Northwestern Polytechnic University
Known for being one of the safest and cleanest neighborhoods in California is the city of Fremont and on the south side of the city, between Fremont city proper and Milpitas, stands the pride of Fremont- Northwestern Polytechnic University (NPU). Established in 1984 by Dr. Barbara Brown and Dr. Ramsey Carter, NPU is an institution that offers high-standard technical and business education at undergraduate and graduate levels. NPU is also a non-profit institution.
Philosophy

The school of Engineering offers degree programs on two major areas- Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Masters courses are also available on Electrical Engineering (MSEE) and Computer Science (MSCS).
The School of Business Administration and Information Technology offers a degree program, Bachelor of Business Administration and Information Sciences (BBAIS), and a graduate program, Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A).
NPU also offers various General Education courses such as English, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and Humanities.
Student Life
NPU student life is dynamic and colorful. Aside from regular studies, students can member themselves in six or so student organizations for various extra-curricular activities. Fremont is a diverse community and so is NPU. Almost 50% of the students are foreigners of different origins, which makes it an ideal multi-cultural school.
Seminar and Workshops
Not only does NPU deliver high-quality education on regular courses, it also organizes different seminars and workshops to give the students maximum exposures on current issues and recent developments in technology.
