Hypothesis: There is no relation between perceived parental acceptance rejection and the disruptive behavior of children. Objectives: The main aim of the study is to examine whether the disruptive behaviors of children in the classroom are due to their perceived parental acceptance or rejection. Methodology Operational Definition: Parental acceptance can be defined as the affection, concern, approval and support that parents express towards their children. Acceptance can be physical and verbal. Physical expression incorporates embracing, caressing, stroking, affirming looks, and other such endorsements. The idea of adoption has been around far longer than the formal legal system of adoption in place today. In the bible, there is a passage detailing the adoption of Ester by her cousin, Mordecai, after the death of her parents. Ancient Greeks, Egyptians, Romans, and Babylonians all had their own systems of adoption. Adoption systems differ from country to country. United States citizens who internationally adopt today allow for the blending of cultures, languages, traditions, and ideals. In contrast, the practice of adult adoption in Japan is a particularly interesting system used quite differently and reflects a lot of traditional Japanese culture itself.

Diana Baumrind’s theory on parenting was defined by four different types. The types are, authoritative style, authoritarian style, permissive style, and uninvolved style. My parents have an authoritative style. Authoritative is when the parents give certain limits and restrictions but keep it to a minimum and are usually pretty reasonable, providing reasoning for their decisions. This type of parenting style expresses tenderness and warmth. When the rules come into conflict with something, authoritative parents bend the rule more often than other types of parents.

A parent’s involvement is important for their brains’ development because the parent can offer stability and security which is necessary for a child to grow. Children that have been observed experiencing separation from their parents will respond through different mediums. Children can also respond with different behaviors that are either short term and can develop into long term habits or parts of their personality. Children are sensitive creatures that do not respond well to unstable environments. A parent’s separation from their child could be more detrimental in some cases than staying in their child’s life.

Neglect (the failure to provide for the child?s basic needs) can be physical, educational, or emotional. Physical neglect can include not providing adequate food, clothing, appropriate medical care, supervision, or proper weather protection (heating or coats) to the child. Educational neglect can include failure to provide appropriate schooling or special educational needs, allowing excessive truancies, to the child. Psychological neglect is the lack of any emotional support and love, never attending to the child, spousal abuse, or drug and alcohol abuse including allowing the child to participate in drug and alcohol use.
During the first few stages of both theories, we see challenges in the development of the child and we also see challenges that a child might face during some, if not all forms of attachment theory. For example, a parent ignoring the child and speaking to them in a negative manner during insecure-avoidant attachment can be challenging for a child and lead to insecurities and the feeling of not being loved and/or wanted. Additionally, the theme of independence is seen throughout both theories and can also be related specifically to insecure-avoidant attachment where the child does not focus his or her attention on the parents but instead looks to the outside world for assistance. Every parent has different skills that they use when dealing with their child. Growing up I had two parents with completely different techniques on how to handle situations with me. Both of my parents love me unconditionally, and would give me the entire world if they could. For every parent, teaching lessons and earning respect is a very important aspect to them. Each of my parents love me so much, but both have very different ways of showing affection, discipline, and communication.

Abandonment, the action or fact of abandoning or being abandoned, is an issue not only shown in Jennifer Clément’s “Prayer of the Stolen” but that is also prevalent in today’s society. Although abandonment comes in many forms, abandonment of the family, and daughters specifically will be the main focus in this research paper. Child Abandonment in specific is also known today as a form of neglect and is classified as a parent leaving a child for a lengthy period of time, without providing any type of financial support or clear intentions to return to the child’s life. This neglect has a number of negative short term as well as long-term effects on families, and children specifically.
In this paper I am going to critically discuss how parental involvement in children's education does make a positive difference to pupils' achievement. I will be using research in differing trustworthy media such as literature, journals and government documents to strengthen my discussion.
