Hello, Dr. Honore, and Readers of the Journal Entry
We are now at the mid-term of this course and I agree that we are progressing. The interesting challenges are embraced. I hope it will remain so as the course unfolds further. This unit’s Journal Entry, as usual, documents my learnings, my feelings, my reactions and my thinking towards this week’s learning concept.
This Week’s Tasks
This week’s task is less difficult as the previous challenging ones. I strongly believe the reason for this is that I am able to master the approaches I take in tackling each task. I follow each task one after the other at a particular time-bound. Avoiding procrastination is a discipline I learned from experience. Just like our parents will put it, “Experience

Parameters served as part of the interface of a subroutine or method (Eck, 2014). Although I am not a beginner, the fundamental meanings and application of parameter with respect to methods or subroutine is a necessary thing to know. I am very grateful for this. The reading assignment makes exclusive elaboration of the return values and Application Programming Interface (API). Sincerely, I never thought that the java packages have some already made modules for Graphical User Interface (GUI). This will make programming more interesting later on, as this course …show more content…
I realized that the requirement asked for the program were already implemented in all my previous programming assignments. For instance creating a subroutine and calling a method from another subroutine and so on. These methodologies were already done by me in my previously submitted works. That was why I felt my previous works were too overdone. The programming assignment completely encompasses the parameter and subroutine topics that were read in the book. The palindrome programming assignment was challenging and interesting.
One particularly challenging aspect was how to get rid of all entered character from the user input that is not letters ranging from “a-to-z”. I was able to make use of the hint provided by the instructor in the learning guide to get rid of those unwanted characters and thereby stripping the user inputs.

Just as they are standing face-to-face with each other, I am standing face-to-face with procrastination. I encounter difficulty managing my time with just about everything I do; I always wait too long. Throughout high school I was never in a hurry to get any of my work done. The work was easy to me, so if I waited until the last minute to do anything, it wasn’t hard for me to finish. I could always take my time to get everything done and still get a good grade in high school. Even if the work was harder and took me a little extra time, my teachers were all very lenient and accepted late work. My high school was very easy and allowed me to get into the bad habit of procrastinating.
The human body is everything that makes up, well, you. The basic parts of the human body are the head, neck, torso, arms, and legs. Our bodies consist of a number of biological systems that carry out specific functions necessary for everyday living. The following paragraphs are going to explain the functions of two different body systems.
A parallel bus system is a bus system that transfers several data bits at the same time. This bus system requires wide buses because large chunks of data need to be transferred faster. Parallel buses usually have 8, 16, 32 or 64 data lines. A parallel bus system includes: ISA, PCI, VESA, and EISA buses. (Mueller, S. & Zacker, C. 1988).
It was November 12 when spacecraft Rosetta caught up with the comet called Churyumov-Gerasimenko better know as 67P (Lauren, 2014). The journey took 6.4 billion miles to complete (Lauren, 2014). Also Rosetta sent a lander called Philae to explore the comet and take picture among other things (Lauren, 2014). Interestingly enough when the media reported the comet landing I thing is trumped Kim kardashian attempt at breaking the internet with her nude photos which the media was cover at about the same time as the comet landing. With all that being said you might be asking why should I care? You should care about this comet because comets came from and can tell us about our solar system, also there has not been any unique and important mission as this one, further more it might be the last space mission we get to experience for a while. Now I am going to get in to what comets are and how they got here and talk a little bit
One of these reason's is that I love helping people and the server out. When I can make someone happy, it's not only making them happy, but me as well. Helping just comes natural to me and I don't really know why. I've been like that as a kid too. I wouldn't say I'm a brainiac in school but I excel in my classes. But when someone needs tutoring or help, I'm always the first one to say "I will." And the same applies for Minecraft. Another reason why I decided to apply today is because, I love Faithful's community and server as a whole. MaverickYT introduced me to this great and supporting community. You know some HCF server's, people can be not as nice as they could be. And people on this server, think differently. I don't know what makes the people on here above any other server. My last and final reason is that, the community is starting to become toxic. It's not completely toxic, I'm just saying it's starting to get there. Even though there are some really nice and giving people on Faithful, there is always a bad part to all things. And I really want to fix this. Me being able to help out and try to bring positivity to the server, is what I've been trying to do forever. And me being a staff member can maybe get my word out there. Thank you for letting me apply for staff. And I hope to see some
Procrastination has become such a bad habit for me. It is very hard to stop procrastinating everything once you have gotten into the habit of doing it. Once I had a term paper due for my religion class. It was to be ten pages long and we were told to spend a lot of time doing it. Being the procrastinator that I am, I waited to the very last minute to do it. I waited until the night before to do most of it. Needless to say, I was up very late that night. In this class there was always a part of the paper due on a certain date before the final paper was due. Having things due before the final paper is due keeps me on task and keeps me from procrastinating until the day before the paper is due. There was one paper which we had to get sources for a while before the paper was due and it forced me to keep up with the paper, rather than let it go to the last minute. This class has taught me that the earlier you start the more positive your final result will be.
This means that the punishment will take place in jails. Another key provision of AB 109
With this degree I hope to fill a gap in this industry, but also to use this as a starting point
As I opened the front door of the IBM Building, my next chapter in life began. My eyes widen as I observed my teacher writing code on the smartboard. Uneasiness and fear rushed down my spine. I was the only person among fourteen girls without prior knowledge of coding. I spent eight hours in a confined room learning how to code. My computer science teacher appointed assignments in HTML and Python.
After my twelfth grade, the inherent ardor I held for Computer Sciencemotivated me to do a bachelors degree in Information Technology. Programming and Math, a paragon of logic and reasoning have always been my favorite subjects since childhood. I still vividly remember the time during my graduation, when I was successful in creating a simple calculator application as a class assignment. The joy I derived from creating something that is used by a lot of people to help them perform complex calculations, made me realize the power of computing in its true sense. It was also in my graduation that I developed an immense interest in programming languages such as Java, C++ an...
Ferrari, J. R. (2010). Still procrastinating: the no-regrets guide to getting it done. Hoboken, N.J.: Wiley.
A. H. C. Chu and J. N. Choi, psychologists, distinguished two types of protracting, they discovered that active procrastination has attainable characteristics that lead to positive personal outcomes (Choi and Moran). These positive personal outcomes are a result of waiting at its finest. People with these adequate dilatory skills have probably learned from their deficient habits in the past that may help everyone know that the view of holding off can change. Writing this essay has changed my view on procrastination slightly, as I can see how it can be good for you. With my siblings, my free time is limited.
In my conclusions this is a better topic for someone in a more advanced class but it is a good way to save time when writing involved programs. I hope to learn more about this subject as I progress in my programming, and use this newfound knowledge to my advantage.
My undergraduate preparation at the Computer Science of my University has given me a very substantial knowledge of the basic areas of Computer Science. Any amount of learning in Computer Science would be incomplete without hands on experience of Programming. In a world where...
