have in place to counter the external hackers trying to attack my electronics needed? For starters sound anti-virus and firewall software must be installed on all computers.
I would have an information technology specialist. According to Ronald pike (2013), white hat hackers are the good guys and understand the rules. (p. 67) I will have one white hat hacker and he or she will constantly ensure all systems are running without any external attackers taking or gathering information. The computer specialists will check the system as much as needed and if any suspicion occurs they will immediately do what is necessary to counter the
