Part one
check the boxes for all possible problems before breaking it down
Let’s assume we have a pallet in manual check and we want to break it down to 80 totes. If this pallet has any problem such as not on shipment, no PO, no barcode then we will create 80 problems from just one problem and then problem become bigger when we inject 80 problems to the line 16 because everybody in 20 stations will pick one of the totes and turn on his blue and waiting for problem solver to fix the problem. This kind of problems definitely will slow down all associate at the line and they will put more pressure to problem solver and water spider while we need to stop creating problem from the manual check.
My suggestion for this part of problem is to have

a check list for each tote with this close end question.
• Is there ASIN, abroad, upc on all item in the tote.
• Scan ASIN, abroad, upc in FC research a confirm it works and has PO (purchase order) connect to it
• Scan FBA label and make sure PO is the same with the PO connected to the ASIN
• Check the item for PREP
• Check the item for Hazmat
By these 5 steps check I believe we can reduce problems at line 16 up to less than 5 percent however it must be zero because if we have a problem solver in manual check than why we should inject problems to the lines.

Part two
Problem receives
As you know box has very important labels attached to it.one of the important labels is FBA label. In manual check we are generating frx and then throwing away the box. The most complicated problems at the line 16 is when PO connected to the ASIN does not match with PO connected to frx. As my experience 90 percent of books have this kind of problem.
Let’s assume we have a box of books in manual check and PO connected to ASIN dose not match with PO connected to FBA then the question is how we can receive the items? My answer is we can trust FBA label and receive the item as a problem receive but how we can receive the item if we don’t have FBA label? we already throw away the box with FBA and only attached frx to the tote.
My suggestion for this part is we can easily copy FBA label and attach it to the tote then in case the POs do not match together still we will be able to receive the items and avoid creating yellow problems (yellow totes with different single items on it, without any researchable

information)
Finally, I suggest if this method works effectively we can develop it to other area like NPC
