O Is For Orchestra O is for orchestra because I'm in orchestra and play the violin. Ive been in orchestra since fifth grade. In the fifth grade I played the violin and in sixth grade I played the bass and in seventh grade I decided I like the violin better so I switched back to the violin. Over the years I have gotten really good and learned quite a lot of songs. I love the violin so much because I love this high sounds of it. Sometimes when I hear a violin playing really high while the whole orchestra is playing low I think it sounds pretty. I play my violin at sometime for my family and they always like it. My grandpa always request songs for me to learn, and I try to learn to learn them fast so he can give me another song suggestion.
For almost 8 years of my life, playing the cello has influenced my life in so many extraordinary ways. Choosing the cello over any instrument, was probably one of the best decisions I will have ever made, in the 5th grade. The violin was way too high, the viola was way too small, while the upright bass was way too big. I knew at that very moment that the cello was the instrument that I wanted to play. The warmth of the instruments tone, and the powerful sound that came out of the f-holes drew me in so quickly.
Music is a large consumption of my daily life and the artists I listen to have shaped me in some way. Listening to music is one of my most time

The violin is one of the most recognizable musical sounds heard around the world today. They are used in pop concerts, classical symphonies, small ensembles, chamber ensembles, and much more. Although the violin is a vital part of today’s music, it was also a vital part to the beginning of music. The Renaissance period, which is roughly from 1400 AD to 1700 AD, saw the rise of the violin as a professional instrument, “Throughout the second half of the sixteenth century the violin was an exclusively professional instrument.” This period saw the rise of the violin to a prominent status among musical composers. The Classical Period, which is from around 1750 AD to 1820 AD, gave way to artists like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven.

The following Christmas half way through my fifth grade year, I received my first string instrument. Immediately I dropped the clarinet and fell in love with that cheap, 45 dollar, first act guitar. Everywhere I went, it followed. I was 11 at the time and that 45 dollar guitar made me feel like the hotshot of the town. Music made me happy.

The organ is an instrument that dates back to the third century B.C. The man credited for this invention is Ctesibius of Alexandria who invented an instrument called the hydraulis, which used wind maintained through water pressure to some pipes. Organs are most likely found in churches and are used during the services. Its divine pitch imitates that of a human voice and creates a beautiful sound that many find pleasing. There are three types of organs, non-piped, electronic, and mechanical organs. Non-piped organs are much like accordions and harmonicas. Electronic organs make electronically produced sounds through speakers. Then the mechanical organs are controlled usually by pinned barrels or book music.
The violin helps me relax, focus, and be happy. Playing the violin is like walking through a colorful forest filled with singing birds, tall trees, and mysterious adventures. My violin has been there for me through good times and bad times, providing me with a sense of comfort. Playing the violin is my greatest

For many people, middle school is a time when for discovering who you are and what makes you unique. At the middle school I attended, it was also a time for deciding whether you would be in band or choir. At the time I had no interest in either activity I decided to choose band, mostly because most of my friends were signing up for band. We were then instructed to make a list of our top two choices of instrument to play and a few weeks later we would try each one out to see which we would be best at.
I don’t enjoy it as much as reading, but I do love it to a certain point. When I was little my Nanny would always sing me to sleep—she would sing a song about angels watching over us. As I grew older I was… well fascinated in singing, so I started to sing with her. At church on Sunday mornings and nights I would sing with her and the choir. I would sometimes even sing alone when I was about nine. So it became an all-time thing as I noticed myself singing on my own. It’s special to me because it reminds me of my grandparents on both sides of my family. My grandpa Gurthey, on my mother’s side, sings and plays guitar. My Nanny, on my dad’s side, sings all of the time, so I pretty much have it in my blood to sing. My role model, a famous musical artist, is Carrie Underwood, she has a beautiful voice, is beautiful, and isn’t afraid to tell people about her Religion. I feel like I’m something
It is often said that music is to the soul, what words are to the mind. Music is occasionally used to express feelings that we aren’t able to put into words. I find it amazing that instrumental pieces, pieces where there are no lyrics, are still able to move us and ignite something within us. I have been in the school orchestra for 7 years, and this has brought me the utmost pleasure by being able to perform for various crowds and seeing the smiles on their faces when each piece closes. Through music, a connection can be established and through playing or listening, emotions can be released. By playing for others or by encouraging others to play themselves, I am able to awaken the spirits within them; a passion is renewed or found and a new reason...
